B: Jessie snuggled into him. She felt his warmth around her, and she smiled. As he kissed her, she felt desire for more than that. She pushed it away and into him. She wrapped her arm around his mid-waist and pulled herself closer. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. She fell fast asleep in his arms and was in bliss.
As she slept her mind wandered to places, she had never been. She dreamed of doing things with Isaac she never thought she would ever think, but subconsciously she knew this is what she had truly wanted. As she felt his arms around her dreams deepened.
I: Isaac slept peacefully for a few hours, not completely used to having someone in his arms, but the feeling was irreplaceable. There was a light buzzing and he knew it was his mundane phone that he kept for emergency reasons from his mundane contacts. Humans could not see demons yet there were a few humans who knew exactly what to do when their mundane ways failed to save lives. Zack grabbed the phone from the nightstand. He whispered quietly so he wouldn't wake Jess. "Yeah? Marcus? Slow down. I'm on my way." Zack hung up and looked down at her sleeping face. She was dreaming and he didn't want to disturb her. He softly kissed her head and slipped from the bed and covered her up.
Isaac dressed silently. He knew if he and Jess were going to date, that he needed to do this often, leave her in bed while he handled the more complicated and advanced missions. He dressed in the usual black leather, slipped on his boots and jacket and hurried to grab his Stele holster and his swords. Isaac didn't have time to leave a note, so he rushed out of his room and met up with the other emergency hunters at the steps of the entrance to the Institute.

The next morning was filled with screams. The infirmary was filled with the hunters from the night before, most of them hollering in pain and spitting up blood. Poison, broken bones and open wounds. Isaac barely made it as he carried one of the other hunters over his shoulder, trying to get the last of them into a bed.
"Another one? Get me an IV! I got him Zack." The nurse helped Zack carry the hunter to a bed. "Is that it? Are there more?" She asked Isaac and he nodded slowly.
Zack was exhausted. Last night was an ambush and not only had the hunters been defeated, mundane lives were also lost. This was a constant battle between good and evil, and Isaac knew they could not win every fight. Zack stood to go back to his room, wanting so badly to go back to sleep, back to Jess, and just hold her. This is why he cared for her so much. He never cared about his life or his own survival until he met her, and when the demons overwhelmed them last night, he kept fighting to get back to her. He was at the Institute now, safe, and in need of a shower.
Zack slowly made his way back to his room, and he looked down to grab the door handle. On the floor was a puddle of blood. Zack touched his side, and he felt no pain. It was numb...completely numb. He pulled back his jacket and more blood leaked. He had been hit but was so determined to help his hunting partners escape that he completely ignored his injuries. Zack needed to address it quickly. He unlocked the door to his room before the sun actually hit the sky. He entered the doorway to see her still asleep. He felt the world spin, and he fell to the floor unconscious like a heavy sack of bricks.
B: Jess had woken to an empty room. She was sad he had left her but knew this was how it was going to be. She waited for an hour before she went to find Isaac. She heard the screams and ran to the infirmary. She saw blood and everyone rushing around. She ran to a nurse. "Is there an Isaac here?" She asked and the nurse shook her head. "He helped bring people in, but he left a moment ago. To his bedroom I believe." Jess thanked her and ran. She ran to Isaac's room and found him in his room on the floor.
"ISAAC!!!" She screamed and rushed to him. She looked at all the blood and screamed again. "HELP ME, HUNTER DOWN GET HELP NOW!!!!" She cried and she tried to pick him up. Seth had heard her screams and rushed to her. He helped her pick Isaac up and carry him to the infirmary. Once there, Jess was hysterical. He tried to comfort her, but she pushed him away and fell to the floor and held herself. Isaac was in bad space and she was afraid that he may die.
~~Several hours later~~
Jess sat beside Isaac's bed with puffy eyes. She had not moved nor spoken to anyone. She only watched Isaac. Seth had gone to her room and retrieve a few books, but Jess would not touch them. She had been crying off and on the whole time. All she could think about was Isaac dying.
"Miss Jessie, you should rest dear." A nurse said with a soft voice. She only shook her head and grabbed his hand. "I cannot leave him. Never. He is the only one in this damned place that makes it worthwhile. He is the only one that can make my life worthwhile." She sobbed and the nurse patted her shoulder and left her be.
