1 SPRING BEGINS

The morning sun crept through the beds of our three high schoolers. They all woke up as they saw the pink petals on their shining window, they thought to themselves..."Its spring again...". As they got out of bed lazily they heard the birds singing, the smell of breakfast, and the sight of a dark room only lit up by the rays of the sun. Our main character, Stan, an average 16 year old, said to himself as he was getting ready

"Today is the day".

As our two other characters, Kate and Anne, had thought this was a normal, beautiful, spring day, it wasn't. As they all got ready for school, had their savory breakfast, and warm baths, they all set out for school in the streets covered in pink petals. They all met in the rusty but freshly painted gate of Nasishimi High.

"Yooo Stan!" says Anne joyfully, as she waves hysterically at him.

Anne is Stan's childhood friend since grade school she also has a crush on him since middle school.

"Hello Anne!"

They met up with Kate, the beautiful, popular girl some would even call the goddess of the school, she is also liked by many men, including Stan. Stan arrived earlier than anyone else so he slid a letter into Kate's locker containing these words:

"Dear Kate,

Please meet me behind the school after school at 5 pm

sincerely yours: ;)"

Stan was hesitant at first, but had the courage to slip it in her locker nervously. At lunch, Kate saw the letter, at first she said it was a waste of time, but she felt like it was a good idea. She felt like she can recognize the penmanship, but couldn't put her finger on it. After school, she went to the back of the school. The bright after noon lights were shining down upon her as she saw Stan, she was perplexed but thought that Stan might be the friend of the guy who was gonna confess.

"Stan! Have you seen your friend?"

"What do you mean?" says Stan confused

"You know, the one that was going to confess"
