Tree of Mana

In the year 21XX, a large meteor crashed into the Earth. It contained crystals and stones never before seen. Scientists from all over the world formed together in order to know that surroundings of this unknown material. In the midst of experiments, the meteorite sunk deep into the earth and sprouted a tree. A tree that looks down from the heavens. After it appeared, mysterious things were happening on the world. Animals have changed their forms, bigger and stronger. Cats having wings, insects became large beasts, stags seen being able to control the earth. With the animals out of control, the leaders of the countries were in the state of turmoil. In the midst of finding ways for the world to be at peace, the first person to wield fire was seen. A baby flying out of her crib and numerous events that were only seen movies are not fiction anymore. The world as we know it is now filled with mana. The earth, the air, anywhere on this planet, mana is abundant. And with this great power it will either be for the good or for the inner greed of the wielder. Around 200 years later, a girl was born that would later become the inspirations of millions, one of the strongest wizards ever known. ○~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•○ That's basically the prologue ^~^. A story that has been on my mind. English is not my first language so please correct my mistakes. Since this is my first time writing a story, please give me criticisms in order to further improve my writing skills. Some tips may be nice.
