15 Maybe I was wrong about him

After the two girls tried the magic of the library, Isabelle desperately urged Ishkaria to move on to other sites. Naturally Isabelle wanted to return the books but professor Laila insisted that they should hold onto it for a period of time as a reminder of their first book to borrow in which Ishkaria happily agreed. Isabelle have no choice but to comply.

Next they toured the various wonders and locations around Althrea, Ishkaria is taking the lead while Isabelle happily followed her.

Soon they arrived at a large garden at the corner of the school. This place was very quiet and peaceful. But for Isabelle, The garden of Balthazar and here are worlds apart, but this place has it's own charms.

"Whoever tend these flowers made a great job" said Ishkaria in which Isabelle agreed.

"Though It is not as good as the ones I saw before, this place and the air that blow here feels nice and comfortable, away from everything" Ishkaria looked at Isabelle with a puzzled expression

"The ones you saw before?" Ishkaria asked.

"Oh right, do you remember about the fairies I told you before?"

"ah that? what about it?"

"Apparently Balthazar made this garden that even fairies took a liking and lived there"

"Ehhhh? I can only imagine how beautiful that place is. Though it's not strange that Balthazar made a garden, given that he is an alchemist. Having your own herbs is better than collecting at some other places after all"

"But fairies huh, from what I heard they are rare and mysterious creatures, but is that really the case?" Isabelle casually asked while holding her chin as if thinking of something. From what she from Balthazar's garden, there are quite few of them in there and pixies too.

"Of course they are, fairies and pixies rarely interacts us. Those magnificent creatures loves to live on their own, hmm come to think of it monks of Enthua highly respected fairies"

This tingled the interest of Isabelle "And why is that?" She asked.

Ishkaria scratched her head trying to remember something "If I remember correctly my father said that fairies have a very strong connection to the spirits, and that fairies and pixies might have been a primal spirit themselves. Back to the Balthazar, He doesn't really look like a person who would make that kind of garden right?"

Isabelle's eyes sparkled. "Right?! He doesn't look like one right?! He looks much more like a-"

Isabelle was interrupted by a loud voice not far from their location. The two quickly investigate the origin of the voice.

There they saw a group of students numbering five of them ganging up on a single student that is on the ground. Isabelle and Ishkaria hid in the corner behind a tree while observing the situation. Naturally Isabelle wanted to help the girl but after observing what can she do? Those people ganging up on the lone girl were their seniors, a few levels higher than theirs.

"Hey Villain, your kind don't belong here in Althrea. An offspring of a villain is always a villain" Said one of male student

"I'm sorry senior if I offended you somehow, please take this as an apology" The girl offered him her food. But the latter threw the muffin that she offered away.

"Just you being here is a serious offense, And a food by a commoner much more a villain? who in their right mind would accept those?"

The girl bowed her head while holding her tears. Isabelle could not take it anymore. Just as when she was about to help the girl, a clanging metal and footsteps was heard behind the group of students.

The students quickly made way for the person and deeply bowed their heads and flee from the area. It was professor Balthazar, he was holding a metal box full of herbs.

Balthazar knelt beside the girl, "What caused your distress lass?"

"It's nothing sir, thank you for your concern" the girl answered.

Balthazar grabbed the fallen muffin on the ground. "Did you bake this yourself?" Balthazar asked.

"Yes professor"

"Can I have it?"

The girl was puzzled, she looked at Balthazar who was holding the muffin. "Professor, that thing is made by a person like me"

"And what about you? I see only a lovely apprentice in front of me"

The girl's vision blurred as she could not hold her tears anymore "But sir it already fell and most likely dirty" Her speech was stuttering.

"Almost anything can be fixed with magic" Balthazar casts a spell on the muffin and it went back as it was before it fell.

Meanwhile not far, behind a tree. Isabelle and Ishkaria were still watching.

"Maybe I was wrong about him" said Isabelle. as she looked at the two, she does not know it yet but deep in her heart, she felt envy on the girl beside Balthazar.
