27 Both of you, What happened?

Isabelle went to Althrea first, Balthazar said that something came up and she should go first.

After wandering around the academy with Ishkaria, Isabelle manage to memorize most of the important places and thus she finally knew her way to her class.

Isabelle found Ishkaria already inside the room then she waved at her, But somehow she was rather listless.

Did something happened?

For now, Isabelle sat beside her and observed her friend. She waved in her face, Poked her, pinched her, tickled her and even punched her but there was no reaction from Ishkaria.

Really now, What exactly happened? Isn't this the time where she is supposed to tell me how she peeked and tried to grope professor Celestina?

"Hey, Ishkaria can you tell me what's wrong?" Isabelle asked.

But still, No response from Ishkaria. Isabelle tried to call her out a couple more times to the point that it is starting to annoy Isabelle, But still there was no response.

"You're miss Isabelle right? I've heard so much about you from miss Ishkaria"

A girl called out Isabelle. Isabelle looked towards the girl who called out to her.

It was Frey, But somehow she had the same listless expression of Ishkaria but not as severe as the latter.

"Ah yes, Do you know what happened to her, and also you? Seriously you two looked like someone who've gotten their sweet rolls stolen!"

"Ah that, If you don't know miss Ishkaria and I were professor Celestina's apprentice, And a lot happened yesterday"

Frey then began to explain what happened after Isabelle and Ishkaria parted ways.

When Ishkaria arrived at Celestina's room she then met another of her apprentice, It was Frey.

After they were Exhausted after being battered by the long lectures of Celestina. Celestina then discovered Ishkaria's 'Toys' and erotic pictures of different girl apprentice mages of Althrea, So she burned them all.

Toys? That Elf actually brought those things in this academy?!

Isabelle sighed.

"That's so her. Then, Why are you like that too? Don't tell me you have those kinds of things too?!"

"NO NO NO!, Actually, It's related to another event from yesterday"

Event from yesterday?

Isabelle then realized something. The date from yesterday!

'Oh Frey, I know the feeling of disappointment. You thought you can finally see the face behind the mask, But wazamm! He hit us with the magic of his mask'

"Ah, His mask is weird right? I don't really get how it works though"

"Uhm, That? I'm not really weirded out by his mask for me It was actually kinda cool, Wait, miss Isabelle how did you know about his mask?"

"hahaha, Actually we went into his office and saw him drink his tea and uhm, I did not eavesdrop on your date not even a single bit. Well that is if the two of you did ever date on that garden, Which you two did not hahaha. Yes I did peek I'm so sorry"

Isabelle surrendered to Frey's piercing gaze and knelt in front of her.

Frey then quickly panicked when Isabelle knelt in front of her "It's okay I forgive you miss Isabelle so please raise your head!"

"Actually, The reason why I'm like this is that I really want to be his apprentice but I heard that he never took anyone before in Althrea, Well I guess that being an apprentice of his apprentice before is fine"

"You want to be an apprentice of that old man? Why?"

"When I was eleven years old I was brought here in Althrea, It was five years ago. But before that, I was a street child. I know you already know that my parents are mages that did bad things, So after the war I was abandoned and shunned by the others because of my parents. But professor Balthazar and Celestina took me in Althrea were they cleaned and fed me, Taught me how to read and write, How to use my power not like how my parents used them. He taught me that I belonged somewhere and a part of something. In my time here in Althrea, He became the parent that I always want but never had"

Frey was astonished when she was embraced by Isabelle. Tears fell from her eyes.

"Miss Isabelle? What's wrong?"

"My body moved on it's own, I don't know why and I don't know why I'm sad either"

Isabelle is not aware of her own feelings yet. Deep inside, She wanted a parent of her own.

Unlike Frey, Isabelle had her grandfather who was with her. But every time she saw a child smiling happily to his parents holding both of his hands, She felt a deep sadness.

Every time he asked his grandfather about her parents. He would ignore her and kept trying to change the subject.

The reason why she wanted to join the mages of the dawn order is to know the fate of her parents. If her grandfather wont give her the answers she seek, Then she will find it on her own.
