Chapter 6

Rong is an early riser. Everyday she would wake up early and the nurse helps her to exercise her muscles.

So like every other day, she woke up early and finished her morning exercise. She had already finished washing up and was waiting for her breakfast.

The nurse came and was serving her the breakfast. Suddenly the nurse looked outside, she nodded and then left the room without saying anything.

"Umm... Where are you going?" Rong asked. But the nurse did not reply.

After a few seconds Li Shaoqing entered the room.

He came close to her bed and stood there while putting his hands in his pockets. He didn't have any expression on his face. He stood there like a lifeless object.

"Umm... Do you need anything?" Li Rong asked. She thought that he came to apologise for yesterday's rude behavior.

"What were you doing last night?" There was no sign of gentleness in his voice. It looked like he came to interrogate her instead.

"I wanted to take a look around." Even though Li Shaoqing was still being rude, Li Rong tried to behave sweetly towards her husband and replied with a bright smile.

"Is that so?" Li Shaoqing frowned.

"What do you mean by that?" Li Rong could not understand why he was acting like that.

The man in front of her says that he is her husband. But the way he treats her is like he has held her captive.

"Why would you need to look around in the middle of the night? Did you need something? You could have just told the nurse." Li Shaoqing explained his question.

Li Rong didn't know what to say. Does he mean that he cares for her? Or does he just not want her to go outside?

Li Rong kept her head down and slowly said, "You are saying that you are my husband. But from the moment that I woke you didn't even talk with me properly. Not only that I don't remember marrying you. I don't remember living in a house like this. So it's normal for me to want to look around the house. But I was not allowed to take a step outside this room. So, of course, I have to sneak out in the middle of the night. If I am kept in this kind of situation then how can I make myself trust you?"

After saying all her thoughts Li Rong took a deep breath.

She looked at Li Shaoqing with anticipated eyes to get an answer to her question.

But the person next to her didn't say anything in reply. He was like lost in his own thoughts. He looked her for a moment and then replied shortly, "Wait for me when I return home tonight."

After saying that he left for the office.

Li Rong was shocked. Is all husbands are like that?

Even if she can't remember her past life and past relationships, she is definitely sure of one thing that husbands are not suppose to be like him.

She went deep in thought that how did she ended up with a person like him?

Since Li Shaoqing told her to wait for him, Li Rong waited the whole day for him with great anticipation.

Her eyes would search the large clock hanged on the wall behind her bed from time to time to see if it's 10 pm.

Soon the time she was waiting for came. It was 10 pm on the clock.

But still there was no sign of him coming home.

After a while it was 10.15... then 10.30...

She was waiting for him all day. And now he was late. Soon Li Rong started to become restless. She doesn't even know his phone number. Even the nurse didn't know his number, she only had Lilly's phone number and that was for emergency.

Being scolded that rudely yesterday; Li Rong wouldn't dare to call Lilly to take Li Shaoqing's number from her.

So all she could do was to ponder around her room.

After a few moments of pondering finally the sound of Li Shaoqing's car could be heard.

"He finally came!" Li Rong exclaimed with joy.

She wanted to go and open the door for him but the nurse stopped her.

"Miss, you are still weak. You should not run like this. I will get the door for you. You can wait for Mr. Li here."

Saying so, she went downstairs.

After a few minutes the nurse came. But she looked perplexed.

"What happened?" Li Rong asked.

"Miss, I told Mr. Li that you have been waiting for him. But he didn't say anything and went straight to his room."

"What?"

Li Rong had been waiting for him all day just because he told her to. And now he is showing her cold shoulder!

She couldn't wait any more. And now her doubt on him is becoming more deep.

"I will talk to him myself." Saying so Li Rong got up from her bed.

The nurse wanted to follow her but she immediately stopped her.

"You don't have to follow me. I can manage." Saying so she left the room.

But she immediately returned.

"Which room is his?" She asked the nurse.

"Oh! It's right beside the study room."

"Study room!" she asked with confusion.

"It's the room you sneaked into yesterday." the nurse explain.

"Thanks." Li Rong gave her a smile and left.
