Chapter 117: Revelation III

Charlton chuckled then shook his head. "If her highness would be agreeable to it, then I don't see why not." 

Duke Ligeti's grin spread wide with Charlton's words. His excitement and delight very much evident on his face. "Good! Good!" he said twice, then added, "I shall hold you on to that."

Charlton smiled in return and continued engaging on idle conversation with the ducal couple. As the duke waved over someone, his gaze drifted towards the entrance. He wondered what could have happened that caused Serena's delay. The event started about half an hour ago and she still wasn't there. It's a good thing that she told the duke that she'll arrive, or he would have left already.
