2 Restaurant System?

"So you're telling me this is a restaurant? And it's mine?" I said to the floating text.

[Indeed, as you were the first to sign up, this restaurant is now your's.]

Huh, that's cool.

So after a few poking and testing I have come to realize two things. One, I am indeed in a restaurant, which according to the floating text, is mine, and two, I have a system.

Saying I was a bit shocked is an understatement. I mean, who wouldn't be shocked after suddenly gaining a system like in those fanfics?!? Having a system is basically every reader's wet dream!

"Wait the advertisement was legit?"

[Yes, it was.]

Interesting.

I'm still somewhat confused, so I asked the floating text a question. "So what kind of system are you? And do you have a name? I can't keep referring to you as "floating text" in my head."

[I am a Restaurant System with the purpose of helping you manage the restaurant. You can call me Meta, though you have the option of changing my name as you wish.]

Restaurant System? So it's not a combat focused system like in some fics. Unfortunate, but it's still a system.

I asked the floating text, Meta, some questions again. "What's so special about this restaurant?"

[This restaurant is connected to the multiverse, meaning any being from the multiverse may come inside the restaurant. Should you desire, you may also visit the guest's verse, with their permission.]

"The multiverse is real?!"

[Yes, everything that has ever been thought of exists. Every media- anime, comics, TV shows, have their own universe and exist in their own reality. The Restaurant acts as a bridge between worlds.]

That's... terrifying to think about. Knowing us humans as a race will never amount to nothing in the grand scheme of things since in the end, we were never truly special, we were mere grains in a bag of rice.

Putting my existential crisis aside, I began to think of the future. Having this restaurant means I can potentially travel to other worlds and interact with characters I've only seen through a screen. It gives me goosebumps just thinking about it.

Though, I still had my concerns. "Meta, what's to stop the people coming in to this restaurant from killing me? I'm just an ordinary human after all."

[In the restaurant, the host cannot be damaged, however there are restrictions in place to stop such a thing from occurring. One, killing is forbidden. Two, causing harm is not allowed (unless permitted by the host). And lastly, guests cannot damage the properties of the restaurant. Should the guest break any of the rules, the Host is allowed to ban them from the restaurant. ]

I sigh in relief. Having my head crushed by Yujiro Hanma is not in my bucket list. But I wonder, is there a way to strengthen myself now that I have the system?

"Meta, is there a way I can make myself stronger? Like a level system?" I asked.

[Negative, the Host does not have a "level system". Though there is something similar. For every certain amount of food you serve to guest, you will be rewarded. You currently have one reward for gaining the restaurant, do you wish to open it?]

I got a reward? I must've been too shocked to notice. "Open it."

Knowledge of ingredients, recipes, and how to cook certain dishes filled my head as I winced from the sudden influx of information.

[Skills are separated into six tiers. Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Master, Grandmaster, and Divine. You can further improve your skill and advance it to the next tier by constant repetition.]

That's nice, that means I wouldn't be stuck with Advanced forever. I still have some questions. "How do I get ingredients?" I asked.

[The host will receive ingredients from the system and it will be restocked everyday. If Host wants to, you can buy special ingredients from the shop.]

Nice, that's another problem solved.

Now that I don't have anymore concerns, let's this restaurant running.
