8 I am willing to pay any price!

"Who are you?"

Those are the words that Qing Yue asked me.

'Now, what do I tell her?'

A playful smirk appeared on my face as a certain thought cropped up in my mind.

"Do you want to know my identity, are you that desperate to find out?"

She looked at me with her eyes narrowed as if contemplating what her next choice of words would be.

"There is no way someone of your caliber and huge strength would be just a nobody. You have a unique bearing that's in a league of its own. Even I, feel inferior to you."

I observed the way her luscious lips moved in synchronization with her words, and I could not help but lick my lips.

She looked divine and such an untainted soul needed to be corrupted by only me.

But I wouldn't obsess over such trivial things.

No hypocrisy was needed to arrive at that decision.

Also, I wouldn't be the one taking the initiation. I will ensure to make her want me more.

I will continue being mysterious to keep her on the edge. I was honestly surprised by my change. Guess the power I now had boosted both my confidence to the extreme and also changed my mentality.

I cleared my throat and turned my whole attention to her.

"I am many things. What would you specifically want to know?"

"Where do you come from?"

"I come from a very far away place beyond your imagination," I replied mysteriously as I walked toward her with my hands behind my back. I then looked toward the sky like a supreme expert. You could have thought I knew the immensity of heaven and earth.

"That doesn't answer my question," Her icy tone seemed humbled.

"I come from a place where gods are just ants," I lied to ensnare her even more. Something with 'god' in it would surely capture her curiosity even more.

"Gods!" She exclaimed in shock her eyes wide in surprise but she still maintained her bearing.

" Do gods exist?" She questioned me.

I could not blame her. Qing Yue was raised in a remote place like Floating Cloud city and the only major connection she now has is with the Frozen Cloud Asgard and her master Chu Yue Li who is probably at Peak Sky Profound Realm according to what I read about her in the starting of the novel.

"Do you know how many realms are there in the profound way?" I asked while looking straight at her crystal eyes.

"Yeah. My master told me about them. There are nine mortal realms but she didn't mention anything about gods," She replied slowly and then continued, " My master told me the highest realm is Sovereign Profound realm which is also very difficult to reach."

"Good but you're wrong about something here." I was finally beside her.

"What is it?" Xia Qing Yue asked.

"Cultivation has no end. So basically, there are realms above the nine mortal realms."

"This is where the term 'gods' comes in. And the..."

"And the God realm is the realm above the mortal realms." She interjected quickly.

"You're quick to catch on things," I smiled, "So that is to say you're still a frog in the well."

Her face was filled with bewilderment as the information quickly sank into her head.

At that moment, I decided to strike while the iron is still hot by adding another piece of information.

"I come from there. The realm of the Gods."

My words left her shaken but later on, I saw resolution reflect on her beautiful eyes, and a no-nonsense expression appeared on her face when she looked at me.

"I don't know your level of cultivation realm but please help me in gaining strength."

"And why should I. I don't know you," I replied smugly. Honestly, we just met! Did she expect me to help her without at least a form of equal exchange?

"I will do anything you want," A pleading look appeared on her beautiful face, "Please!"

That look. It made me surprised. A prideful cold beauty like her could also show a face like that. She is truly obsessed with looking for her mother.

"Why do you need the strength that much?" I decided to ask even though I already knew her answer. I just needed confirmation.

"To find my mother so that my family could have a reunion," She replied in an affectionate voice.

" How is your current family?" I asked.

" I have a father and a younger brother..."

"Are they not enough for you?" I interrupted her.

She went into contemplative mode and reflected on my question. Then sudden realization dawned on her.

"They are."

"Have you ever bonded with them since your mother's departure? " I arched my brows in question.

" No..."Her eyes started getting misty as if she had done something bad.

That was the look I wanted. I wanted her to realize that her current family was as important as the strength she was blindly seeking.

"What can you give me Incase I help you?" I stroked my chin as I looked at her waiting for her answer, " What price will you pay?"

It seemed as if I was a devil asking for her soul in exchange for my assistance.

"I am willing to pay any price!" She didn't have any form of hesitation when she said those words

"Even your body?" I slowly egged her on.

"Yeah."

"How about your soul?"

"Even my soul," She replied resolutely.

"Heart. Can you give me your heart?" That was my final question. I wanted to know her answer.

"I..." She stuttered upon hearing my question and she had a difficult time responding to me.

"Don't fret over it," I waved my hand to brush off the question.

"If you had answered yes. I wouldn't have helped you," I continued which made her sigh in relief.

Yeah. If she had said yes I wouldn't have helped her. Wouldn't that mean she was cheap if I asked for her heart and she gives it to me?

At least this means to gain her love is worth it apart from the love she has for her family

I would have wanted her to love me unconditionally without forcing it. It must be by her own accord, not under my pressure.

"I will help you," I said while I moved closer to her our breaths fanning each other's faces.

I gently placed my right hand on her smooth chin which resembled a beautifully sculpted jade.

My action elicited a tremor of anticipation from her elegant body.

I looked at her downcast eyes. She shied away from my gaze. The atmosphere was hot. I decided to tease her a little bit.

"Why don't we go somewhere private to get to know each other well."

"You...but we have just met."

"Yeah and then...?"

"Things like that need preparation," she replied in a coy manner.

"Things like what?" I gently rubbed her chin which increased the redness on her snow-white cheeks.

"Those things...between couples."

I laughed at that juncture. Honestly, It was a refreshing feeling to tease such an icy beauty.

"You are misunderstanding something here. I wanted you to take me to a place where I could rest."

When those words left my mouth, an icy aura started emerging from her, and I quickly moved away from her.

The place I had been standing was covered in extreme icy energy enough to freeze a person.

Her bashfulness was now replaced by a slight cold expression laced with embarrassment.

"Humph! follow me," She turned around and started walking in the direction I presume was the Xia Clan Manor. I already knew it. I had mapped out the whole city.

Haha, I chuckled

"I am sorry," I said in a not so sorry voice while I followed her which earned me another 'humph'

'Let's see where these will lead me,' I smirked inwardly while shamelessly looking at the curvaceous back and swaying buttocks of the beauty in front of me.
