8 Silver hair

A ghostly scream echoed from a distance and that brawny black shadow saw a man and a woman huddled together as they fell into the cold spring. When he saw this, he grabbed his hair in exasperation and jumped up in fright. He was so terrified that he felt as if his soul had scattered away.

Master was in the midst of his tribulation!

Where did this person come from?

No, he must be seeing things. It was a mortal!

The anger of the black shadow rushed towards the sky and in a flash, he appeared at the edge of the cold spring. In an instant, he reached out for Mu Tianyin’s neck and grabbed it and mustered all his strength into a death grip, he only had one thought and that was to tear her into pieces!

This damned person!

“Stop.” The man’s gentle voice rang out but there was the subtle tones of arrogance mixed in.

“Master?”

The black shadow froze in place, completely baffled.

After a while, the man whose back was facing the black shadow stood up slowly, revealing his exquisite body that was partly covered in the mist.

The silver hair in the water gently swayed with the ripples and after letting out a light cough, he took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. When he lowered his gaze, that pair of deep bluish green eyes that resembled the stars in the night stopped momentarily on the young lady by his side and said, “Throw her out.”

“Ah?”

This time, the black shadow was completely stupefied.

Of course he had heard it clearly, but…He was too shocked! Too shocked! This incident… was over just like that?

“Yes!”

The black shadow did not dare to question further and did not dare to tarry either as he quickly scooped Mu Tianyin out of the spring.

He really couldn’t figure out…how could a mortal stumble upon this place? Moreover, this person was riddled with such serious injuries, yet she was still alive. Where did such a peculiar person come from?

“Peculiar.” The black shadow was carrying out his orders while he continued to mumble to himself.

The area surrounding the cold spring was barren, the sand was black and bluish grey rocks were scattered around sparsely along with some dead trees. The entire place was eerily silent but there were occasional blood curdling shrill screams that resounded.

The atmosphere was was much more horrifying than the jungle before.

It was close to dusk and danger was lurking at every corner.

“Grandpa, when will this sister wake up?”

“Very soon.”

“Oh.”

It seemed like there was someone talking beside her as Mu Tianyin tried to pry open her eyes. She felt a whirl in her mind as she tried to sort her thoughts out and she struggled hard to lift her heavy eyelids. Her eyes flared opened suddenly in shock.

“Huuu—”

She had managed to change her fortune, she had managed to pick her life back after being so close to death’s door. She felt light and her movements were fluid.
