5 Lone figure, killing intent

What grabbed Mu Tianyin was a huge black bird that was like a towering mountain, with claws like iron hooks as they pierced her shoulder blades as it soared into the sky, riding on an air current and went further into the depths of the forest.

“Roar!”

Roaring Tiger Mountain Forest!

This was deep into the wilderness that was fraught with danger.

“Arh!”

In the deep valley of this desolate forest region, there was a loud screech that echoed all around.

Mu Tianyin was in a daze, although the sharp pain from the shoulder blade cleared her consciousness for the moment, her current situation wasn’t too good. Her injury was worsening, she could feel her vitality dwindling away and her physical strength was dropping drastically. She had never felt so close to death before, it was as if she was just a breath away to her demise.

If she was brought into this strange bird’s nest, she would definitely die! No, she can’t afford to die here!

She still had to find a way to go back! Her mother and brother needed her!

“Arh-”

The giant bird let out a high pitched piercing screech once again.

Hanging over the sky, she struggled to open her eyes. Her eyelids felt extremely heavy but she tried to keep herself awake and mustered all her strength to take in all the surroundings as much as possible.

Just as the giant bird glided through the lush green forest at a low altitude, she trembled momentarily before she raised her arm as she struck out decisively! A sharp blade slashed onto the claws of the strange bird, carving out a series of lines that bled.

“Arh—-!”

The strange bird screamed and loosened its claws by reflex.

Despite her injured shoulder blades, Mu Tianyin had no choice but to grit her teeth tightly and endured the excruciating pain as she had to open her arms wide and tried to make a gliding posture as she fell from the sky. There was a burst of muffled sound as she fell successively down onto huge leaves that looked to be giant banana leaves. These layers of giant leaves played well as a good buffer to break her fall.

At the last moment, she protectively tugged her head in and wrapped her hands around it.

After a series of tumbles, she fell onto a patch of withered shrubs.

Her luck wasn’t entirely bad, the vegetation in the area she fell in was very dense and there was no fatal injury from the fall, however, it did leave her stunned.

In the face of such heavy injuries, yet Mu Tianyin had managed to save herself with her quick thinking and actions. If she had made any mistakes, she would have lost her life.

“Arh–!”

The strange bird hovered around at a high altitude and this in turn stirred up a huge air current that like a whirlwind as the trees swayed and a rising current of leaves rose into the air. It kept hovering as it glanced below, trying to pry beneath the dense foliage with it’s piercing glare , however, the vegetation was too dense and blocked it. For a long time, no trace of Mu Tianyin could be found…

After letting out an angry scream, it finally took off.

After about the quarter of an hour, the bushes shook a few times and Mu Tianyin felt her surroundings blur as she felt herself to be in a daze. Even simple breathing was becoming more and more difficult for her.

The sky, the trees… everything seemed to be spinning.

“Cough!”

Mu Tianyin struggled hard as she climbed out of the withered shrubs. Her surroundings were still not completely clear and as she continued to struggle on, all that happened in this short span of time was shown.

Her originally beautiful face now had deep red gashes across her cheek and her green military uniform was drenched in her very own blood.

“Cough!”

No, she had to take the bullets out immediately.

She took in a deep breath and leaned against the nearest trunk. Rubbing her hands together, she took out a blade from the inside of her military boots.

She had exhausted all her strength and what was moving her now was only her amazing will to live. Any moment now, she could collapse but with this fire in her heart, this was what kept her going all this time.

She did not want to die and did not dare to either!

“Damn!” She slowly opened her jacket and took a quick look at her injury. It was much more serious than she had initially thought and she quickly pressed a few vital acupoints to try to stop her bleeding as much as possible. She grabbed a bunch of weeds and placed it into her mouth as she bit hard.
