She took a deep breath and slowly pointed the sharp blade to the black hole in her chest that the bullet was embedded it.

The blood around it had already turned black and after carefully deciding on the angle, she cautiously made a cut.

Blood gushed out!

Her other hand whose fingers were already freezing and they were bluish in hue. Trying to restrain her trembles, she reached into her chest to find the cold bullet.

“Mmfh!”

Pain, this was what a real heart-rending pain felt like!

It was as if there was a handle that was pulled with the skin and blood attached to it and the heart felt like it was being twisted!

Mu Tianyin’s body trembled as she bit hard into the weeds that she had stuffed into her mouth. There was a strong taste of blood in her mouth now. After the cold bullet was dug out, she was completely soaked in blood and sweat!

But she did not dare to stop there as she let out a sigh before continuing on as she cut her flesh and in a similar fashion, she took out the bullets in both legs. She then tore her coat and used it as a simple dressing for her wounds.

“Cough… cough… cough!”

After she had completed everything, her whole person collapsed and she spat out the weeds in her mouth as she coughed violently and spat more blood out.

Staying in the same place was akin to waiting for death. Since this was the vast wilderness, she could only try to find some herbs with healing properties.

“Cough!”

The surrounding temperature was very low and Mu Tianyin felt extremely cold and started to cough violently.

Even if the bullets had been taken out, however her life was still hanging on the line. First of all, this was a totally strange and dangerous environment where everything was unknown to her. Her condition was rapidly deteriorating as she had already lost too much blood. It looks like she would not last for much longer…

If she had not experienced the most rigorous military training, she would have already died many times over!

After a short break and recuperating a little physical strength, Mu Tianyin swayed as she got up and trudged along the jungle while trying to withstand the excruciating pain that was bearing down on her. She slowly searched the path along and tried to explore while she looked for herbs to aid her.

“This…in the end…what kind of a ghost place is this??”

Mu Tianyin swallowed a mouthful of blood and saliva and even suspected that she might still be dreaming.

She did not know how far she had traversed, how much time had passed and she slowly became more and more worried.

This was not like any other ordinary virgin forest, there was not a sight of any healing herbs that she was familiar with. Even the vegetation that grew all around was strange and unfamiliar to her. The dark green wood, the colourful strange flowers, the white-skinned straw mushrooms and the thick gigantic vines that resembled a dragon and all those weird looking blue stones.

One hour, two hours, half a day passed and very soon, a day had almost passed by as evening approached.

In addition to the endless jungle, the mist, trees and stones, there was nothing. There wasn’t a trace of smoke that signalled another person was nearby. But she was also lucky because she did not have any encounters with those monsters she had seen earlier.

It was just that the strange sounds never once stopped. In the dark wilderness, above the tall trees, there were occasional flashes of shadows which made things creepier.

“Cough!”

Mu Tianyin coughed lightly but she felt that her chest and her internal organs had all been shaken vigorously and displaced.

Dressed in rags now, covered in blood, it was as if she had no more breath and she seemed like a wandering soul that was moving inch by inch, and staggering bit by bit in this wilderness. She moved only by relying on her last shred of willpower.

“No.”

Mu Tianyin shook her head numbly.

She couldn’t die here! She had to go back!

However, she was really unable to move any further now.

“Cough!”

As she breathed out, she suddenly felt her legs go soft and her whole person fell. What was even more terrifying was that she didn’t even know that she was walking so close to the edge of such a steep hillside!

Mu Tianyin rolled and tumbled down the steep hill.

“Ka-cha”

The branches that she had rolled over broke along the way and the crisp sound echoed loudly in this desolate wilderness as debris and small rocks tumbled along.

The sun and moon, the stars, light, and the universe, the vast and boundless lands of the ancient immortals!

The sky moved and the ground rotated, the wilderness spun around.

“Splash—”

After a crash, a splash was heard right after.

With a chill that pierced the bones, it felt like an ice pool that had been buried tens of thousands of feet deep under the abyss!

Despite being in the strange wilderness, at least there was still life and vitality all around. The place she had fallen into was even more desolate, with only rocks surrounding her and there was only a spring in the midst of it all.

There was a layer of mist looming above it and she could vaguely make out a faint figure of the back of a person!

The shoulders of the man were exposed and his toned muscles were chiseled to perfection.

His silver hair reached all the way down to his back and the tip of it was in the water, moving along with the ripples. His bare upper body was revealed and from the stature, it definitely belonged to a man.

Sitting cross-legged in the shallow cold spring, his backview gave her the feeling of being somewhat lonely, a solitary figure that stood above all!

Because of the sudden movements, his eyelashes trembled slightly.
