10 Chapter 10: Shokugeki and the Nonaka Sisters

Waking up early in morning, Tatsuya washed his face and brushed his teeth after that he went downstairs to cook breakfast

While he was doing that, Miyuki came down wearing her pajamas with a sleepy face rubbing her eyes but soon perked up when she smelled her brother's cooking and hurriedly went down and sat at the chair in the dining room waiting eagerly for Tatsuya to finish.

She didn't have to wait long as he was nearly done when she came down.

They both ate and chat happily with each other and after they finish they rested for a bit before putting on training outfit and went out, making sure the house is locked, and on with their training.

Miyuki is simply wearing gravity induced wristbands and leg bands to train her body while around Tatsuya's body is a layer of gravitational force that increases gravity 100 fold, though he kept telling Miyuki that it was only 10 folds so as to not worry and discourage her, with gravity induced wristbands and leg bands that each increased the gravity by 30 folds.

This has been a daily routine for them and most of the people inside and outside the neighborhood knows them and admires them for their determination, sometime ago some children decided to join them mostly to impress Miyuki but gave up after 3 days at most 5 days, they just can't exercise like the Shiba siblings when they knew that they circled around Kuoh for their training and they would be more shocked if they knew that both of them are restricting themselves by putting on gravity induced weights.

After circling around Kuoh, Miyuki retired and went home but Tatsuya, swing that it was still early, decided to run another lap around town.

By the time he finished, he was already full of sweat and took a shower to wash of the sticky feeling of sweat in his body.

After he was done, he dried himself and went to put on business like clothes and headed to his restaurant. Before he left he instructed Miyuki on what to do for her practice and gave her a wooden sword to practice some Aincrad Sword Styles suitable for her.

Arriving at his restaurant, he put on work clothes and created many clones, shadow clones to cook the dished and wood clones to serve and take orders.

He put henge on them and started up business.

Outside, while he was still putting on work clothes, many people saw him enter the restaurant with a key and tensed up. They gather close to the restaurant waiting to see if the sign will flip from 'closed' to 'open'.

Well, their hopes were answered when the sign really flipped and 2 burly men went out the restaurant and stood besides the doors guarding it.

Many people started entering the shop, some going to the second floor, while the rest were in the first floor. They got seated and ordered, breakfast being the most as many of them didn't eat breakfast just to have a taste of the restaurant's signature breakfast.

While all of this were happening, a certain red-headed boy was approaching the restaurant and when he entered, he looked like he was searching for someone.

The red-headed boy walked to the kitchen and shouted, "TATSUYA-SAN! TODAY FOR SURE I'LL BEAT YOU AND PROVE THAT I'M SUPERIOR IN COOKING!"

The costumers were surprised to hear the voice but soon it turn to excitement as they knew where this going.

"Oh! Soma, you're here? Where's your dad?" Tatsuya said while coming out of the kitchen wiping his hands with the apron on his waist.

That's right, the red-headed boy is none other than Yukihira Soma from Diner Yukihira.

"My old man's busy with something at the moment and I came alone, anyway," he pointed at him and said in a loud voice, "I CHALLENGE YOU TO A SHOKUGEKI!"

Tatsuya smiled and said, "Sure, but be prepared to lose again." in a mocking tone.

Yukihira's fighting spirit went up and headed towards the kitchen to prepare. Tatsuya made sure that all of his shadow clones were henged before Soma entered the kitchen.

He turned towards the customers and announced, "Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for being here and sorry for the disturbance. We will now begin the lucky draw to see who get to taste the finish product and judge our cooking. There will be a total of 5 people so I apologize to those who don't get chosen." he applied magic in his voice to also transmit his message to the second floor.

The second floor was in chaos as they started to write their name on the online lucky draw of the restaurant to get a chance to taste Tatsuya's personal cooking (though all of the food were cooked by him either way but they don't know that).

This lucky draw started when Soma came a second time to challenge him in a shokugeki as it was difficult choosing a judge because the customers will start fighting and in the second floor the most that was happening was bickering with each faction.

He created a server for the restaurant to create the lucky draw and to be fair for the customers, there is always one person on the second floor that will be chosen so it isn't exactly fair.

It also created the image that if you get chosen, you get to taste Tatsuya's personal cooking. This event started in the 5th month of establishment of the restaurant and it continued every week as Soma can't accept his loss just like in the anime, and he already has 76 losses.

The restaurant and himself has gained the attention of the gastronomy world and Nakiri Senzaemon himself.

After his announcement, he went back to the kitchen and saw Soma finishing his preparations, he also went to his station and his clone said, "Start!" and they went full chef mode, the only thing you can hear in the kitchen is the sound of chopping board, sound of metal clashing against metal, or the sound of the stove.

This whole ordeal is also heard by the customers outside and this got them excited, it would take a while before they choose a judge so they just listened and some watched them cook.

During this time, two girls with light-blue hair and blue violet hair both wearing unusual outfits entered the restaurant and noticed the silent atmosphere, they heard sound of cooking in the kitchen and got curious, the light-blue haired girl asked a customer, "Excuse me sir but, would you mind telling us what is going on here?" she said in her most polite tone.

The customer was startled but quickly explained, "Ah, this must be your first time here. The head chef and owner of this restaurant is having a shokugeki with a chef from a diner in the food district, oh if you want to have a chance to taste the owners cooking, better place your names on the lucky draw server, it may begin any minute now." the customer said enthusiastically.

The girls looked at each other and the blue violet haired girl said, "Hee, so onii-chan is having a good battle with another chef? That seems interesting."

The light-blue haired girl replied, "Let's register out names on this lucky draw server they are talking about, maybe we can meet him faster if we get chosen."

"Un." replied the blue violet haired girl.

They asked another customer about how to register their names and after following the instructions their names appeared on the lucky draw server.

They were the Nonaka Sisters.
