Basil looked around him, confused as to why he woke up in a classroom instead of his bedroom.
"Basil, the Crazy Axe is coming; get your books out quick!" yelled the boy sitting at the desk next to him.
'Alright, first things first, where am I?'
'I'm sure I went to sleep in my bed, so why am I in a classroom?'
Still muddleheaded, basil subconsciously asked,
"Crazy Axe, whos that?"
At that moment, the classroom door was slammed open. A giant man came in with bulging muscles and a scary expression on his face.
"So you have the guts to call me that, Basil?"
Basil looked at who was talking, and once he realized that the angry man was talking to him, he got nervous.
All of a sudden, basil felt like he lost consciousness for a second, and when he looked around him again, he noticed that he wasn't in the classroom anymore but in a completely white space.
'What is going on?!'
Now that basil had time to think, he realized what kind of situation he was in.
'Think think, woke up in an unfamiliar environment, with people you don't recognize, you heard a system, don't tell me that I've transmi-'
A floating panel with white letters interrupted his thoughts
[Welcome to the Alternate Reality System]
'I knew it!'
[Binding with host: 0...50%...100%]
[Binding complete]
Suddenly, basil felt an intangible feeling, like his soul had just been connected to something.
Basil looked up to find the white letters changed into a simple looking panel, which had a couple of options listed;

[Random Travel]
[Information]
[Store]
'I have transmigrated!' Basil thought excitedly.
Basil just stood there, with many thoughts going through his head, but he knew this wasn't the time to think, as he noticed there was a countdown at the bottom of the panel.

'What is this countdown for?'
'Anyway, let's check these options, although how do I access the menu?'
Basil thought of opening the first option in his head, and as he predicted, it opened.'

'Is it just me, or are my stats very low apart from intelligence?' Basil asked himself. He tried to focus his attention on the numbers, and a short description popped up.
[Numbers represent the average human body stats]
'I see, so that means I have the strength of 2 men'
'Damn, I'm so intelligent'
Whilst basil lost himself to his delusions of grandeur, the countdown continued ticking down.

'Focus, Basil!'
Basil lightly slapped himself in his face and noticed that the Random Travel was greyed out, so he couldn't access it.
'It must be on cooldown. Let's check out information then'
Without any warning, once basil thought of the information option, memories rushed into his brain.
'I see! so this is indeed an alternate reality!'
Basil thought this because humans in this reality were different. They were more technologically advanced than his previous life, but the thing that stood out more to him was that people had powers in this reality! That's right, and people could do stuff like fly, control fire particles using their mana, and become invisible...
People with such powers were ranked from F-rank to the legendary SSS rank.
'F-rank are people who have barely broken through the threshold of an average human, which is my current situation
Once he was done recalling all kinds of memories, basil noticed that the information option greyed out.
'Must be a one-time information feed per world.'
As soon as basil was done organizing the foreign information in his head, he heard a mechanical voice in his ear.
"System space time limit passed, returning to reality."
