48 Mysterious Deity

Duo Tian had leisurely entered the giant mountain summit, while Chu Yueli walks slower than him. Duo Tian's eyes formed a squint as he continued walking toward the crow statue.

Duo Tian stared wide-eyed at the god-knows-what creature in front of him. What if after waking it up, it turned out to be a low-level creature or some high-end boss figure that can instant kill him? He finally made up his mind and grab his Nightfall Abyssal Saber then stab the soft area of the statue, the tip of the saber goes inside the soft area and stabbed into some kind of meat.

Suddenly, the soft area on the crow statue tail dangled and wriggled about, followed by a shrill scream that came from inside the statue.

"Aaaargh! Fu***r! That hurt! Who would dare face this deity with such insolence!" A deep voice resounded from the statue.

The voice that came from within the statue gave Duo Tian such a fright that he almost jumped out of his skin. His eyes opened wide in incredulity. How could he have known that by stabbing the piece of meat inside the soft feather-like area, he would really awaken the creature inside? More importantly, did this thing just claim that it was a deity? What kind of joke was that? What pathetic deity would end up locked inside a statue?

Duo Tian raised his eyebrows and sneered.

"I'm just a passing-through Handsome Traveler. Remember that!" Then he continued, "And who are you exactly?"

The creature inside the crow statue went silent for few moments before the sharp voice appeared again, "Hmph!" exclaimed the voice, "Who is this little s*** who dares to pretend to be a Handsome Traveler in front of a deity? How audacious of you! This deity is the most handsome creature in the heavens and earth, wait! What is that in your hand? Don't hide it, you scoundrel, I saw it! It's a saber, isn't it? You're the one who stabbed my butt!"

"Wait," said Duo Tian, surprised. "You can see me?" He stealthily put the Nightfall Abyssal Saber away in the storage space inside the system. His face was full of horrified wonder. The thing was clearly locked up inside the crow statue, so how had it managed to see him and what he was doing?

This kind of ability wasn't to be underestimated. It must at least be a divine soul at the Virtuous Paragon Realm to be that perceptive! Because even Duo Tian must depend on the system to probe what was going on inside the crow statue.

What? It had taken him one thousand years to get out of the stone wall's seal? Well, that proved at least that this creature wasn't a mortal being.

Duo Tian couldn't suppress his laughter any longer as he shook his head, "Two thousand years? By then I would have long risen to the heavens and attained the status of a deity himself. How would you find me to exact revenge then?"

CAAAWWW!

A loud and fearsome screeching sound rang out of the statue in reply to Duo Tian's taunts. However, while the screech did indeed rumble the entire mountain range, it basically produced no other effect on Duo Tian.

Duo Tian continued to examine the tail area and calmly and discovered that if his saber goes inside the feather-like soft area, then the tip of the saber was connected to the statue butt, just as the voice inside the statue had claimed!

"You little rascal!" spat the voice. "You've really angered me now! You'll regret it when I get out of here in thousand years, because I will devour you with just one breath! Don't you know that I had killed thousands of gods before getting trapped inside this damn statue?"

Duo Tian, completely uninterested about this creature boast, "If you really were that good, how did you end up inside the wall, then?"

"That is the only mistake I made." The deity said, then he snorted, "I was tricked by that damn shameless woman and took a wrong step, causing her to suppress me with the Immortal Suppression Arts and makes me fall into this damned trap!"

"Wait, did you just said Immortal Suppression Arts?" Duo Tian exclaimed.

"That's right," Replied the deity with a tone of anger "That shameless woman is too damn strong and cunning. Her Immortal Suppression Arts can even suppress this deity noble bloodline."

Alright, tell me who is this shameless woman then" said Duo Tian, unsure if he could trust this strange deity words.

"That shameless woman," said the deity, "She called herself Empress Hong Tian!"

Duo Tian's face darkened immediately upon hearing the deity's reply. He was now seething with anger, even if he hasn't met his Matriarch Ancestor, nobody can't speak ill about her.

What kind of pathetic joke was this?

"Do you think that's funny, you damn deity? Empress Hong Tian is my Matriarch Ancestor, don't you dare speak ill about her! Take this!" Duo Tian then pulled out the Nightfall Abyssal Saber and struck it violently at the butt of the crow statue.

"What!? That shameless woman is your Matriarch Ancestor!? Hey, what are you trying to do?!" The deity was surprised by this sudden exclamation, "Don't you dare! This is outrageous! Don't you dare take a step closer to me… I'm going to devour you into oblivion when I get out! Now, now, young Handsome Traveler, we can talk this through, don't be so rash… Ow! Ah…! Aaaaaargh! That hurts!"

Meanwhile Chu Yueli was amused as she giggles when watching a man and a statue shouted to each other.
