40 A Clash with The Strongest Swordsman

The Four Emperors are the four most notorious and powerful pirate captains in the world. They are not typically allies, nor are they strictly enemies of one another. Rather, the four prefer to remain autonomous under most circumstances, and this large man is one of them, known as Whitebeard. In his prime, Whitebeard was an equal to Gol D. Roger, the legendary Pirate King, and following Roger's death, was widely recognized as the strongest man in the world.

"Marco, which side do you think those couples are?" Whitebeard asks, his voice was deep.

The pineapple-man, Marco ponders for a bit, "No clue at all, Pops. Those two just popped out of nowhere, Ace little brother is the one who initiated his haoshoku haki against them."

Whitebeard has some sort of premonition that those two will be the key to gain the upper hand in this war against the marines, "That straw hat kid, he better don't mess this up. Marco, keep that straw hat kid in check. I don't want Ace to be sad if that kid died."

Meanwhile, Duo Tian and the young man with a straw hat still clashing their aura non-stop. Neither one of them wants to submit to each other. Little did they know that a man in an elegant hat with a huge cross-shaped black blade comes after them, his eyes were as sharp as a hawk.

"It's the Hawk Eyes! That straw hat kid will be in a problem." One of the pirates shouted out.

Seeing this newcomer, Duo Tian and the young man with straw hat cease their aura as both of them focusing their attention on this so-called Hawk Eyes.

"Straw Hat Luffy, your advancement ends here." Hawk Eyes said, his hand firmly grip his huge black blade.

"Hawk Eyes!?" Luffy was surprised to see him.

Duo Tian and Chu Yueli choose to remain silent as both of them pay their attention to this conversation.

Hawk Eyes change his posture into a blade stance, his eyes were as sharp as a hawk, "Now then, let the fate decides next generation golden child, whether he will be finished here, or escape my black sword?"

"There is no time for me to go against you, I'm here to save Ace!" Luffy starts to dash from the place where he stands, from Duo Tian's point of view he was actually running from this Hawk-Eye guy.

Hawk Eyes starts to focusing his gaze as he sees a blurred image of Luffy runs in someplace far from him. Then he starts to move his huge blade and makes a slash motion. The slash creates a gust of wind that was very sharp and fast, Luffy who was far away from him couldn't even dodge that strike.

"You are still within my range of attack." Hawk Eyes said as he closes his eyes, then he started to jump and try to stab Luffy from above.

Suddenly, Chu Yueli moves her snowy hand as she creates some sharp icicle and throws it to Hawk Eyes, makes him canceled his attack as he used his black blade to block the icycles. Then he started to focusing his gaze on the couple.

"Little Li, what are you doing?" Duo Tian was quite surprised by her action.

Chu Yueli coldly answered, "I somehow feel a pity for that young man, didn't he said that he wants to save his brother? I can't stand when I see a siblings in trouble."

Seeing her resolute looks, Duo Tian sighed, "You want to help that straw hat guy?" He asks Chu Yueli.

"..." She nodded, "Well, As your man, I can only support all your decision." Duo Tian smirked as he draws his saber out, preparing to join the mess.

"Who are you?" Hawk Eyes asks, his eyes were still closing.

There is only one answer for that kind of question, "I'm just a passing-through Handsome Traveler. Remember that!" Then Duo Tian dashed out with his 1000 steps toward Hawk Eyes.

Hawk Eyes change his posture into a defensive one as he starts to slice the air, making ripple of air with every moves from his sword. The ripple was as sharp as a shark teeth, cutting through the air.

Duo Tian struck his saber out as he makes a double slash, a pair of black birds trail can be seen from the slash "Black Bird Talon Strike". The pair of black birds cut through the ripple of air, seeing that Hawk Eyes feel surprised as this unknown young man can nullify his own attack, even though its from the defensive stance.

"You are quite skilled with slashing your saber." Hawk Eyes commented.

"And you are so-so!" Duo Tian instantly use his ultimate saber move "Corvus Eclipse Slash" as a bunch of crows appeared in Hawk Eyes vision, he uses his eyes to observe the flaw in this bunch of crows "Kenbunshoku Haki" as he finally uses his sword technique, "Black Blade: Wild Slash". Then he swings his blade rapidly, sending green energy beams followed by a wide horizontal swing, which sends forth a large horizontal black wave of energy.

Seeing a black wave of energy charging at him, Duo Tian keeps his calm as he grabs his saber with his left hand and unleashes a series of thirteen fists with his right hand, "Thirteen Dragon Apocalypse Fist". The shockwave from the fist crashed against the black wave energy as they eliminating each other.

Duo Tian then continued dashing through the huge crows as he appears in front of Hawk Eyes, slashed out his Corvus Eclipse as a huge moon shadow split into two behind him. Hawk Eyes tries to defend this slash but he knocked off several meters back.

All of the people, whether they are marines or pirates jaws dropped to the ground, they shouted in unison voice, " EHHHHHHH!!?"

"Looks, Hawk Eyes knocked back by that mysterious young man!"

"Holy s***! If I'm not seeing this with my eyes, I would not believe that someone can push Hawk Eyes back when exchanging swords attack."

On the whale-like ship, even Marco was surprised by this, "Whoah, who is this man exactly? Being able to push the strongest swordsman back several steps when they clashing using a sword, did you see that Pops?"

Whitebeard nodded, "Marco, pass the order to the boys that they cannot offend that couple in any way, if they need something, just assist them. Somehow I had a premonition that they will be our key in rescuing Ace." He ordered.

Meanwhile, Luffy looked back at Hawk Eyes fight with that mysterious man. He didn't think that Duo Tian can clash with Hawk Eyes evenly. He uses this chance to get past them as he moves closer to Ace's place.

Hawk Eyes then steadying his stance, as he looks towards Luffy direction, "Looks like fate has give their answer to me. That golden child sure is lucky." Then he looks at Duo Tian straight on the eye, "My name is Dracule Mihawk, people calls me Hawk Eyes. May I know your name?"

"Duo Tian, it's a pleasure to meet you." Duo Tian cupped his fist, he knows that this Hawk Eyes are a man of honor as he didn't try to hide what his thought.

"May we continue our fight?" Hawk Eyes once again change into an offensive stance, he looks more serious now. His black blade emitted a purple aura, "Busoshoku Haki".

Duo Tian start to sneer as he summons a bunch of Raven Warriors and Crow Familiars to obstruct Hawk Eyes. Then he grabbed Chu Yueli on her waist as he summon Alphamon and flies to the sky, leaving Hawk Eyes surrounded by his summoned creatures.

"I have no time to deal with you!" Duo Tian laughed madly.
