90 TTW Chapter 90: Training Mikasa

"Doctor Grisha."

Upon hearing the voice, Mikasa's mother came out of the kitchen.

Seeing her expression, Dr. Grisha understood. He had a good relationship with the Ackerman family, and he was deeply saddened by his friend's sudden death.

"These beasts!"

After hearing Mikasa's mother's account, Dr. Grisha angrily slammed his fist against the wall, and Eren stood behind him, looking serious.

However, Lin Yi was uncertain whether Dr. Grisha had obtained the power of the Founding Titan yet and whether he should take action.

In gratitude for saving their lives, Mikasa's mother prepared a sumptuous meal, and Dr. Grisha's family was invited to stay. During the meal, Dr. Grisha encouraged his son, Eren, to spend more time with Mikasa.

This was his way of taking care of the Ackerman family.

"Ackerman was my good friend, so I offer you a toast," Dr. Grisha said, raising his glass of strong liquor to Lin Yi.

However, Lin Yi kept his head down, seemingly lost in thought, and didn't respond until Mikasa's mother asked him about it.

"No need to be so formal," Lin Yi finally replied with a smile.

They clinked glasses and finished their meal.

After dinner, Lin Yi left the Ackerman's house and left a position at his trading company in the Shiganshina District for Mikasa's mother.

"There's no rush; sooner or later, everything will be mine."

Lin Yi remembered that after the Colossal Titan and Armored Titan breached Shiganshina and Maria, Dr. Grisha would inject Eren with spinal fluid and sacrifice himself, allowing Eren to gain the powers of the Attack and Founding Titans.

Five days later, a group of kidnappers committed a murder case in Shiganshina, which did not cause much of a stir in the area as various dark incidents frequently occurred there.

People seemed to have returned to their initial lives.

However, Lin Yi gained fame this time as he not only helped apprehend the kidnappers but also became the main sponsor for the Survey Corps' expedition.

Mikasa thanked them and then saw Lin Yi standing at the entrance of the trading company. She ran up to him and handed him a parcel, saying nothing, like a little follower.

Lin Yi accepted the parcel, knowing it was Mikasa's mother's embroidery.

Since the incident, Mikasa's family had relied on selling embroidery for their main source of income.

Lin Yi's reward had been quite generous, much higher than the market price.

"Do you really want to learn from me?"

Lin Yi patted Mikasa's head and took her into the trading company before asking, "I've noticed you seem to enjoy life at the trading company. How about you learn to help me manage it?"

"I want to learn. I don't want... I don't want to feel helpless like before. I feel like I can't do anything," Mikasa suddenly spoke up, her determination evident.

"Alright, just don't complain about the hardships then."

"But I won't teach you any martial arts for self-defense. All I know are lethal techniques," Lin Yi said straightforwardly.

The inside of the trading company resembled a martial arts hall, with all sorts of weapons hanging on the racks - knives, hammers, swords, axes, and more.

Mikasa was indeed a born warrior, exceptionally talented, perhaps the most talented fighter Lin Yi had encountered in both worlds.

Whatever move Lin Yi taught her, she quickly grasped the key points, and because of her young age, she was highly moldable.

After being taught by Lin Yi, Mikasa would likely be much stronger than she was in the original story.

However, martial arts training was not an easy task. Lin Yi had 'external help,' so mastering the techniques during his travels wasn't too difficult. Later, he improved through countless real battles and constant refinement.

But in just one afternoon, Mikasa had already fallen to the ground three times from exhaustion.

Yet, every time, she managed to get back up.
