7 Wait a minute, who are you?

After a short while of walking I came to a room, a room that is seemingly not to impressive, aside from that mirror.

I went to the mirror, since there were no enemies for the entire walk here I was a bit miffed.

Looking into the mirror, I saw my reflection, but it was strange, like someone inverted my colors, and that's when I immediately backed away and got into my fighting stance.

Sure enough that was justified when the reflection leaped out of the mirror and came at me, the battle was a little tough since I had no badges that strengthened me, nor have I gotten the chance to get the blacksmithing charm.

It attacked ferociously like a wild beast just swinging its nail left and right, to be fair my nail skills are only slightly above that.

I parried a strike headed for my right and staggered the doppelganger, with a swift stab my nail went through the chest of the doppel, it let out a startled gasp before slumping onto my right shoulder.

I shrugged it off onto the floor, and went back to the mirror, inspecting it showed that it was a cursed mirror that made a doppelganger to attack anyone to look into it, but after the doppel was defeated it turned into a normal mirror, and the exit to the room opened.

I decided to do something, something I think is quite important, I don't know how it was that I wasn't panicking about this before.

What do I look like under the mask?

And with this question in my head, I looked into the mirror and took off the mask.

What stared back at me made me think about how anime I was looking.

My face was like an angular chitin covered in places high elf, or something like that.

To be quite honest I look kind of nice.

I decided to go say hi to Hornet without my mask on, that went, pretty poorly.

as soon as I stepped out of the room Hornet immediately shoved her nail-spear-thing towards my face, I deflected it with my nail and then backed off.

"WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH EMBER?!" Hornet sounded particularly angry.

"Hornet its me Ember, I don't have my mask on right now!" I replied hastily as to not get gibed by Hornet.

"You say you are Ember huh tell me something only Ember would know?" she asked.

"well how am I suppose to do that, tell you something you haven't heard about me yet?" I asked back.

"no, no, its fine now, that line was all I needed to hear, some fake would have tried telling me some big secret and your here questioning how it would make sense." she said

I grumbled a little before going to put on my mask again, Hornet stopped me.

"wait, there is something I want to give you." she said

I waited and she told me to close my eyes, and so I did, what I felt next was almost indescribable.

A pair of soft lips pressed against mine, they felt smooth.

Then they left and I wanted them back, I opened my eyes and saw that Hornet left.

putting my mask back on, I went down the path to see a glowing pad, that I could only think was a teleporter of some kind, stepping on it I saw I was back to the central chamber that I arrived in after Dirtmouth.

There was a few changes around here, like this bench right next to me that I immediately sat on, then there was the fact that the tunnel I went in has the dark sign above it now.

the one next to it glows eerily now.
