61 Chapter 61: The Stranger

~Third POV~

"Ahh!"

"Quick runaway it's the Horseman!"

"No runaway"

"RAGH!!!!"

The Horsemen of the Apocalypse, also known as the Four Horsemen of John, are monsters in Seraph of the End created by the Brotherhood of a Thousand Nights more specifically, the 6th Trumpet of Seraph of the End ability.

Horsemen are large non-sentient creatures with many wings and legs, although they are not able to fly. They attack to kill any human they notice and take no interest in vampires or animals.

This excludes the special horsemen that were summoned by Abaddon to kill the army of vampires and humans. The Japanese Imperial Demon Army uses a barrier around their city walls to drastically weaken the horsemen when they come within a kilometer of the barrier.

The Hyakuya Sect also referred to as the Brotherhood of a Thousand Nights was a religious organization in Seraph of the End said to have been the largest of all the magical syndicates in Japan.

For many years, the Thousand Nights fought with the Order of the Imperial Demons to control the reins of power in the country. However, after World War II, they gained the support of the United States and ever since then, were the dominant syndicate in Japan.

The Thousand Nights had deep ties to Japan's political underbelly. Their power was far-reaching as nearly every major politician relied on their support to stay in power.

Few members of the general population knew of them, but they ruled the country from the shadows. They would stop at nothing to gain power and influence, which include murder, kidnapping, starting wars, and experimenting on humans to get it.

The Thousand Nights were infamous for running orphanages as a way to collect children with special gifts for cruel experimentation.

When they found a suitable test subject, they would kill the parents and bring the child to one of their orphanages for grueling experiments. In particular, they were interested in the 'Seraph of the End.'

Other experiments include giving their soldiers the ability to shoot and manipulate chains from their bodies and creating the Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

As one of the people in Sannomiya was trying to run away from the Horseman they weren't able to outrun it as that person looked behind to see the monster coming in to impale her as she saw as it was coming close…

*SWOOSH*

*BAM*

However, to the rescue came a person wearing a red and gold pattern armor as he managed to slam his fist deep inside the head of the Horseman as the person saw that the monster was dead from one punch.

*Rumble*

More of the Horseman then came after hearing the end of one of their own as the person in the iron armor spoke to her in a robotic voice, "Citizen I would recommend running away. This here might get ugly quick."

Nodding in understanding she quickly runaway as the other habitants of Sannominya saw the stranger save one of their own as he cracks his metal knuckles as he spoke out, "So these things are the Horseman of John huh? I guess those crazy fucks in the Hyakuya Sect are that depraved no need to hold back."

The people saw something strange before them as the Horseman began moving forward to attack the armored person as the said person began to spark up with electricity running across his armor as he points his repulsor blasters at them

*PEW*

As the electricity he was producing was being absorbed into his Arc Reactor Core it supercharged the blasters in the hands as they began to fire off a condensed beam of energy directing it towards the Horseman as they were simply blasted away from the power of the beam.

Steam of smoke was coming off from his hands as he saw the remaining ones were blown up from the blast as he shrugs at the results, "Guess these guys weren't as tough as I thought if my repulsor blasters were enough to damage them then a supercharged one would do the job nicely."

Turning around the armored man looked at the people to see that they were grateful for his assistance the but expression of fear and nervousness was present in the majority of them present.

Under the mask was Jason controlling his Model Prime Armor as he saw the scene as he thought to himself, 'But still… even if you help others there will always be that tinge of fear in them from seeing power.'

As the situation stands Jason turned off his armor as the people looked surprised as he soon responded to them in a friendly manner, "Sorry about the show their folks considering everything is pretty much shit. Anyway, the name is Jason Borne it's a pleasure to meet you and would you allow me to repair your city?"

The other people were skeptical at the scene, but Jason then ensures to place his trust in them as he begins entering inside their building as he began to repair their electric generator as well as modifying it by jump-starting it with <Electric Force> quirk while no one was noticing.

*Buzz*

*Vroom*

With the extra boost of electricity, the generator began to produce electricity again getting the people's attention. In that day and age, the use of electricity is scarce, and more so the people capable of generating and fixing machines since the virus kill offed most adults and the ones that are alive are being housed by the Shibuya town controlled by the Noble Families.

By doing this course of action it will make the impression for the people of needing his presence to repair their homes as well as fight off monsters for them.

It was a win and win situation for them.

~Jason POV~

Well, that worked like a charmed showing off my skills of using my talents of the <Ultimate Inventor> and <Ultimate Mechanic> to remodel the generator into something that will last a while longer.

Just like that, I got the people's trust inside the Sannominya but honestly, it was the likely bet for me to play considering my situation. Hiding my powers for a while longer would be good to keep my card hidden till it deems necessary to use them.

As I was working on modifying the electric generator in this place, I saw a few people watching me as I work on it as they tried to get some information from me. I will do the same if someone just randomly saves the day then offer free services to repair their home's natural uses.

While I was working on the generator one of the few teens in the area began to speak to me in awkward, "Uh… thank you mister for saving me… you don't look Japanese are there more people like you?"

Ah, so it's that question I'm asked the question if there are more people like me helping people and are capable of providing support and it's the person I saved as well. Although I should clear up the question now with some honesty in the process.

Speaking while I was working on the generator as well as modifying with the tools on hand I responded in a friendly manner, "No I'm afraid I'm a one of kind as I don't know what happened to this place. Especially the deadly virus that attacked me from out of nowhere, but I managed to get by."

With that, they began talking about where I was from or how did I have such weapons as well what was my affiliations with the JIDA although they asked with resentment in their voice when asking that question.

A good guess would be is that they wanted to be inside with the protection of the JIDA but because of their rules keeping a certain number of people inside, I can guess that they didn't have enough space as they were left to fend for themselves.

Although the next one did surprise me as they responded to me as I was a bit shocked by their question, "Ok sir, but are you a vampire you do have their red eyes, or is it a medical condition?"

Vampires are human-like creatures with fangs, pointed ears, and red empty eyes; however, vampires have methods of changing their appearances…

That was when I asked Alter Ego a question that made me question myself conflicted, 'Alter Ego is my eyes that empty-looking?'

Alter Ego then responded inside my head with a happy tone as I was soon depressed with her response, 'Sir your red eyes are always empty looking but that just your natural cham.'

Ugh…

I need to have more life in my eyes if people are going to assume that I'm a bloody vampire but for now though I should focus on working the generator.

While I'm at it I began to ask them a few questions of my own more like the simple ones that how often the Horseman attack does, how often the soldiers of the JIDA come by and have there been any sightings of vampires in the area. The usual kind of questions since using the Vampire network is a bad idea until a more ideal way to obtain information arrives.

The answers would be the attacks happen at times from the Horseman, the soldiers do come here at times to provide them some food or medicine in return for the people information but that's about it, and vampires hardly come here since they have their food supplies secured but rarely, they come over which doesn't happen.

I guess the information I obtain is good for now though I should probably make a base for this place soon.

With that, I was done modifying the generator as I was being led around the place of the building as the people are providing me a place to stay for the night or the chance I stay here for a while.

As I was now inside a room, they provided I see that it looks dirty but at least there is power here now but now on to the next step.

Using my quirk <Overhaul> I managed to rearrange the room into its proper place as all the molecules rearranged themselves as I see it was a normal room provided with a kitchen and bathroom.

Laying down on the bed I began to talk to myself as I try to wrap around my head as I brought out the bracelet reading the info blueprints of projects I got from the other worlds, "Ok… here we go this project on the water purifier in the MHA world and the Danganronpa world from Towa City. This would certainly help out with cleansing the ocean of the toxic and acids inside hopefully while getting some clean water in the process."

Reviewing all of the projects I got from the technology from those worlds these would take a while to provide the right materials and tools needed to recreate all the items needed. But I also need some manpower as well…

Those issues are no problems as well and going through the information more on the MHA technology with the I-Island robots to restrain people and barriers…

Sigh…

I have a lot of work to do if I want to implement all of these machines into reality fortunately, I have the means to recreate those materials at an infinite level. With the quirks of <Double> and <Creation> quirk from the clones, I can recreate the means to do it and with <Overhaul> quirks to make all of them into place.

With my mind, and Alter Ego assistance it would be a snitch to recreate all of these technologies at a national level at best but that requires time recreating all the facilities of economics, farming, medicine, and household means, needed for an unknown amount of time to prepare.

And there is the case of unknown variables that might pop out of the woodworks that the Horseman or vampires might interfere with as I can't know everything ahead of time.

This is the first time I have been placed like this since the Danganronpa world building up from the start and searching around to find a way to survive but this time for the sake of others this time around.

Will I have to be obligated to help everyone out or is it just because it's my feelings that's it the right thing to do?

Unlike the other worlds I visited in my travels this is my actual first experience in a dystopian one like this before and the main villains or antagonist this time around is everyone this time around.

The humans were the ones that screwed themselves over, but it was also the vampire's fault for treating them as food and then the end of mankind.

Will I have to do this all the time when I go to any world that is like this in the future?

Or is it best to go about things solo the next time?
