59 Chapter 59: To Braindead a Demon

~Third POV~

Inside the mindscape of Jason stands the demon that lasted one thousand years was given the question to play a human's game. The mere idea was laughable to the demon from the arrogance that Asuramaru retained as a vampire.

Like all demons, he is manipulative and uses nightmares to erode a person's constitution to possess them, to take over his host's body. When he first formed his contract with Yu, he interrupts his dreams every night in a sustained effort to wear him down.

After all, the only reason he allows Yu to borrow his power is for the future opportunity to take over his body to act in the physical world.

But that wasn't mean Asuramaru was stupid to realize something was off about humans in general and Jason was no different to him.

Able to recognize traits that could be regarded as bad, but hardly considering his own, Asuramaru thinks of humans as vile, greedy creatures who are even worse than vampires and demons.

He regards them as taboo-breakers who will destroy the world. His unfavorable views have him think no better of seraphs, where Asuramaru considers them to be disgusting, yet he is conscious of what they can do.

Taking careful steps against Jason he replied to his question albeit with hesitation in his voice as he asked him with a cautious tone, "For a human to ask such a question do you truly think I would agree to your terms? Even knowing my name isn't something most aren't aware of… what is your goal?"

Jason on the other side just playfully replied to Asuramaru as he walks around his mindscape without a care in the world simply annoying the demon, "Oh little old me? I just want the power to fight for myself little demon. It's as simple as that the power to do as I wish without any fear of those above me humiliating me ever again. And besides this might be your one free ticket out of Shibuya without the Demon Moon Company hounding you right now?"

Asuramaru for his part wanted to take the game with the human for the chance for freedom as being a slave to humans was worse from his experience as the humans working in the Demon Moon Company will never let a demon go free.

Thinking of how unusual the human was with him Asurasmaru merely smirked at the offer presented to him. He was a proud and powerful Black Demon not those beneath him as the only powerful human with greater greed can satisfy his own while multiple people die trying to control him.

Asuramaru was weak without any greed to supply him but even so, it was enough to defeat a human as he soon conjured his medium of a sword as he rushes towards Jason agreeing to his game with a greedy expression, "If that is the case very well human! Let's see if you can even be my master! Although you are merely a human you have no real chance against a Black Demon like I!"

*Swoosh*

*Clang*

As Asuramaru agreed to his game the world began to shift inside his mindscape as Asuramaru looked at the whole area suddenly filled with games as the Nen ability of <No Game No Life> was activated. Jason for his part clashed against his sword using <Armament Nen> to counter it causing sparks to fly from the encounter.

Quickly backing off the initial attack Asuramaru for his part looked genuinely surprised to see his human foe produce something to counter his attack as he spoke, "Damn so that's the power of a weakened Black Demon? That was impressive that I managed to block that hit. Would've been hurting if I didn't guard myself, right?"

The demon just looked perplexed on the scene seeing that his strike didn't even send the human flying as he was admiring his strength while comparing it to his own. That alone made Asuramaru express an annoyed expression of the human.

*Swoosh*

*Swoosh*

*Clang*

Once more both went ahead to clash with each other as the two fighters expressed a serious expression as their attacks once more stopped each other in their tracks. Asuramaru for his part grew especially annoyed by the mere fact of how powerful the human is compared to his sorry state.

Something he saw that was impossible to be powerful on his own is something happening within the reality of the situation.

*Swoosh*

Quickly going for a behind attack Jason was ready to strike off Asuramaru's body as he went full power with his Nen, <On>, and his quirks to end the fight right then and there at that moment as he motioned a fast punch in the back.

Asuramaru noticing the immediate danger for the first time didn't know how to react that a human managed to get behind him but…

*BAM*

That one hit connected sending the demon flying off in the distance as Jason didn't let up as he rushed towards the direction Asuramaru was sent flying towards the wall of the mindscape.

*Thud*

Crashing against the wall of the mindscape Asuramaru coughed out the blood of his own with actual pure shock on his end as he noticed that he was harmed for the first time in disbelief as he responded to himself, "No… this is my blood… this is impossible no human should have this much power unless they have the power of a Seraph. What – "

*BAM*

Taking no notice from the incoming fist to the face as the demon was further damaged Jason being kind gave him a bit of friendly advice in a cold tone, "You know if the enemy is fighting against you the best thing to do is at least pay attention. Or else you get Shonen Jump on by someone else instead."

Asuramaru once more took damage to the head this time as it was profusely bleeding out from the damage coming from the attack to the head. As he was hit in the head a sinister glare was expressed out to Jason as he prepared to stab him close to his heart with his sword turning it invisible to surprise attack him.

As he went in to stab his heart Jason reacted to it with his <Observation Nen> that he held onto the blade as he noticed it was invisible gripping it tightly with an unamused face while talking to the demon, "Seriously? The invisible sword tricks. Come on Asuramaru this is like Saber level trick from that useless puppet in Fate/Zero. Show me something new or powerful?"

Gritting his teeth in clear dissatisfaction as he thought to himself in clear furry now being taunted by a mere human as he thought hatefully, 'I'm being lectured by a fucking human of all things about being powerful? WHAT THE FUCK! WE DEMONS ARE THE SYMBOL OF POWER!! I REFUSE TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON BY THIS PATHETIC HUMAN!!!'

His anger getting the better of him he then began to use the remaining of his energy he has left to defeat the human as he places his hand down on the floor as Jason detected something coming.

Backing off in a hurry Asuramaru then began to use his <Asura-Kannon>. <Asura-Kannon>: A special technique using Asuramaru that materializes dozens of floating swords roughly in the shape of a fan above the human generating them. Able to levitate around who has summoned them, the blades can be individually or all at once directed to fire into enemies.

Glancing at the blades Jason used his <Armament Nen> to cover his entire body as the demon unleashed his swords at him. Quickly using his quirk <Blast> Jason raised his hands at the swords as he released energy balls at them intending to block the attack.

*Pew**Pew**Pew*

*BOOM*

Each of the blasts of energy balls managed to block the attack as a veil of smokescreen soon appeared inside the mindscape as Jason was now on full guard as he relied on his <Observation Nen> to detect if there was any change in his body space to sense an attack coming.

Nothing inside the smokescreen could be detected as Jason calmly listens in where the demon would be hiding as he was thinking to himself, 'Asuramaru… truly a demon on his class of the Black Demon Series. If he wasn't so weak at this moment and isn't fueled by my greed, I don't think I would've won this easily.'

*Swoosh*

Quickly dashing forward from the smokescreen behind Jason Asuramaru rushed in with the hopes of defeating him. As he was going towards him the demon thought to himself in a prideful tone, 'Stupid human if I managed to connect this hit it would lead you to a fatal wound you will have no choice to surrender. Agreeing with me – '

*Menacing*

Suddenly a wave of <Conquer Nen> was unleashed full force as the aura surrounding Jason's body spread out as it suddenly became pressure stunning the demon in his place as the smokescreen surrounding them cleared up from the pressure.

Glancing at where the demon was Jason swirled his leg back as he roundhouses kicked the demon on the temple as it surprised it momentary as the Nen in Jason's body invaded its mind to be fearful of the unknown presence as the nature of Nen.

*Bam*

Hitting with enough force the demon was sent flying once more unexpected to see the pressure suddenly invade his mind and forced him to feel the fear along with the unknown pressure that cost him the chance to fight.

The demon wasted the remaining energy it had in the strike could only glare as he couldn't do anything as Jason went on over to touch him on the head as he used <New Order> to finish the game, "Asuramaru you will announce yourself to admit that you lose to me in this game."

Before Asuramaru could scoff at the human an unknown force invaded his very mind as the area surrounding him as he was forced to say his defeat, "I… I… I Asuramaru-u a-admit defeat-t to you human-n…"

Jason took notice of how much Asuramaru was struggling against the powers of <New Order> as he could only narrow his eyes as he thought to himself while the demon grunts, 'That's a new one… I didn't think people would be strong enough to withstand the power of <New Order> even if it was weakened against organic people. But then again I did use it on a very old but powerful demon so I think there might be exceptions to this that is good to know.'

*Screech*

Just like that the whole world froze as Asuramaru looked on in confusion but then concerned as to what has happened around him as he spoke, "Human what the hell is wrong with your mind!"

However, Jason didn't listen as he saw his ability is taking full effect as he saw the screen while holding the demon tightly as to not let go.

[Winner! You have won the bet against Asuramaru! As such you get what you want from the loser!]

Seeing that he won the game Jason smiled happily as he thought to himself in a happy tone for what he wanted next, 'Perfect! Now that I have won the game it's time to proceed to the next step getting rid of this demon.'

His eyes were now directed at the demon with pity in his eyes as he responds knowing what to do next as he spoke out scaring the thousand-year-old demon what happens next, "For what I want from you a loser is that the soul of Asuramaru to be braindead with no will with his soul still containing all of his abilities."

Then what happened next was the demon got away from Jason but the aura surrounding the area began to attack as a vicious beast as it quickly went for the head as the demon was not fulfilling the 11 pledge as such the Nen ability of <No Game No Life> went ahead to correct the loser refusal.

"AHHHH!!!"

A deafening screech of pain was heard from Asuramaru as the aura of the Jason Nen invaded his soul and forced him to comply as the loser.

The soul of Asuramaru then became braindead as the demon soon stopped screaming as his body soul then became limp and fell on the mindscape as it lost its intelligence leaving only his abilities behind.

Jason saw that one of the most powerful demon body was left undefended as he shakes his head in disappointment but then expresses joy as he spoke to himself, "Sorry there Asuramaru but this had to be this way. After all, I have no intention of letting you use your power to cause me distress waiting for the chance to backstab me, but I'll be sure to use your power for what I need. To create a true loyal weapon."
