52 Chapter 52: Foreboding Danger

~Jason POV~

Hmm…

How should I proceed to go about creating a new Nen ability with the time I was set for a week to come. Only a day has passed as I still have six days remaining.

But still, how do I go around Kurapika Nen's ability without having mine being stolen in return…

As I was sitting crossway on my bed as I trained my Nen Ten output in hopes of increasing my aura capacity I began to make a review of what my new 100% categories would be to get a better clue how should I go about it.

Enhancement is the ability to use aura to increase the natural abilities of an object or one's own body. Therefore, Enhancers can greatly increase their physical attack and defense and are best suited for melee combat.

Proficient Enhancers who also take good care of their body can make it far more durable than tanks and generate the force of a missile with one blow. It is rare to find male Enhancers with supportive abilities since most of them look to increase their combat prowess.

Enhancement is the most balanced category, allowing users to spread themselves evenly between offense and defense and become very powerful using only simple abilities. Examples of more complex Enhancement abilities include enhancing one's healing factor or boosting the target's growth.

However, it is a common belief that Enhancers generally do not need special techniques as their natural category already has the best balance between attack and defense as its primary attribute.

This might play into why most Enhancement Nen abilities in the series appear to be mere applications of basic and/or advanced Nen techniques at first glance due to the lack of requirement to manage between pros and cons on an overall scale during their development. Affinity for this category plays a crucial role in combat at all times, even when a Nen ability is not being used.

An affinity for Transmutation means a person can change the properties of their aura to mimic something else or only specific attributes. Altering the shape of one's aura falls in this Nen category too.

Similar to Emission, constructs created via Transmutation are pure aura, therefore they are invisible to individual's incapable of using Nen. Transmutation is often mistaken for Conjuration due to its similarities.

The difference is that Transmutation allows the user to mimic the properties of a substance with their aura, whereas Conjuration changes aura into the actual substance.

Transmuters are not limited to mimicking the properties of solid matter a good example of this is when Killua Zoldyck uses his aura to mimic the properties of electricity.

Transmuters can also give their aura certain properties instead of replicating the characteristics of a substance in its entirety: Hisoka's Bungee Gum mimics and combines the properties of rubber and gum, and it is several times more flexible, sticky, and durable than the real thing.

An affinity for Emission means that a user has an easier time separating their aura from their body. Aura usually decreases in intensity very quickly when it leaves the source body, but adept Emitters can separate their aura from their body for long periods, over long distances, and still be able to maintain it and its functions.

Due to its properties, Emission is typically employed in abilities with an emphasis on range and/or those that have long-lasting effects. Basic applications include shooting out projectiles or beams of aura at high speed.

While this method is primarily used to attack, it can also be used to propel oneself or to cast an effect about another Nen type remotely. Advanced applications of this Nen category include teleportation and enabling one's aura to phase through non-living matter.

The emission has also been combined with music to achieve surprising effects, such as relieving fatigue and transfixing the listeners.

Emitted aura appears to cap the user's output, and the more aura is separated from the user's body, the shorter the distance it can travel from the user. In some cases, users have shown the ability to recover emitted aura; thus far, this has only occurred when Manipulation was also involved.

Hmm…

Glancing at my arm as I raise it forward in front of me, I have to wonder something. Is Nen that much different from that anime in some ways?

When you compare the two aren't, they are somewhat the same just with different rules instead of how to use them?

Nen is the expression of willpower while the other one is just as similar as willpower manifestation in that anime…

Grinning at this I just figured out what I should use Enhancer and Emitter Category techniques I mean they are useful inside and out of their initial use.

Focusing my aura surrounding my whole body I began to use Gyo on my arm that I have in front of me as I began to enhance my natural aura to be very sturdy and combine that with my transmuter on it, I began to change the characteristic on it to a shiny white color on my skin then soon turned black as I grin further at the scene.

Talking to myself I was somewhat impressed by how impressive Nen is and how comparable it was to Haki from One Piece it was as I talk to myself happily, "So I can mimic the use of Haki to a degree with Transmuter and Enhancer. Hmm… how about I name this one <Armament Nen>."

Thinking of the idea this was best to deal with Kurapika Nen Chains especially with his <Steal Chain> maybe some more weapons other than natural enhancement and transmutation. Hmm… maybe I should use my emitter to send my aura like pressure using transmutation to change it into pressurized attacks like <Conquer Haki> or more like <Conquer Nen> if that is the case.

So many possibilities with Nen really but it's also restricting remembering all of them. But first I need to refine them as much as possible.

Also developing <Observation Haki> relies on the sixth sense that allows them to sense the presence, strength, and emotions of others, as well as gain limited precognitive abilities. That sounds a bit simple to do with just enhancement alone.

Humans have five senses: taste, smell, vision, hearing, and touch. However, an under-appreciated 'sixth sense,' called proprioception, allows us to keep track of where our body parts are in space.

Proprioception is sometimes called the 'sixth sense,' apart from the well-known five basic senses: vision, hearing, touch, smell, and taste. Proprioceptive sensations are a mystery because we are largely unaware of them. But in other words, it is defined as our ability to sense exactly where our body is.

If I practice long enough to enhance my senses including my sixth sense, I could achieve reaching this technique with enhancement alone. Maybe I should call it the <Observation Nen> just for name's sake.

The only thing left to do is refine them till the day comes to facing off against Kurapika comes. While he may look to me in strength, I can't help but be fearful of his mind after all he managed to beat a master Enhancer despite his short time being a hunter.

He also has a master strategic mind to match his willpower that in the future he will be the new zodiac of the Rat. That is something to take worthy attention of the hunter association to take notice of Kurapika of being the new Rat in their group.

He is someone I can't help but take seriously or else I would be the one to pay the price.

~Third POV~

Somewhere else outside Heavens Arena site was Kurapika as he was busy training his Nen all by himself as he focuses on increasing his Ten after witnessing Jason's large amount.

*BAM*

*CRUNCH*

*CRASH*

Gritting his teeth in rage he kept his cool as he trains using his chains as he smashes the rocks and trees nearby with all of his strength. Despite his training with his master when he left him as soon as he was completing it Kurapika felt that he needed more time to improve his skills as his master suggested he go to Heavens Arena.

Kurapika wanted to head straight first to go after the spiders but he considers what his master said as to train his own Nen at the time to see how far he went after he got his Hunter License.

When he entered the region of The Republic of Padokea a few days ago he managed to meet up with Killua and Gon going to heaven's Arena after they trained to get Killua away from his home for a few days.

Kurapika seeing and hearing this was surprised to see the boys again so soon after just a few months he catches up with them on the events after they split their ways. Surely enough during one of their conversations, Kurapika brought up how he won the second phase of the hunter exam which brought Gon and Killua attention.

Gon especially for his part felt that he was cheated his way of getting the hunter license like the rest of them. Gon was then making a sad expression hearing the news that made Killua look at his new friend in worry as a dark glint appeared in his eyes wanting to meet with Jason personally for making Gon sad.

However, Kurapika was feeling the bitter reality of his despair as he saw the wide power and aura gap between him and Jason. He could only feel jealous of him gaining what most master Nen users would produce in their life as it took only a few months for him to obtain such power in his Nen.

Kurapika began to feel enormous jealous rage building within him as he was training on his chains as he slams them down as screams out loud his pity jealousy, "Damn it! Why the hell is someone like him have that power just get it that easily? It's unfair as my goal is nobler than him but…"

Gripping his fist tightly as blood began to drip down wondering what he was going to do against him in the match at Heaven's Arena. He already tried to view the fights of his, but he only saw how fast he defeated the second and third matches but the first one just leaves him baffled.

Kurapika tried to figure out what was the first match but for the life of him he couldn't remember what he saw even viewing with Nen through his eyes he still didn't get the answer only that his opponent was sent to the hospital after the fight from head trauma.

The clueless trail that Jason left behind left Kurapika baffled on how he should deal with him but more so his pity jealous of his talent and potential compared to his own. He thought he was going to help his friend Gon get that license to see if he can be a good friend as well as help him supportively in the process.

"The hate and anger within you are strong young man…"

Hearing an eerie voice throughout the area Kurapika began to use his Nen to analyze the situation as well as the figure who the person was as he spoke in a serious voice, "You better come out whoever you are or else you will be sorry!"

Then again came the voice as it spoke out in a serious tone, "Boy… you will surely fall under the curse of that man's Nen ability of <No Game No Life> if you fought him now. Surely by now you probably fell for his trick."

Once more Kurapika was more confused at what the eerie voice but still kept his guard up as the voice continued as he listened more but heard more hate in the tone of his voice when it came to word hunter, "That Nen ability from that Hunter… will make you force to give up something you own as the loser. Quite the scary Conjurer ability with massive potential but also childish at the same time…"

Listening more Kurapika couldn't help but just feel malice of the voice of where it was coming from. Even using his Nen he still felt a large uncontrollable amount of hate within the area as he still didn't know where it belonged to…

*Swoosh*

Kurapika still on guard managed to grab something thrown at him as he holds the item in his hand as examined it closely, "A vial of blood? What do you want from me to use from this vial?"

That was when the voice finally left as the voice of the person left with one message to Kurapika in his hateful tone, "If you seek power more useful than Nen or at the verge of defeat use it to seek what you want Kurapika. Use it on the spiders to salivate your hunger of vengeance…"

Kurapika was shocked as he tries to look around for the person with info about the spiders but couldn't find where the person was no matter how hard he tries…

A figure along with a few of his followers leave the area where Kurapika was as the man was wearing a red coat with an aura of an ominous blue color as he spoke to himself with clear rage and hate-filled for one person, "Netero... I will make you pay and take those Black Reports from you! I'll start by destroying Heaven's Arena piece by piece by those Hunters you like making destroying them..."
