Hearing system's ruthless yet truthful advice, Yan didn't feel better at all. He didn't expect the symbiote to encourage him since its main mission is to monitor his behaviour and take action according to them.

But being told to redeem himself and become a better person while he can't even remember who he was?

[Host needs to understand that your actions from the past didn't only affect you. It also affected many descendants of that planet.

Their lives became unnecessarily hard because of what you did.

You may think creator is unfair but he will explain to you about every consequences of your actions once this punishment is done. Until then you're not worthy of the explanation.]

Instead of frowning, Yan said with a sigh. There's nothing he can do anyway. His situation is hopeless. If he tried anything with intentions of rebellion or refusal, system would most possibly report god immediately and he will be sent to hell instantly.

'...Fine. I will give this a chance but first, tell me. How does this karma thing even work? Do you have a specific number that has a value of my actions? Can you show me that? Can you detect whenever I do a positive thing?'

[I will explain it throughly. System works in a very simple way. There are NK (Negative Karma Points) and PK (Positive karmas). Whenever you do a positive thing, you gain PKs according to the value of it and the negative Karmas that you have will decrease accordingly.

Of cause, if you did something negative such as embezzlement, fraud, host will gain more NK which will result in your punishment to become longer.

Since this is a punishment, host will always be born in a poor family but don't fret. Whenever system determines that you have learned something positive, host will get 100 System points which you can exchange for helpful items inside system's store.'

Hearing that he can get items from system, Yan was delighted. He might be able to buy futuristic items from the store and possibly replicate the technology inside.

[Host misunderstood what I stated. You can only buy items that exist in this world currently. You are just paying system points instead of money. Whichever items you buy, the prices will vary accordinly.]

'Then what's the point of this store if I can just buy things from the real world instead of here!?' Yan was pissed hearing the outrageous and simply ridiculous words system said.

[Host, are you sure you understand what I said? You can buy ANYTHING from the store. Things that you currently might not be able to buy in real life possibly because of numerous reasons such as age, your background, etc.]

'Ahh, I get it... The store's point is to buy things I can't buy in normal means right now.

For example, military weapons, parachutes and bombs.'

[Host, calm down. You're not even one year old yet. Also, your mission is to bring positivity to this world, not chaos.]

'Did I see abit of a personality there? Wait.. How can you even have a personality..'

[Yes, I do have a personality. I am still an organism even if I have to live in symbiosis with other species.]

'So, you also have a gender?...'

[No. Symbiotes don't have genders. Also host, I prefer you to not ask personal questions if we want to be in a long healthy professional relationship.]

'Uhh okay...Just curious! Sorry, haha....'

Yan tried to laugh it out seeing the situation quickly becoming awkward.

[No need to apologise, host. It is my duty to assist you.]

'To assist me, huh?.... OH! System, tell me if I can open my eyes now! I haven't opened them since I woke up because they sting every time I tried.'

[Yes, you can-]

Hearing the answer, Yan opened his eyes slowly but feeling the pain he closed it yet again.

[If you can endure the pain for awhile that is. It will be painful since this is your first time opening these eyes.]

'You could have said it sooner...'

[Apology, host. You didn't let me finish the sentence.]

'Never mind...'

Yan tried slowly opening again. But this time he didn't close it even though it hurts so much.

Soon his eyes were wide open and the first thing he saw was face of the person holding him. Her eyelids are closed and she seems to be resting due to exhaustion. Even then, her hands never let go of the baby she's holding.

Yan tried to reach towards her cheek using his left hand but since his hands are so small that his body had to move forward too.

Feeling the movement from her hands, Catherine's head jerked up and her eyes widen open.

She looked down to see what's going on only to see her son touching her cheek with his little hands. He has this cute smile plastered on his face.

Her heart melt seeing his smile. She has never seen a much more innocent smile than this her whole life. She felt... love inside those eyes.
