12 Side story: Some food for thought.

Author: While being the author or reader of a fantasy novel might be exciting and cool it sometimes seams like the main characters are ungrateful for what they have, why do you think that is?

Also author: I think it is a mixture between being both in person, something which changes the way you perceive the world... and frankly under actual danger.

Author: That is a valid viewpoint but there's also the problem of some characters being absolutely lethargic and slow to improve, would that be normal in a world such as this?

Also author: I don't think so as that is basically "courting death" in every sense of the phrase, in essence the protagonist is throwing their life away because of their smugness in having a (often insufficient) lead over others or the danger at hand.
