Prologue

It was far too calm for Abraham. He paced the room anxiously, knowing what was about to happen. His honey brown eyes were seated in worry on his rugged face.

He was originally from the United States army. He ended up being put in a special research division due to his relation to a family that came from a secret order initially. More of a cult, really.

Being one of the O'Malleys had its perks. He looked at the portrait of old Sean from Ireland mounted over the fireplace. The family resemblance ended with the eyes.

Abraham was tall and muscular whilst Sean was short and fat. Not to mention Abraham had a full head of sandy blonde hair as opposed to Sean's balding red.

The phone rang on his desk and startled him out of his thoughts. "Hello," he said into the phone. "Are your bags packed?" the voice asked gruffly. "They have been since I got your call," Abraham said with a slight Southern twang to his accent, having been born in Tennessee.

"Good, you fly out in five hours," the voice on the other end stated. "Where to this time?" Abraham asked.

"You're meeting where it all began. Ireland. Meet up with Ashley there to get the details."

Ashley? His ex Ashley? Abraham remembered the last time he saw her was five years ago. They broke up on fairly good terms because their work was just too demanding on both of them, but it still created some awkwardness between them until they went to two separate continents to research their own projects.

"Will do," Abraham muttered.

"Be sure you're prepared, this is beyond anything you ever trained for. Where you're going, many don't come back. Don't be stupid."
