1 1 New World

The closest personality to me. No ideal mixed with my personality in my character but what I think is me, and how I will act in the situation.

Rather, this is a clone of me written in the novel with a disguised history.

———

I powerlessly hovered my cursor as the screen in front of me quickly changed.

Once I habitually clicked the [Steam] icon after I powered my coal-paper shit computer, including the [Steam-Chat], my profile account appeared.

A username entered in the [Steam-Chat]

[Black]

Last Online: 6 Years Ago.

[Borde]

Last Online: 2 Years Ago.

A nostalgic name appeared as I closed the steam chat and pondered.

'Should I play Dota Survivor in Dota 2 Arcade Mode like always?'

I inwardly shook my head. I've played and tried out a thousand skills combination. Playing anything further would be akin to rewatching the same boring movie.

No interesting entered my vision and even if it did, thinking of the long loading time devastated me. In the end, I concluded that it was a manga day.

Once I set my mind, the action was quick. I opened the Opera GX browser despite knowing the specs of my computer didn't fit it, I waited and visited the usual manga site I've been using.

Rawkuma. This site provided the raw version of the manga. Untranslated but as a Japanese, I could read it fine.

The only problem was, that it had too many ads. Although Opera GX deleted most of the ads, it couldn't get rid of the pop-ups.

I tried closing the new tabs that popped up until a letter entered my 'interest zone'

as a person who's used to the internet, I was immune to ads such as 'the nearest girl in your town' or something like 'looking for quick-fuck?'

However, the terms on the pop-ups were entirely different from usual.

[Do you ever feel you were born into the wrong world?]

[If you are ever given a chance to transport to a different world, what kind of world would you like it to be?]

Below it was a huge space and clicking on it, I could type whatever I want. Not gonna lie, I like this kind of question.

As a person with nothing to do and life as empty, a question that uses of your imagination is a big yes. Moreover, the sentence above gave me the huge 'No-Game No-Life' vibes.

After pondering for a brief moment, I answered the question on my computer screen.

[I want a world that is as absurd as possible. Similar to the fanfic novel I wrote based on the VTuber hobbies I once had with my online friend, I want the world to be cross-universal with numerous numbers of combat systems.]

...I once was satisfied with this answer but I added more in hope that I can keep this enjoyment as long as I can.

[Pirates, Mechanics, Cultivators, Heroes, Wizards, Esper, Warriors, I want all and more to be in that world.]

Hmm, but that would be the same as Holo Alter, wouldn't it?

[I also want to add a game-elements in that world. In that world, on set age, everyone would learn their first skill: Universal Language that allows them to talk the language everyone knows and speaks.]

I remembered that when I first made my VTuber fanfics, I also wanted to add the game system but declined that idea as I deemed it unfit...

My honest thought: Calculation. Skill Memo. Fuck that shit, I'm not wasting my time on that when the novel setting was complicated enough.

[The slain monster also drops 'Skill Book' & 'Skill-Tree Book' on rare drops with the latter being much rarer.]

I inputted all the ideas I had in the space and moved on.

[What kind of cheat would you like to accompany you with?]

'Oh, there it is. Cheat. A retarded third-rate Chinese writer uses to hide their idiot protagonist's incompetence.'

'I Have SSS-Rank Monster, All Buffs Applied On Me is Permanent, I Get 1 Million Times The Reward. Why don't you just fuck yourself.'

'One of the worse ones was an exam-type novel. Although not all of them, some of them are just so bad. All the main character did was provide an exam on what will happen in the future.'

'But at the end of the exam, he gets the abilities the person taking on the exam's abilities, as well as 10x the reward provided to them.'

'What did you do except for spoiling the future to get that reward?'

So slightly pissed and jokingly, I wrote on the space.

[Cheat is something you earn, not something you wish for.]

I laughed based on how ironic my life is compared to the answer I inputted.

Of course at this point of time, I didn't know yet how much I would regret of the options I made today.

I scrolled down further to answer more questions such as [If you were to change your looks~] [If you were born to such a world, what kind of family~]

I filled in 3,000 words essays on how handsome I want to look and how I want to be born to a commoner that's secretly saved the world.

Although my answers to this space turned out useless.

[Do you have anything you left behind?]

The message that suddenly appeared in screen that wasn't limited by the browser gave me a surprise.

At the same time, I looked around for the first time in a while. Apart from my computer being the only light source, everything was submerged in darkness.

The lack of sounds around my surrounding was strangely making me lonely.

Education, relationships, dreams, unknowingly I failed all of them becoming a hopeless person.

Without an achievement of success, confidence slowly sipped out of my body.

Without confidence, the expectation was gone to void.

Without expectation, could never come the 'effort' to try something.

As I aged, the more hopeless and a failure of man I feel I become.

In spite of that, I knew that I was nothing but making an excuse.

[Nah.]

The words inside the computer came out to the real world as my surroundings became glitchy, with the fabric of reality bugging, indicating a strange code.

"Very well. I shall send you out of this world."

Upon hearing the unfamiliar voice, I panicked out.

"Wa-wait, wait a minute," I said in a moment of spurs.

"What is it, mortals? My time doesn't come in abundance."

Though I didn't know what abundance meant unless I searched its definition in Google, it must be related in time because he said so.

I shamingly pointed my finger somewhere...

"My hugging pillows... I want to take it with me." I said to the 'god' or whatever it is.

The reason I was ashamed? Well because the opponent is 'someone who may be of a higher dimension' and the pillow I was pointing to... had an 'illustration'

"Whatever just take it with you."

"Thank you, also, can you make it so that I would never lose it, whatever happens?" since the god? Had much better patience, so I decided to get carried.

However, the god didn't respond and my surrounding changed in a great speed.

Once I noticed it, I was in the middle of the plain, walking down this path inside a forest.

[Welcome to Continent Iseekai! Would you like to begin the Tutorial?]

Continent Iseekai? That's a weird country. Thinking so, I said [No].

If you were a true gamer, you don't do tutorials.

[...Finishing the Tutorial. As a benefit of 'no cheats,' you have been given a Unique Skill by the system!]

[Prothor's Luck!] Passive

Rarity: Unique

Grade: Unidentified

Challenges, trials, and stories shall come on your way, whether you hope it or not.

Being the Prothor, you feel no resistance to changing the fate of anyone.

Having said that, you are nothing but a Prothor so you should be careful or you may lose your life in process.

[As a benefit to those who have been transported from the planet Earth, you can choose one skill below the 'Epic' grade.]

An endless list of skills popped out in front of my view.
