The Golden Palace

The emperor sat up from his bed and sighed in relief. The imperial doctor quickly reached for the teacup that was made of herbal medicine. He handed the cup to the emperor's reach.

"Get that cup out of my face before I throw it at you."Demanded the emperor. His glare to the imperial doctor was more than demonic.

The imperial doctor twitched of fear and placed it back on the nightstand.

"My sincere apologies, Your Majesty Please forgive me. What are your symptoms now?" questioned the nervous old man.

"I'm fine. In fact, it is annoying how well I feel after what I have just witnessed. I feel decent for now. Take that child back where it belongs. Also, imperial doctor, if you serve me that shit water again, you will be hanged. Understood?" instructed the emperor as he got up from his bed.

"Everyone, leave at once. Except for your Hansol. Ezra, take her back until I call for her again."

Soon, everyone ran out quickly, like mice. Hansol nervously stayed in the same spot with his arms behind his back.

"You know something I do not know. Speak up, Hansol." Commanded Xavier as he took off his wet gown. Hansol looked the other way as he began to strip naked.

"The princess is special. If my calculations are correct, your majesty seems to me that she may have had her awakening sooner than expected." Responded Hansol confidently.

Xavier went to the bathtub and began to bathe.

"... Seems like your calculations are correct. I will continue to observe my theory. Something about that child makes my pain go away. As if she is a witch of some sort. The next time I am in pain, I will call for her once more. If my speculation is correct, she may be more useful than I thought. She may have the ability to heal. If that is true, she will be quite useful in need of war in the future."He said calmly as he began to wash.

Hansol twitched in response.

"W...war? You mean, if the princess does have the ability to heal, you plan on sending her to war? For what? To heal?!" Hansol was outraged.

He could not believe his ears that a father would use his own daughter in violence, just for his own benefit and greed.

"You act as if you are surprised. We all have a purpose here, Hansol. You were appointed to be my chancellor for a reason. It is not because you are smart or my cousin, far from it. It is because of your ability—the ability to read minds. You know everything of what one thinks of. You make perfect decisions based on people's thoughts. You think Ezra, is the grand commander of the emerald knights because he is good with a sword? No. It is because he can turn invisible whenever he feels like it. He can kill a million men without having the enemy know the reason or the cause of it. Imagine being stabbed to death by thin air. What is an emperor for? We protect, we control, we demand, and we serve our empire. So what ability does that leave me, Hansol?"

"... The ability to mind control, your majesty." Hansol answered annoyingly.

"Exactly, only the best ruler can bring the whole empire on its knees when, where, and how he wants to. What does he need, Hansol?" He questioned once again, looking at Hansol.

"Mind control, your majesty." Hansol answered as he rolled his eyes.

"If the child can heal, she needs to know her place. If she truly can heal at such a young age, once her true awakening is determined, she will have a true purpose. She may finally be useful to me. Move the child to the golden palace." He demanded as he got up from the bathtub and began to dry his hair.

"Hand me my robe, Hansol. Also, you act as if I am a woman. You have exactly what I have. Unless you are ashamed, you are not as blessed as I am." Xavier snickered.

Hansol raised his eyebrow and handed him the robe.

"You must be quite happy and surprised, I decided to give that child her own palace. It is only for now. My curiosity for that child grew ever since today. Let's hope we keep it that way." Xavier stated.

Hansol quickly left the imperial palace and headed outside.

"The golden palace. It is a huge advantage compared to the tower; at least there, the princess can be near the other palaces and in reach of the imperial gardens. Things are finally starting to look up for now. I must see the princess at once." Hansol said to himself as he made his way to the tower.

"Ezra, if you happen to be with the princess, good. Stay there and wait for me. If not, go to the tower. I have important news to announce to everyone." He said in Ezra's mind.

After some time, Hansol arrived at the tower and greeted the princess.

"Han-han!" yelled the princess excitedly with her arms held high. He smiled and picked her up.

"Princess, I have amazing news to tell you. Let's wait until Ezra gets here, okay?"

After a few minutes, Ezra arrived out of breath.

"What… what happened?! Who died? Who's funeral is it? Who did he kill this time?" Ezra questioned, out of breath. He sat down on the chair to catch his breath.

Hansol rolled his eyes and told Marina to gather all the maids for a meeting.

"Listen up, everyone. Starting today, the princess will be moving to the golden palace." Hansol announced confidently as he held the princess in his arms.

"Oh! Thank the Giodivonian gods!"

"What fantastic news!"

"What amazing luck! Our lovely princess will finally be able to enjoy the lap of luxury!"

All sorts of whispers were spread throughout the maids.

Marina's face lit up like a Christmas tree and began to tear up.

"ARE YOU SERIOUS HANSOL? YOU MEAN, OUR PRINCESS WILL FINALLY GET HER OWN PALACE? MY OLD PALACE?!" Erza screamed in disbelief as he stood up from the shock.
