Unwanted Annoyance

"This is the 47th edition of the prestigious Le Ostre Global Awards; we are honored to present the awards for all the deserving people and organizations, on this occasion we would like to thank our Jury who is been giving judgments diligently without any bias and prejudice," the host went on speaking

"I always wished I had a brother but by looking at you today I feel like I got one," Rudy said sitting beside Louisa

"Just because I wore clothes like that you can't make me your brother," she said hitting his hand lightly

"Lou, it's not because of the way you are dressed but because of the way you are, tell me one quality yours which is girly," he asked her

"So you are being judgmental like every person on the earth, is there any rue book that girls should behave in this way and all, why these preconceived notions on anyone?" she asked angrily

"Sorry Lou, please don't be angry on me," Rudy pleaded as he knows the consequences of his best friends anger

"Lou, give me a smile now," he said tickling her a little and she smiled at him

"What's Mrs. Miller's reaction after watching her daughter who is looking exactly looking at how she never wanted her daughter to look?"

"Her dream of hitching me with some billionaires got broken, so she must be expressing her brief by sipping some vodka," Lou replied to him

"The awards have started please let me concentrate on that and I want you to garner the details of every person who received the awards and the work they have done to win the awards," she ordered him

"Where is Tim? Usually, he is the person who is supposed to do all this work right?" Rudy asked her

"He must be with dad," she replied to him

"Where is Mr. Miller? I haven't seen him yet"

"Our first and foremost awards goes to the bussing talents who has been exceptional in the field of changing business dynamics and 'The Brainiac' award goes to Ms.Kria Eriz," the presenter announced and a the beautiful and young took the award flashing a smile

"Ms.Miller, the one who is nominated for the awards are asked to sit in the front rows exclusively reserved for the VIP's, Please" a person who was clothed in perfectly ironed tuxedo requested her showing his id card which has the details about him saying that he is one of the event organizers

"Keep a track on everyone winning the awards, don't miss out anyone," she said to Rudy before following the man

"This way Ms.Miller," he led her to the front rows. All the beautiful young girls seating there passed an uncomfortable look at her. No wanted her to sit beside them

"Ms.Miller, you may sit here," he said her showing a seat. She gave a small smile to him

"God!! Please bless some people with a brain so that they will know how to behave at public gatherings," one of the girls said dramatically while other's laughed

"And someone needs to know that they have no right to interfere in other's business," Louisa replied

"Ohh Louisa, why are you being angry on her? She is speaking the truth, which sane person on the earth dresses up like this to an event?" another girl questioned Louisa

"I will dress the way I want to and no one has a right to question me about that. I am here as an Entrepreneur and not as a person who wants to flaunt her beauty to attract the opposite gender," she retorted

"Let's don't waste our time fighting with someone so puerile like her," one of the girls stopped others from speaking anymore and Louisa took a deep breath to calm the storm rising inside her

"Why is she behaving like this? Since when she started answering back to others?" the person who is following every step of her's thought

"The Eccentric Performer award goes to 'Lox Organizations' for the tremendous transformation they have done in the field of space technology with the introduction of strategic and creative innovations," the presenter announced and Louisa's lips curled into a smile.

She saw Shenoy Slater, CFO of their company receiving the award; all the mouths of those who have been gossiping about her got shut watching the company run by her winning the prestigious award

"Louisa, come over here," she received a text from Shenoy and she looked to her left and found Shenoy at a corner and she walked to him

"Louisa, as per the news you are going to win one of the biggest awards, if that is true I want you to promise me that you will give a speech normally, just like the way everyone gives. Please don't try your ways there," Shenoy requested her

"Mr. Slater, I have utmost respect on you for the way you are and trust me I didn't even have any slightest idea to deliver a badass speech but now that you made me remember that I won't lose the opportunity," she said with a mischievous grin

"Louisa, don't do that we can' risk the goodwill of our company," he said to her

"Don't worry about that Mr. Slater nothing will happen to the goodwill, but my answer would be a befitting reply to those who want to crush me under their feet," she said boiling with anger

She nodded at him and walked back to her place but it's occupied by the girls, not wanting to pick any fight due to the bad mood she is in she kept mum and started walking towards the corner but stopped when she listened to the mockery by others

"So the daring and dashing girl gave up so easily?" one of them said

"Ooh, you don't know about her? The daring and dashing exists only in her bio in real life she is a kitten controlled by others," another one laughed

"Dare you speak one more word and your tongues will be chopped," roared Louisa

"No one is scared of your warnings little kitten," the voice sent shrills down her spine. The voice which scares her every time. The voice of Esma Blair

Louisa turned her face to watch Esma standing there flaunting her expensive silver gown smirking at her. Louisa rooted in her place and she started moving towards her. The guards who have been at the event sensed something wrong and rushed near the girls.

"Please be seated Madam, you are blocking the view," they said to both Louisa and Esma

"Who is going to sit beside a filthy little kitten like her?" Esma said smirking

"Mam, you can't speak ill of anyone here, it's a punishable offense according to the rules," one of them warned her

"Who won't speak of ill about a person like her?" Esma laughed but Louisa didn't answer her back still stuck with the shock and started walking away

"Remember that you were vulnerable and you will always be a vulnerable little kitten," Esma's words spat venom

The eyes observed everything but stayed neutral without expressing any emotions. A tear rolled down from Louisa's cheek but she immediately wiped that away before someone notices that. She inhaled and exhaled a few times and opened her eyes which brimmed with conviction
