41 Arc 3- Chapter 9

*Starfire's Pov*

[... Host, I thought it didn't bother you]

'I never said it didn't bother me'

[... You are right, host, but that doesn't explain why you are here]

'You will know soon enough'

I clenched my hands and took a deep breath before entering the building.

I got to the front of the empty building and knelt down.

'It seems I finally came to church'

You heard me right, I am in a church after the drama with the female lead and staying a little in my room. Let's just say, her words reminded me again about my actual world.

I sighed and shook my head.

"You can do this, Star. You have courage and you have researched about this." I kept murmuring this under my breath like a chant, thankfully, Little que didn't say anything about it.

I breathed in before closing my eyes.

"God, I know this is the first time I am talking to you. I... I want to ask for forgiveness for all I did in my world, I might have left that world behind but the things I did and the pains I caused can't be forgotten. I might never go back to that world, I have nothing there after all but this will keep haunting my soul if I don't confess." I said softly before taking in another breath.

"I am... was an assassin, no matter how I tried to not kill the good people, at the end I still killed them cause some changed before I came for their life. I am an evil and despicable person to kill humans like that even though their lives isn't mine to take. They have their own lives and it is only up to you to decide to take it. I know I have sinned greatly and it might be too much to ask you to forgive me but I read that you forgive everyone of their sins, no matter how great, as long as they come to you and turn away from their evil ways. I know my sin is terrible but I still hope you will forgive me and remove the terrible ache that comes with it" I said, a tear dropping from my eyes.

"Lord, please forgive me" I said before falling into silence.

I felt renewed, like there was a burden removed from my shoulder and I was now rejuvenated. I was at peace with myself and felt as light as a feather and as free as a bird.

I smiled genuinely and got up.

"Thank you" I whispered before turning around to leave.

I walked in silence for a while before Little que decided to break the silence.

[Host?]

'Yes, Little que'

[That was... good. I didn't expect that from you]

'Aww... Is my Little que liking me more now?~'

[Tsk! That isn't what I am saying. I was just surprised]

I giggled inwardly at Little que's attempt to hide his embarrassment.

[Oh yeah! I almost forgot!]

'What?'

[Special Hidden Mission: Get rid of your past burden. Completed! Reward: 1,000,000 experience points]

'There is a special hidden mission? How come I didn't know that?~'

[That is why it is hidden, host. This missions are for the host's souls, not just a normal world's mission]

'Hmm... It seems the reward is much, are there more hidden missions like this?~'

[Yes, but the others might be more difficult to complete, especially since you won't know the mission]

'I guess so~'

'Little que'

[Yes, host?]

'Thank you, for sticking with me'

[No problem, host]

It was silent once again as I continued walking, it was really peaceful.

[Host, does that mean you will delete that video now?]

'You just ruined the moment, Little que' I thought, shaking my head in disappointment as a smile hung on my lips.

[Sorry host, but I really need to know. Now that you are... good, will you delete that embarrassing video of me? After all, you don't need to threaten me again]

'Hmm... Let me think about it' I thought as I stopped, appearing to be in deep thought.

Little que gave me a hopeful expression and I almost laughed.

'No, I will keep it. I like your silly side~'

{She is still the same annoying host, why did I expect her to be better?! -_-}

I smiled a little before wearing a blank face again as I noticed Carl not far from me, furrowing his brow.

"Carl, what are you thinking about?" I asked as his expression eased and he smiled at me.

"Nothing important" He said smiling as I nodded.

"I wanted to ask you a question anyway. How did you know that the Military head's daughter was part of the people that Ashley used?" I asked as Little que scoffed.

'What happened, Little que?~'

[You didn't know about the daughter because you were careless, if only you looked into the victim's family, host. It would have been a lot better]

'I didn't think there would be a victim that would have power like that, plus, I mostly placed the work in Justin's hands, you can't blame me~'

[Tsk! Whatever, host]

"To be honest, I am not exactly sure" He said as I furrowed my brows.

"How are you not sure?" I asked confused.

"That is what I was thinking about before you came. Some of my memories are blurry and I can't seem to remember how I got those evidences" He said with a confused expression.

[How did I not notice that? Why did Head let him come here?] Little que muttered to himself as I looked at him suspiciously in my mind.

'What are you talking about, Little que?'

[Nothing, host]

I rose a brow internally at Little que's weird actions.

"Why do you think that happened?" I asked Carl as he furrowed his brows.

"I am not sure but it felt like I wasn't in control of my body before" He said skeptically as he held his head as if he had an headache.

I rose a brow and almost smiled.

'Interesting~'

*Meanwhile, in System 002's space*

"Why was I forcefully brought out of that world" A male's voice sounded annoyed.

"It seems Starfire completed a special hidden mission, after all, it is only when a mission like that is completed that all hosts, except the host who completed the mission, is removed from their mission world" System 002 answered with a calm tone.

"Hmm... Which means there will be a party in honour of Starfire when she comes out of that world. It seems we will meet soon" He said with an amused smirk as System 002 pursed her lips.

"That reminds me, why did you put me in her brother's body with my mission being to help Starfire? I expected a better person and mission to be selected." He said coldly with the amused smirk still on his face.

"That was the Head's doing. Head is still angry with you and the bodies presented for you to occupy were even worse than her brother's, I selected the best I could for you, Master. As for the mission, there was nothing I could have done about that" She said with a calm expression even though her palms were already sweaty and she was really nervous.

"I just let one little girl die without bothering to help her and Head gets so angry, it is amusing really" He said, chuckling as System 002 remained quiet.

'You know what Starfire means to Head though' She thought but decided not to comment on it.

"Master, since Starfire has completed her first hidden mission, it means she is getting closer to attaining that. Head does have a reason to be angry with you" She finally said quietly as he looked at her and she froze.

"S-Sorry Master" She said carefully as he smirked.

"No, no, I am not angry at all. You just reminded me that Starfire is becoming a more worthy opponent" He said amusedly before chuckling.

"I can't wait to meet her with my own body"
