18 Mythical Beast

By the entrance of the sealed cave in the deep forest,

"Let's start with … Why were you sealed in this cave? And who sealed you here?" Shams asked the mythical beast directly.

< Sss … How dare you ask me like that? Don't you know that I . AM . A . MYTHICAL . BEAST? Sss … >

"So …? Should I even be scared? You are sealed in this dark cave. For who knows, how long you were kept inside … I really don't care whatever you are! We already established the fact that I am the key to your release and you are my ticket to my path to immortality and immense power. Answer me now!"

For a moment, there was a silence from the mythical beast who is still trying to weigh its options.

Shams was growing impatient. He gestured of stepping away and leaving.

< Sss … Fine! Fine! The God Emperor of the -Human Realm- obliterated my kind with the help of the leaders of the 4 sects of this realm for not serving the God Emperor. He employed them to erase my kind. Sss … >

"Woah! Just because your kind do not want to serve the God Emperor, all of your family was obliterated? Who is this God Emperor? And you did not answer my question how you ended up in this sealed cave."

< Sss … Each realm there are God Emperor is the most powerful being in that realm. The current God Emperor is an ancestor of the Golden Dragon Sect. That is why Golden Dragon Sect became the most feared sect. Thus, a God Emperor is feared by all sects and yearly they give an annual offering of their most pure virgin and tons of treasures for him to have in his lofty throne that no one dares to challenge. "Go on … I am listening …"

< Sss … Especially after the ruin and destruction of my family, no one became confident to even challenge him. Since we were the most powerful and the royal family among the mythical beasts, they wanted us gone. It was my mother and father who sacrificed themselves just to protect me and hide me from that God Emperor. After hearing the mythical beast, it made Shams feel sympathetic from what the mythical beast went through.

Somehow, Shams felt that both of them were victims of a cruel fate.

"Well, I also do not have parents. Life kind of duped me twice. Imagine, losing my parents in a tragic supernatural phenomenon. Then I got reborn in a new world where magic and impossible things exist but my second chance family or parents were killed by a massive killing for whatever reason there is. He further talked while the mythical beast started to earnestly listen to Shams' story.

All this time, the mythical beast thought that it got the most tragic fate but there was someone who got it worst.

A familiar story which it got resemblance of how they went through life.

"Actually, there is no difference if you got out or not because you will still be defeated by that God Emperor. He was able to defeat your entire family with the help of the entire sect leaders backing him up."

< Sss … Your solution is for me to surrender? Sss … >

"Silly of course not …!" exclaimed by Shams.

He then clarified, "Despite the cruelty of this life and tyranny of the powerful ones, I will not give in to defeat and misery! Surrender is unknown to me. I offer you total domination!"

< Sss … What do you exactly mean of total domination? You are too young. What could your small body do that I cannot do myself? Sss … >

"I understand your doubts. As I said I escaped death numerous times. So, I am tired to play weak and make excuses of not having things that I wanted for myself. I will conquer not only this realm but the other realms. Then I will make my own fate and will not allow it to cause misery to me again."

The mythical beast became curious and asked Shams further.

< Sss … Big words! Such ambitious plans you've got. But how will you accomplish it? Sss … >

Immediately Shams replied beaming with confidence and burning passion in his eyes,

"Lend me your power. You and I … We will show them all who should rule. The deities from the highest above realm have lived too comfortably in their world. Getting rid of each God Emperor will earn us a chance to become a deity ourselves." Shams explained.

And he continued to elaborate, "Then we will become the most-feared and untouchable. We will live comfortably and filled with riches from all realms. I promise you not only this world but I will hand you over everything in it …"

An evil promise that even the mythical beast could not comprehend.

Is this the right thing to do?

Will the mythical beast connive with the abomination and total chaos that Shams have in mind?

Since everything was already taken away from the mythical beast, a conclusion and decision to his dilemma.

< Sss … You got a deal, kiddo! Offer to me every living thing and become a deity yourself. I will lend you everything I've got. Just make sure … your promise must be fulfilled! Sss … >

"Oh, yes! I assure you. We will give them hell!"

Right after they promised to each other, Shams entered the cave.

Complete darkness …

Only a ball of light guiding him inside …

At the edge, drops of water and sound of small tremors going on.

Then there it was,

Wicked eyes that belonged to a mythical beast … Illuminating as bright like fire …

Then a golden orange of fire started to surround the fragile small body of Shams.

< Sss ... Are you ready? Sss ... >
