Chapter Three: Getting Robbed... Or is it the Other Way Around?

The streets of Haiyun city were bustling.

Everywhere there were street vendors, civilians, and tourists alike.

In a little stall in the center of the market square, there was a crowd.

It was in this tiny stall that Yechun sold her wares.

"I've never seen such fine bamboo paper before!"

"These necklaces are beautiful!"

The random stuff she kept making leisurely in her own free time were selling for over one hundred gold taels. Knowing this, Yechun felt a little disgruntled in her heart!

Soon enough, all her products had sold out in under around five hours' time, and it would have taken less time if not for the few people haggling and the other richer people having private bidding wars.

Yechun quietly sighed and went home.

Suddenly, from just outside the market square, Yechun stopped.

Someone was following her.

She squatted down by the side of the road and picked up a random branch, then kept walking.

Someone jumped out at her from an even more so random alleyway.

It was clear by the way this mysterious stranger dressed that they were a robber. Yechun immediately hit him over the head hard with the branch she had picked.

The stranger trying to rob her no fell to the ground, lingering on he edge of conscience.

"Who are you and why are you trying to jump me?" Yechun pulled down his mask.

He had a beautiful face, with a rosy face pale from fright.

Yechun did not regard his appearance at all, instead harshly whacking him across the face with her stick.

The man immediately jolted awake, like a child does when awakening from a particularly horrific nightmare.

Only he awakened from one nightmare to another, this one featuring Yechun squatting down beside him and saying "This is a robbery".

The stranger immediately handed over all the taels he had on him. He then proceeded to crawl home as Yechun counted his money, cackling as she went.
