1 "Lured Into A Food Trap" (edited)

"Ah! My head hurts." A soft and weak voice of a young girl could be heard mumbling inside a bed-chamber.

In the chamber, the curtains were drawn, the windows were shut and a heavy and bitter smell of medicinal herbs wafted through the air.

It was obvious the young girl lying on the bed in her chamber was seriously sick.

Aside stood a maid who looked very worried as she repeatedly kept touching the girl's forehead.

The girl seemed to be around fourteen or fifteen years old, only in her teens.

The girl looked very thin under the quilt and had a very dark complexion which seemed to be the result of being burnt under the sun after years of strenuous training.

However despite all if one looked closer and more carefully one could always see the shadow of a stunning beauty under her rough look.

All of a sudden another young girl around ten years old came rushing into the chamber carrying a bowl of medicine followed closely by another maid.

After she came in the first the girl did was to look at the girl lying on the bed and her pair of eyes turned red immediately as she continued towards the bed slowly.

"Sister wake up. When are you going to wake up?"

"When you wake up I won't bug you any more to me help me with my cultivation and I'll listen to whatever you say..... I'll be a good girl." The little girl handed the bowl to the maid beside the bed and she sat down at the edge the bed quietly, gently holding her sister's hand.

"Aah! What is it? Why is it so noisy?" This time the girl grumbled loudly and flung her hand that the little girl was holding onto.

Her sudden action shocked the little girl and she was stunned for a moment but after the realization dawned her the little girl was so excited that she immediately threw herself and hugged her elder sister.

Seeing her sudden action the two maids were terrified and couldn't react for a moment.

The eldest miss was too fragile to bear that hug.

But Jiang Ying Mei was so happy. Her elder sister finally woke up.

Being hugged so tightly Sia found it very hard to breathe.

Finally unable to take it Sia groggily opened her eyes to see which damned person was trying to strangle her in her sleep.

Her gaze was unfocused for a moment, everything before her eyes seemed to be covered in haze. Sia blinked her eyes hard twice before she could see more clearly.

As soon as her vision was clear the first thing that came before her eyes were she saw was the unfamiliar roof of the bed and unfamiliar curtains. And her beautiful eyes were soon filled with confusion. Bearing the monstrous hug that she couldn't get rid of Sia turned her head sideways with some difficulty only to see everything here was unfamiliar to her.

This bedroom with ancient setting was completely foreign to her.

Deep confusion filled her and suddenly felt suffocated only to realize there was still someone hanging on her neck like a big heavy pendant. Sia's mood turned irritable findng herself in such a unfamiliar surrounding as soon as woke and she pushed a bit harder to free herself.

Sia's force may be a bit too much or may be Jiang Ying Mei was struck with realisation Jiang Ying Mei's grip loosened and she jolted back.

Sia eyed her surroundings carefully once again and then looked back at the little girl sitting beside her. The little girl seemed to startled and looked a bit dazed, her face covered in tears and snot and she was staring at her with her wide inquiring eyes supported by two maids.

" Eldest sister, you woke up?"

" Eldest miss, are you all right? Do feel any discomfort? Let me get someone to call Madame back quickly."

" Eldest miss, do you want to drink some water, you must be perched?"

The three finally found their voices and followed one after another. Three of them were too excited. They didn't see the clear difference in their master's ( sister's) behaviour and they couldn't see what was amiss.

The ecstatic voices of the three brought even greater confusion for Sia. Her brows twisted deeper almost into a knot. Their addresses were even weirder.

Eldest sister?....Eldest miss?....

Where the hell was this?!

Who were these people?

Especially this girl with snot and tears?

The last thing she membered before losing her consciousness was going into an alley. How did she end up here?

She opened her mouth to ask the girl," Where is this place?" Wait, whose voice is this? She instinctively touched her throat and mumbled a few words randomly, and then she started looking at her hands and feet. After that, she jumped from her bed and went around the chamber looking for a mirror. When she finally found one she immediately looked at her face through the mirror. What she saw made her feel even worse.

She was fine to be a dark beauty too but it's not dark at all but burnt.

The servant girls and her sister were anxious seeing her clutching her head and writhing in agony. They carried her to the bed and went out to call for a physician leaving the young girl behind who sat beside her sister and watched her worriedly.

After some time when the girlfelt that her head was no longer aching she slowly opened her eyes.

To say it was a huge shock to her that she got transmigrated into an unknown world. But what could she do now? she could only try to accept her fate.

She thought it was also good, now she can try delicacies from this world too. Sia's foodie mind tried to console her with the idea of delicious food. But right at that moment, her brain sent all the information regarding those delicacies of this world. They were all boiled or roasted meat and vegetables without any taste and flavours; from the look of it, people of this world didn't seem to care much about eating, no not all people these cultivators don't care. As for ordinary people the previous owner of the body had never come in contact with them. So, she didn't know about their living habits.

All she knew was that the cultivators ate just to fill their stomachs and aid their cultivation. Once they reach a certain level they could survive years without eating and drinking.

Sia felt like her world was crumbling in front of her eyes. She was fine with being tanned as burnt coal, she was also fine with being transmigrated into a different world but why did she have to suffer in this way?

The little girl saw her sister acting like crazy and ran outside to look for their mother. She was really scared she had never seen her sister behave this way.
