Meng listened to the demon while occasionally asking him a few things before he more or less understood his story.

'You! You knew about his condition the entire time...Did you just test me?!" The demon's tone grew angry but he wasn't taking it too seriously.

"Sir Su, may I know what are you doing?" Meng heard someone speak to him and as he turned sideways, he noticed Xia Qingyue staring at him with suspicion visible in her cold eyes.

'More or less but don't hold it against me please, I wanted to know not only your ability but also if you have decided to let him live on your own volition.'

"I am here to send brother Yun off...Just as miss Xia" Meng replied with a calm expression.

"I see...I will be going first." Xia Qingyue said before leaving but Meng could sense that she didn't believe his words a bit.

'Senior, let me be frank with you, right now I am unable to help but I wouldn't have helped you even if I had the ability to do so, however, if I am to discover who is truly telling the truth in the span of 14 months and it is really the senior...I am willing to help you get outside. In the span of 14 months, I should become capable of helping you.' Meng said, surprising the old man.

'And in case you find the truth, what do you want for freeing me?' "Demon" didn't put any faith in Meng's words but it wouldn't hurt to at least ask.

'I want the senior to swear that he won't wreak havoc on the Profound Sky Continent for at least 3 years from the date of his release, this promise would include also the senior's entire family. 'I kind of understand your first request but why would you want to travel to the Illusory Demon Realm?' He questioned with narrowed eyes despite not being able to see Meng.

'Just by what I have heard from the senior, it looks like Illusory Demon Realm is much more magical due to the great variety of races. I want to broaden my horizons. Maybe the senior will find my words not convincing...I have no other reason neither do I feel like making up a more believable one. Do we have a deal?' Meng asked with a slightly amused tone.

'Hahaha, I, Yun Canghai accept this deal from an unknown person I have yet to even see! If you will truly succeed in freeing me, I and my entire Yun family won't forget it! You will have a solid back-up at the Illusory Demon Realm and no one will dare to make trouble for you!' Yun Canghai said with an amused laugh, half-joking while also half-serious.

Meng's eyebrows winced a bit upon hearing the demon's name...'Yun? ...Could it be such a coincidence? I would no longer be surprised but it would only strengthen my suspicion that Yun Che's fate and karma are being tempered by something to make him encounter suitable events.'

'Good, I will be taking my leave now, senior. Lastly, let me just humor the senior a bit...that person lying there half-dead together with the senior has the same surname as the senior, Yun.' Meng said with an amused tone and with his Spiritual Sense he could see Yun Canghai darting his eyes towards Yun Che's unconscious body. His face revealed a bit of regret which made Meng release a faint smile.

'To discover such secrets that happened so many years ago, you will have to venture inside one of the sacred grounds.' Yun Canghai said before Meng could leave and even himself had no confidence in charging inside one of the Sacred Grounds all alone.

Hearing his words, Meng stopped and frowned, thinking about the problem.

'That is indeed most likely the truth but I might have a few ways how to discover it straight from Mighty Heavenly Sword Region.' Meng replied before leaving but while he was walking out of the Sword Management Terrace, he was thinking about how much more troublesome this problem was than he expected it to be.

When he arrived at his courtyard, it was already midnight but when he was about to enter, he sensed someone coming to him outside of the courtyard. He waited for that person and saw that it was the same female disciple that used to call him to lead him to Yufeng.

"Senior Su..." The female disciple was oddly tense when she whispered to Meng once she spotted him. Her eyes were darting all around her as if she was doing something very suspicious.

"What is going on?" Meng frowned and also whispered, he couldn't feel anyone's presence in the vicinity but he still whispered to make the disciple feel less tense.

"Please take this and from this day onward, please act as we have never seen each other." The female disciple thrust something into his hands before quickly leaving without even saying goodbye which slightly puzzled Meng as he thought that she was here to take him to the Heavenly Sword Villa's courtyard once again.

'Sound Transmitting Jade? Its quality is also top, it should be able to transmit the sound from anywhere on the Profound Sky Continent...Yufeng, what are you doing?' Meng stared at the clear yellow gem in his hands and could feel its very complicated sound transmitting formation so he immediately knew that this was a top-quality one.

Meng was aware that Yufeng must have left the Heavenly Sword Villa but for what reason...That's something he was thinking about the entire night.

After a tedious journey, they arrived back at New Moon City, and obviously, they were welcomed by almost every single small sect that existed there, along with the branches of the major sects. Meng himself felt a bit weird at seeing how everyone's attitude ridiculously changed towards them but he didn't bother himself with it too much.

"Brother Meng!" "Brother Su!" 3 people came running to him and others around Meng left in silence, leaving him alone to greet others.

Those 3 people were Wan Xiu, Lin An, and Ren He that he met the first time he arrived at the New Moon City.

Wan Xiu's cultivation already broke through the 4th stage of True Profound Realm and her "senior" brothers broke through the 3rd stage, leaving them slightly behind her.

"It's good to see you all once again! The last time we have left for the tournament, I haven't even checked your progress but it looks like you haven't been slacking off at all!" Meng said with a genuine smile, feeling glad to see them once again.

Meng decided to spend the rest of the day talking to them and walking around, explaining what had really happened at the tournament since there were too many exaggerated versions outside. Meng also noticed Tie Zhancang preparing something big which made him only release a wider smile as this was the first time he saw the clan master so motivated to expand the clan.

'I probably have a few days before Chu Yueli arrives...I should prepare some fire attribute pills.' Meng himself didn't need to create fire attribute pills filled with lots of profound energy as they tend to be very expensive to make but he could even make poisonous ones, as long as there would be enough fire attribute in it, he couldn't care any less about the effects the pill itself will have.
