74 6th move

1 Whole month passed since Meng and Yufeng entered the second stage of this trial ground. Although they weren't keeping the count of killed beasts, it should be around 40 thousand which meant that they weren't even half-way through.

Meng's formations did a really good job and they were only a few times ambushed by Tyrant Profound Beasts. They practically could live in this trial without a problem. During this month, their relationship deepened by a bit more, allowing Meng to increase their "Dual-Cultivation" efficiency to 40%, however when he thought that he caught up to how Yufeng trusts him, he discovered that as his trust and feelings for her strengthened, then her own feelings strengthened too. Meng estimated that they would have 50% efficiency if not for him.

50% was already what regular lovers should have and although physical contact isn't necessary for this type of dual-cultivation, Meng knew that physical contact, in fact, strengthens those feelings so it also indirectly helps this dual-cultivation. By now, Meng was sure that Yufeng thinks about him more in a romantic way, well, he didn't need some estimated percentage of their efficiency to realize that.

Since their first teasing incident, there have been more similar events and Yufeng started becoming bolder and more confident. However, Meng refrained from saying anything about her feelings as he was fighting his own feelings. He liked Yufeng but he had no idea if it was in that way she liked him. She was constantly thinking that Meng wouldn't accept her feelings due to her already being a mother, the only reason why she kept having some hope was his positive responses to her teasing and flirting remarks.

After this 1 month, Meng's cultivation reached the 3rd stage of Sky Profound Realm while Yufeng stepped into the 5th stage of Emperor Profound Realm, however, her cultivation base was by now completely stable and stronger than ever. She probably could advance to the 6th stage but Meng told her to wait for a bit. Although the temptation to advance seemed extremely strong, she ultimately listened to his advice and focused on her weak spots in her cultivation base.

Meng was currently sitting cross-legged, trying to pry secrets of Death Scripture. He has already the decyphered Death Soul technique which allowed him to create three separate souls that can be hidden. As long as any of them exists, it would be impossible for him to die in the battle even if his entire body and main soul got completely obliterated. By now, he was only thinking about where to hide them.

Inside Meng's consciousness, a white flower with eighteen petals appeared out of nowhere. And at the same time, some sort of seal started forming itself inside his body. The seal itself looked very complex with gray energy surrounding it, making it look ominous.

That flower was Death Record technique and each time Meng would die, one of the petals would activate. The seal inside his body was the Death Seal technique that would redirect any injury his body would suffer into the seal and the seal would change it into death energy. The larger and more fatal the injury, the more Death Energy is generated and stored. It also makes his body more resilient to what injured it, however, there are still limitations and if the injury is too severe, the injury itself won't heal so easily.

'Done...One more technique remaining inside the Death Scripture...Still, this Death Scripture was made for masochists, well, it's not like I am afraid of pain but it's still a bit unsettling.' Meng opened his eyes and thought with a particular glint flashing inside his eyes.

"Little Meng, are you...alright?" Yufeng sensed some big changes in Meng's body but she had no idea what it was or why would she feel so since when she looked at Meng, he was completely the same.

"I am feeling fantastic, anyway, we got rid of many profound beasts inside the mountains, let's go towards that enormous forest, it will be easier to eliminate a large number of them at that place." Meng nodded his head with a smile before he got up and flew towards the big forest. He had no idea how big this domain was but one thing he knew was that it is enormous.

Meng stopped high at the sky in front of the forest, looking down at it with narrowed eyes.

"Little Meng, are you finally ready to use that 6th move you mentioned before?" Yufeng floated right next to him and asked with a curious expression.

"That's right, however...I need you to be as close to me as possible, this move was created just for utter destruction, it is impossible to determine who is an ally or enemy, plus my control over it is very minimal." Meng said and without even waiting for her response her caught her waist and pulled her as close to him as possible which completely caught her off guard and a small blush crept up on her face while glancing at his serious expression.

"I wouldn't worry about that, little Meng. I will be as close to you as possible any time you want~" She replied in a flirting manner as she did the same thing Meng did to her which made Meng shed his serious expression and smile towards her flirty remark.

Meng's expression suddenly became cold as he redirected his gaze below at the forest before his eyes changed to amber color but this time, they didn't have a warm glow to them, instead, the glow seemed as filled with burning wrath.

Meng raised his free left hand up above his hand and started releasing a massive amount of his Yang energy at once which made that energy completely visible to the naked eye, creating a thick amber-colored pillar in the air, reaching the clouds and far above what eyes could perceive. Releasing such a huge amount of profound energy obviously attracted all the beasts in the vicinity of several kilometers and the ones right below them already started flying towards them.

'...' The amber-colored pillar abruptly disappeared and Yufeng stared dumbfoundedly into Meng's dangerously glowing amber eyes that almost looked like they contain all that energy he just released.

"6th move...Sun's Calamity" Meng muttered and swung his left hand down.

A looming shadow suddenly appeared above them and the entire forest was enveloped in the shadow which made Yufeng look above just to have her eyes widened in horror as she was looking at a large burning sun breaking through the clouds, completely eradicating them while falling down towards them and the forest.

Meng looked down at the profound beast flying towards them with a faint smile.

"Quickly, we need to disappear from here!" Meng said and firmly held Yufeng's waist before using his The Void Shattering Step to its maximum ability. They suddenly disappeared from the place as if they have teleported and appeared more than 1 kilometer away but Meng didn't stop and kept going until they were watching the burning sun from several kilometers away.

The burning sun engulfed the profound beast that wanted to attack Meng and Yufeng in amber-colored flames, quickly turning them to ashes.

Even Yufeng turned tense as the burning sun was about to hit the ground...

*...whoosh!* The deafening sound that should have resounded never reached them as it was covered by the profound beast cries. The forest was completely engulfed in flames that were spreading so fast that not even Emperor Profound Beasts located a kilometer away could have escaped those flames.

"..." Even Yufeng and Meng watching the scene in silence from several kilometers away felt extremely hot wind hitting their faces.

'This move...was released by someone at Sky Profound Realm? This is what Monarchs should be capable of doing...not Sky Profound Realm.' Yufeng thought while unconsciously pressing her shoulder against Meng's shoulder as if she wanted to be even closer which was literally impossible but this action still brought her peace of mind.

'...What a ferocious technique, it even turned several meters of earth into ashes. The forest and all profound beasts wandering inside...there are no remains of its existence except for the large pile of ashes impossible to be even blown away by the regular wind. It's hard to believe that this human has such a low cultivation base. This one move killed more than 10 thousand of the profound beasts.' Residual soul thought while looking at the piles of ashes with a deep look in its azure eyes.

*Huff* *Huff* Yufeng just now noticed Meng's ragged breathing along with a small line of blood flowing out of the corner of his mouth.

"Little Meng?! Are you alright?!" She quickly held him with both her hands even though there was no need.

"Y-Yeah, I used up all my profound energy at once which gave me a small backlash. Let's return to the camp, I need to rest for a bit." Meng said with a weak smile but didn't mention that it was also partly because of his immediate and consecutive usage of The Void Shattering Step, drawing the maximum from it while also carrying Yufeng with him.
