When Will You Start Seeing Yang Jia As Your Daughter?

Yang Meiyi came out of the school building and saw Sang Xiu waiting for her with a smile on her face. The forty two years old woman looked nothing like her age, she was still beautiful, it was as if the woman stopped aging at the age of thirty.

Returning her mother smile, Yang Meiyi ran to her and hugged her tightly.

Sang Xiu smile widen at her daughter's actions and asked "Are you that happy to score the highest in your English test?"

Yang Meiyi let go of her mother and nodded.

"I'm so glad you listened to me and decided to take your studies seriously. Although, you need to put more effort in your maths but with your amazing performance, I'm sure you will be able to enter Suwei University." Sang Xiu said proudly.

Suwei University was the best university in country M and also the one Yang Jia, Gu Zhen and Fu Mingze attended before he travelled.

"If I am not able to enter Suwei University, will you be disappointed?"

Sang Xiu carressed her daughter cheek gently and said "The main reason you want to get into that university is because it's the same one Fu Mingze attended right?"

Yang Meiyi nodded with a sad smile.

"Then that means if you don't get in, you are going to be sad and lose your motivation to apply for any other university. You know, when you were fifteen years old, I thought of this and I wondered what i could do to ensure my daughter doesn't get depressed incase she doesn't go to the same university her crush went to, so I decided to do something about it."

Yang Meiyi frowned and asked "What did you do?"

Sang Xiu shrugged and said "Nothing much, I just became a board member of the university my daughter badly wants to go to."

Meiyi widen her eyes and said "Really! You did? But when?"

"It doesn't matter when, why or how? What matters is that you are going to Suwei University and nothing is going to stop you."

Out of excitement, Yang Meiyi hugged her mother tightly.

Sang Xiu embraced her as well and after a short moment said "I know you are feeling immerse love for me at this moment but we need to get into the car, I heard of a good ice cream parlor that opened recently, why don't we go check it out."

Meiyi let go of her mother and nodded with a smile.

Sang Xiu laughed softly and kissed her daughter forehead before saying "Let's go."

After spending their afternoon with each other, Yang Meiyi and Sang Xiu finally arrived at the Yang Mansion.

Immediately they entered the house, Yang Meiyi saw Yang Jiu sitting in the living room with a cold expression on his face, he was drinking and it made Meiyi to wondered if something happened in the company, but nevertheless she was about to go greet her father when she heard Sang Xiu sweet voice saying "Meiyi, you must be tired. Why don't you go freshen up in your room while I make you your favorite meal."

Meiyi glanced between her mother and father before nodding and went up to her room.

After Yang Meiyi had left the living room, Sang Xiu placed all the things she had bought on the couch and said "Seeing the look on your face, I can assume that the business deal with the Zhu didn't go as plan."

"Of course it didn't. That useless daughter of mine ruined everything."

"How so?" Sang Xiu asked calmly as she looked at her husband who just kept drinking.

"The man just wanted her to pour him a drink but she got angry and insulted him."

"Yang Jia does have her temper but drinking won't solve anything and I can't allow you sleep here if you are drunk."

Yang Jiu frowned and asked "What do you mean by that?"

"It means, a drunk man and my teenage daughter can't sleep on the same roof. How do you expect to think when you flood your brain with alcohol?"

"The Yang corporation is about to go bankrupt and all you care about is what I am drinking?"

"Your company won't go bankrupt, it is something we can't afford. My Meiyi is about to go to college and I can't let your foolish mistake affect her future. A year ago, I warned you not to go ahead with that business but you were moved by greed, now look where it's got you. Did you even stopped to think of how Meiyi future will be like if you go down, how people will mock her?"

"And once again all you care about is Meiyi!" Yang Jiu shouted

Sang Xiu scoffed and asked "Then who should I care about?"

"When will you start seeing Yang Jia as your daughter?" Yang Jiu asked.

"Oh please spare me that nonesense. You talk as if she sees me as her mother, even till this day she thinks I had an affair with you while you were still married to that mad woman."

"Do not call her that?"

"And do not tell me what to do, now keep quiet so that I can think."

Sang Xiu paced round the living room for a brief moment and suddenly stopped when an idea came to her. She looked at Yang Jiu and asked "The anniversary of the Fu group is coming up right? Infact it is a day after Yang Meiyi birthday."

"Yes but so what? Only big companies will be invited not a company that is about to go bankrupt." Yang Jiu said with bitterness.

"And that's when Meiyi comes in. I'm sure Meiyi can get an invitation from old master Fu, after all she is his adopted granddaughter."

"There is no need to ask Meiyi, I have already gotten an invitation for Yang corporation." A voice said.

Both Yang Jiu and Sang Xiu turned to the voice and saw a twenty three years old Yang Jia looking at both of them proudly.

"Really! But how?" Yang Jiu asked in excitement.

"I got the invitation personally from Fu Mingze." Yang Jia said proudly, she looked at Sang Xiu and said mockingly "Adopted granddaughter you say? Fu Mingze has been in country M for over a week and yet Fu Shen never informed his beloved granddaughter about it. You must know what this means right Sang Xiu? Your daughter Meiyi might has started losing her value in that old man eyes."
