Just One Last Star

I lay on my bed, staring at my plain ceiling with nothing in my mind.

My current status? Bored as hell.

My name is Athena, and my age doesn't matter. I'm just an ordinary college student with nothing to do during the summer.

Removing my sight from my ceiling, it landed on my phone on my desk. My hand suddenly itched, and the impatience that I have been trying to hold back suddenly broke out.

Silently praying in my heart, I finally got up and moved towards my target. My phone.

I stood beside my desk, observing my charging phone to see any clues that will assures me of my desire, which is stupid, as my phone doesn't have that function. I knew that I have to wait, just a little more I'll definitely get what I wanted.

Looking at the wall clock in the room, my eyes brightened when I noticed that, yes, its been almost two hours. With a big smile, I removed the charger from my phone and unlocked it. Then my smile, fade, replaced by a frown.

"Only 78%? Are you kidding me? I have been charging for two hours! That fast charging advertisement is full of lies! Bad review!" I muttered angrily under my breath, moving my sight and glaring at my trashcan under my desk where a charger package lies.

Signing in resignation, I walked towards my bed and lied down like a deflated balloon, staring at my phone. Right now, I'm currently deciding whether I should continue charging or not. But its not about whether my phone can last long, its about whether I can wait again.

Thinking about it, I decide nope, no way. I'm gonna use my phone now.

Sitting up, I once again unlock my phone and opened the app that I have been very familiar since the past few month.

Mobile Legend: Bang Bang. It's a game that was introduced by a friend of mine, which I have fallen in love immediately.

It's a MOBA where 10 players divided into two team tried to kill and destroys each other bases. There are many heroes to choose from, raging from Tank, Fighter, Assassin, Mage, Marksman and Support.

I was a very awful player at first, a 'cancer' in the game lol.

I would attack other players even though I was at disadvantage, attack them while they are in groups, I would even forget to use my skills and just use normal attacks. I motto before was "No retreat!" So even if my HP and MP are extremely low, I still wouldn't recall. It was either me that died or them! Unfortunately, its me that died more often, becoming a fertilizer that lets my enemies grow fatter and stronger and my history was full of defeats and losses.

The only way I would win before was if my team have a strong player and the other side has a member as stupid or worse than I am.

After countless games and tutorials from videos and tips from my friends, I finally manage arrive in the ranks of Grandmaster I 5 stars. Just one more victory in a rank game and I will finally enter Epic!! Just thinking about it excites me!

Oh! The game finished loading.

I stared at the glorious starts in my rank lovingly. I took a deep breathe, and entered the rank game lobby. I stared at my friend list, looking for anyone to help me with my great ambition. Unfortunately, nobody is online.

"Oh well, I can handle it myself." I let out a confident laugh. Tapping the 'enter' button, I waited for battle.

The screen showed my prospective teammates and enemies. Before I manage to click the 'enter' button, my bed suddenly shook.

E-Earthquake?!

I heard my mother calls from downstairs, and the hurried footsteps from the halls probably made by my sibling hurrying to go outside.

Waking up from my shock, I also jumped out of my bed to follow them.

Pain.

I fell, my feet got tangled up with sheets. Standing shakily, I walked towards the door, ignoring my painful sides, and rotating eyesight.

Then the intensity of the earthquake increase, easily making me lose my balance with my already weak legs. An even more horrid pain hit my temple and the last thought before I lost my consciousness was…
