66 Chapter 65: Substitute

The system kept quiet for the whole day and watched her host dealing with the heroine Eulia, the male partner Zhou Lee and the scumbag Shuna.

The system couldn't help but want to laugh, the only information that her host received was about the original owner only the rest were not given. It was part of the difficulty she apply and was eating melons watching them.

Lu Xie ignored the system and sped up signing, reading, and assigning the tasks. Instead of working in a company, it's best to go with the original owner's wishes.

She had always liked to write stories, but because her mother got hospitalized she gave up her dream and work in the company.

After she finished her work, she still had free time so she decides to start writing a manuscript.

"System, what kind of story should I write," Lu Xie thought

Lu Xie shuddered for some reason but she ignored it. Making a manuscript is a bit hard the original owner start a freelancing story on a novel website and gained a bit of popularity.

Her previous book was rated around 2.3 out of 5. It was still good as a newbie writer, Lu Xie looked up the previous book and it ended in mid-December last year. She didn't post any more updates after that.

Lu Xie created a new book and posted a chapter she had 2.4k readers and 190 followers so she hoped they can see it.

Started to think of some plots in her story, and her hands moved fast in typing on her computer.

The sun slowly descends on the horizon, the soft reddish, and yellowish color of the sunset illuminated the office.

Lu Xie stopped her fingers from typing and looked at the time it was already time off work. She saved the manuscript and send it to her computer then pack her things and left the company.

At 6:00 pm, Lu Xie arrived at the hospital and saw Eulia and their moms waiting in the lobby.

"Oh my baby is here," Lu's mom noticed her daughter

Lu Xie smiled softly "Mom, I'm back" then she kissed her cheeks

"How's work? Your not tired right?" Lu's mom asked worriedly

"I'm a fine mom"

"Good evening Auntie Eulia"

"Good evening to you too" Eulias mom greeted

"Let's go, I have reserved a restaurant," Eulia said softly she looked at Lu Xie and she can see that she is a little tired but her smile didn't show her emotions.

"Please lead the way" Lu Xie went behind her mom

"The restaurant is near here, so we can just walk" Eulia started to push her mom's wheelchair

Lu Xie followed they were both walking side by side.

"Axie, I heard you liked writing is that true" Eulias mom started the conversation while going to the restaurant

"Yes auntie, in fact, I'm starting to make a new novel" Lu Xie said softly

"Really!" Eulias mom was excited she had always liked reading any genre of books before and had collected a lot of them

"Axie's hobby since she was young was writing she even won an International competition in high school and college," Lu's mom said proudly

"Oh my, can I read your book Axie" Eulias mom said enthusiastically

"Of course Auntie," Lu Xie chuckled slightly

Eulia listened to their conversation, her mom seems to be very excited this is the first time she saw her mom like this.

"We're here mom" Eulia pushed her mom softly inside a luxurious restaurant

"Good evening miss, please follow me" a waiter greeted us at the entrance

They followed the waiter and went to a private room, Lu Xie locked the wheelchair then knelt and pick her mom in a bridal style then gently sat her down on the chair.

"Axie you are very strong," Eulias mom said stunned

"I usually work out Auntie" Lu Xie smiled

Eulia held her mom's arms to help her onto the chair. Lu Xie voluntarily held Eulias mom and gently sat her on the chair opposite her mom.

"This child," Eulias mom chuckled

Lu Xie didn't know but she had a habit to pull a chair, she pulled the chair beside auntie for Eulia to sit. Eulia felt a slight heat on her cheeks and sat down.

Lu Xie pushed the chair slightly to make her comfortable, then went to her chair near her mom.

"My, such a gentlewoman" Lu's mom teased

"Aren't I always like this to you mom" Lu Xie pouted

Lu's mom chuckled

"Please choose anything you want Auntie" Eulia pushed a menu on them

Lu Xie looked at the menu and frowned slightly, the food looked good but the ingredients on it are making her frown. Eulia noticed her frown.

"What's wrong is the food, not your liking," Eulia asked curiously

"The ingredients of the food are what's worrying me. Look here, there is too much Andil seasoning and Hasko they might be good for your health but consuming too much will lead the body to deteriorate and feel sick" Lu Xie said a little cold

Andil and Hasko is an ingredient that is found in the mountains a wild kind of leaves, that emits a fragrance of mint and vanilla. People used this for seasoning in restaurants to make the food more aromatic.

"My is that true Eulia" Eulias mom said shocked

"Yes mom I read some of the characteristics and it's true but I didn't expect that they are putting that much" Eulia frowned

"Auntie do you often eat in this restaurant," Lu Xie asked

Eulias mom nodded.

"It might be because you consumed too much your legs started to go weak and made you unable to walk," Lu Xie said seriously

Eulias face was cold and looked at the waiter on the side waiting.

"Call the chefs and manager now" Eulia ordered coldly

The waiter shivered and nodded immediately he run out. Eulia looked at her mom her eyes turned red.

"Baby, it's not your fault don't cry" Eulias mom patted her back

"I'll make that bastard pay" Eulia gritted her teeth

Lu Xie stayed silent and checked the rest of the ingredients listed on the menu, it might be a nice restaurant but its harms people unintentionally or internationally.

It's impossible for a chef not to know about using too much Andil and Hasko. It's either the chef didn't know or he was intentional.

Then the room door opened, a man in his 30s wearing a white apron that was wrinkled, he had a big tummy, his hair was haggard, his eyes were lazy looking at them and his hands were clean as if he never touched the kitchen.

Lu Xie looked at him coldly and stood up, walked toward him, and slapped him hard.

The people in the room were shocked, the man was stunned and then returned to his senses.

"You b*tch" he cursed he raised his hand he was about to slap her

Lu Xie held his wrist, turned her back, carried him on her back then slammed him down to the floor.

"AAHHHHH" the man screamed

"Call all the kitchen staff now," Lu Xie said coldly her aura was heavy

The waiter once again ran out.

"Baby, why did you do that" Lu's mom said worriedly

"I'll tell you later let's wait for the staff to come" Lu Xie soften her face but her eyes were very cold

Lu's mom nodded, Eulia and her mom also didn't ask then waited.

"You b*tch you will p~" The man didn't finish talking

"Speak.One.More.Time.I'll.Kill.You" Lu Xie released a killing intent

"Hehhee" the man pissed himself in fear and his body trembled

The waiter returned with all the kitchen staff, the man was lying on the ground groaning quietly.

"I'll ask directly if you are all not honest I'll make you like him. What is he doing when he's in the kitchen?" Lu Xie threatened

"Axie~" Lu's mom was cut

"H... He was sleeping" a staff said nervously

"What else?" Lu Xie crossed her arms

"H... He kept ordering us around, while he just sat in a corner to play with his phone or sleep." another spoke

"B*tch I did~" he disnt finished speaking

Lu Xie stepped on his hand

"Ahhhhh" he screamed once again

"Then what about the food? Why is there a lot of Andil and Hasko on the dishes? Do you know what will happen if a person consumed too much?" Lu Xie said coldly the pressure was heavy

The staff trembled "H... He was the one who put seasonings on all the food that is about to be cooked. He said all we need to do is cook it and if we complain he would beat us to death. One time a staff complained he was beaten until now is in the hospital in a coma"

"I... I did~" the man was about to retort but Lu Xie didn't give him a chance and crushed his hand even more

"Try screaming and I'll shut your mouth forever" Lu Xie looked at him eerily

All the people in the room trembled in fear. Even Lu's mom felt scared of her daughter she never thought she had this side of her.

"Do you know what you did fatty? Endangering a person because of the food you made, do you think the law will let you go? Do you know how many people will get sick because of you? How did you even become a chef when you were a good-for-nothing guy?" Lu Xie looked at him coldly

The man trembled in fear, his eyes were filled with fear of this woman.

"Call the security and charged all the things he did," Lu Xie told the waiter

The waiter nodded and called security, two big men with huge muscles came and took the man away. The kitchen staff all went back to the kitchen

Lu Xie looked at her mom and smiled but not a smile. Lu's mom reached up her hand and held her daughter's hand.

"Baby, I'm not mad but you scared me" Lu's mom gripped her hand

"I'm sorry" Lu Xie bowed her head

"Axie it's fine, but next time don't use violence," Eulias mom said softly

"I understand Auntie" Lu Xie smiled

"How about let's go to another restaurant" Eulia suggest she felt scared by her earlier but what she said is reasonable so she calm down

"No it's fine, I'll cook our dinner. What your order?" Lu Xie asked

"You can cook?" Eulia asked

Lu Xie nodded

"Then I'll have, ribeye steak," Eulia said a little excited

"Baby i want Bulgogi, kimbab and pumpkin porridge" Lu's mom said excited its been a while since she tasted her daughter craft

"Then I'll have noddles and any side dish" Eulias mom said

Lu Xie nodded and went to the kitchen.
