2 CHAPTER 2: FINALLY, THE GOLDEN FINGER IS HERE

She couldn't even afford to leave the forest peacefully for fear that she may be found and killed for real this time. She couldn't even afford to buy herself some staple food, grains, and oil to make food.

Clothes and quilts were a luxury that she couldn't afford and now the forest was fighting against her. It was becoming even harder for her to find some food. If this continues, wasn't she going to starve to death?

"How I wish that the heavens can have mercy on me! Just give me something, even a tiny bit and I will be grateful. I just want to live, eat and sleep without getting stressed about tomorrow. Can't you just bless me this once?" she yelled out with frustration as she looked at the sky with resentment.

Her frustration even increased when all she could hear were the birds chirping, 'I should stop making a fool of myself!' she lamented.

After venting out her frustration, the woman left the cave once more with a basket on her back and chose a different direction. She needed to find more food no matter what.

She wanted to buy some clothes and quilts; she was tired of shivering in the cold even the heat from the fire wasn't helping. Living in a cave and in a forest wasn't what she imagined her life will be like.

So, if she makes a lot of money, she was going to find a place to move into. Unlike other transmigrators, she didn't have anything that she was good at.

She wasn't a great cook, so going to restaurants and becoming a chef was something that she couldn't do. She wasn't a fashion designer so making clothes was just ridiculous.

She wasn't talented in anything and it was thanks to this that her family didn't even remember that she exists.

If she had paid attention to learning maybe she wouldn't be playing survival in the forest now. If it wasn't because of her adoptive father that she learnt how to survive, hunt some small game and gather wild vegetables and herbs.

And from not knowing a lot of things that were vital for every transmigrator, she didn't even receive a cheat or system. How can she be happy with the heavens?

She felt as if everyone was making a fool out of her but it was already too late for her to cry anymore.

She searched the forest for hours and returned back to her cave with a wild chicken, at least she didn't waste her time this night. She would have sold the chicken but when she thought of the importance of having protein in her system, she killed it and roasted it to keep it longer.

Later that night when she was shivering on her stone bed, hoping that miraculously the heat in the cave will be sufficient to make her sleep beautifully something weird happened.

[Target has been found. All conditions had been met and the target is perfect for the program.]

She thought that it was another weird dream that she was having.

At this time, even if she wanted to keep on sleeping it was practically impossible. That monotonous voice was so loud in her head that she woke up and sat there in a frozen stupor.

[The Hypermarket system is completely bound with the host. Congratulations host for binding with the hyper-market system. May your journey be filled with happiness and may this happiness be spread all over the world.]

She was still sitting there on her stone bed confused about what was happening. To be honest she has heard everything clearly but she didn't want to get her hopes high.

It was as if she was in the middle of another dream and she didn't want to raise her hopes high and then get cruelly crushed after that.

[The host can now receive the novice package and also check the host's status and receive your first mission.]

This message finally woke her up and a smile broke out on her face. With trembling hands, she commanded in her head for the menu to appear, and voila like magic it appeared.

She was so happy she wanted to scream but it was night and she didn't want to invite any unwanted guests to her humble abode.

HYPERMARKET SYSTEM

Name: Alayna West

Age: 42

Race: Human

Level: 1

Cultivation: None

Inventory: (Novice package)

Points: 0

There wasn't much but this was enough for Alayna, she didn't know what this system was for but as long as she receives something then she was very happy with anything that she gets.

She opened the novice package that she had been rewarded with and silently prayed that it was something great. It will also be better if it is some money as she was lacking money at the moment.

[Ding, congratulations host. You have been awarded 10 silver coins and a guardian humanoid robot. For more rewards, keep on working hard.]

This news was enough to make Alayna so excited that sleep wasn't in her mind at all. She looked at the pouch with so much money that her eyes were teary already.

The last time that she held so much money it dwindled very fast as she had to pay for her adoptive father's medical fees and medicines. And to think that all this money belongs to her, she was so excited that she couldn't wait to visit the nearest town for some shopping.

In this world, the currency was more universal which makes it easy for kingdoms to trade with each other. There were copper coins which were the lowest, followed by silver coins and lastly the gold coins.

1,000 copper coins = 1 silver coin

100 silver coins = 1 gold coin

And in villages, 1 silver coin was enough to take care of a family of four to five for a year. So, for one person like her to receive 10 silver coins at once, she was so excited and couldn't wait to buy everything that she had been lacking.

But before she can do that, she needed to check that mission and pray that it wasn't that difficult as she didn't want to fail before she even begins.
