Cultivation Realm Explanation

In the world of "Transmigrated Into the Body of a Chinese Prince Even though I'm Japanese" or TBCP for short, there are 10 cultivation realms. The first two cultivation realms have sub-stages that go from Lv1-Lv8 while the remaining 8 stages go from low, mid, high, and peak.

1. Dam Bursting – In the world of TBCP every human has a hard outer-shell around their dantian that serves to keep the world's spiritual qi from entering their body like how a dam keeps back torrential waves of water. To enter this stage is to use what spiritual energy is already in your dantian to break a hole in that damn allowing an initial burst of qi to flood inside your body before it instinctively places a control valve on that hole. Generally speaking, the more spiritual qi one is able to absorb in this initial burst and subsequently reach higher levels, the more talent that person possesses compared to their peers in the same environment. For example, those lacking any talent wouldn't even reach the first Lvl of Dam Bursting with that initial flood of spiritual qi. Whereas to be considered a genius, one must be able to reach at least the peak of the 2nd level.

2. Qi Collection – Whereas Dam Bursting can be compared to filling 8 buckets of water, the second cultivation realm is akin to filling 8 tanks of air but is of course vastly more challenging. The idea is to fill each tank with air (aka spiritual qi) and the more air the better up until the point of bursting. If one tank bursts…. then all the previously filled tanks will burst, and the more tanks that burst, the more damage it will cause to the dantian.

3. Mist Formation – In the third stage you take the qi collected in a liquid state in Dam Bursting, the gaseous qi from Qi Collection, spiritual qi from the environment around you as a sort of bonding agent, and mix them all together to eventually create a batch of spiritual mist with each subsequent batch requiring more of the "bonding agent" to create it. Each batch of mist is then used to coat the head, the two arms, the upper body, the lower body, and the two legs like how one would spray fertilizer over their plants. By doing so, one strengthens the muscles and meridians in that particular body part a great deal while the other parts get a small boost in stats. Generalized cultivation techniques would spread each batch of mist all over the body while more specialized techniques require multiple batches of mist to strengthen a particular body part. To put it in gaming terms…. think of the batches of mists like stat points. Putting a batch of mist on the legs increases agility and allows you to run faster, putting a batch on your lower body increases your dexterity allowing you to perform more acrobatic moves, etc.
