7 Chapter 7

(AN: Quick disclaimer, I slightly changed MC ability to heal. Instead of using Light or biokenesis, he will use his water element to heal. I should've done this from the start so apologies. I will be taking more reference from the Avatar but he will still unlock new elements in the future so don't worry.)

Kazuki and Momo were in the training building as they were chosen to be villains for this trial.

"Kazuki, since you said you would focus more on offense, then I'll be left with the defensive side of the things. My quirk is really useful when it comes to support."

Momo was the first to devise a plan.

Kazuki nodded and asked, "Momo, can you make a device that can locate their locations?"

Momo slightly blushed. She didn't expect Kazuki to call her by her given name.

Kazuki wasn't really thinking about that kind of stuff. He only called her by her first name since he was more used to the customs from overseas and Yaoyorozu was a bit of a mouthful.

Momo shook her head. It wasn't time to be thinking about that kind of stuff.

"Yes."

Momo then made a device that tracked living things via their heartbeat. She then showed the screen to Kazuki.

Kazuki was quite impressed, 'This girl is really knowledgeable.'

On the screen of the device, there were two blinking dots on the layout that looked to be this building.

Since the match hadn't started, they were the only ones inside this building.

"The radius on it isn't that big but it's the only thing I can manage for now," Momo was very humble. She did something amazing that can be accomplished with hard work but still decided she needed to improve.

Kazuki nodded, "Now can you barricade the door and all of the windows except for that one?." He pointed to the window closest to him.

Momo complied and quickly started barricading the door and windows thanks to her quirk that allowed her to create anything.

When she was done, she turned to Kazuki.

"What will you do now?"

Kazuki walked to the only window that wasn't barricaded, "Since we're on the fifth floor, I'm going to wait and trap them on one floor so they won't be able to advance toward the bomb we're protecting."

Momo was amazed but still had some doubts.

"But, what if their quirks have a way to counter your plan?"

"Then we'll just think of a different plan. But I'm pretty sure it won't come to that." Kazuki spoke with confidence.

Their opponents were Ashido Mina and Aoyama Yuga.

Kazuki knew how his opponent's quirk worked so they really couldn't counter him. Momo had some idea of how their quirks were used but she still didn't have enough information.

All she could do was wait and see if Kazuki spoke the truth. But in her head, she was still thinking of different plans if things went south.

A moment later, a high bell rang that signified the start of the match.

Kazuki looked at the device Momo had created and waited for the combatants to enter the building.

'I need to become stronger so I can upgrade my senses and awareness through my Elements. I don't like relying on someone else...' Kazuki thought to himself as he waited.

A couple of seconds later, two dots appeared on the device.

"They entered through the second floor."

Momo was already prepared as she had made a staff, just in case.

Kazuki extended his hand outside the building and started using his Fire element.

His Fire traveled across the building with perfect control and started circling the second floor.

With Mina Ashido and Aoyama Yuga.

Mina had just finished sliding through the confide spaces with her acid quirk while Aoyama was panicking since some acid had landed in his cape and was slightly melting.

Mina was laughing a bit but she still managed to apologize.

"Pfft...sorry, sorry."

"My beautiful cape is being ruined!" Aoyama was in disarray.

"Calm down, big baby. It could always be repaired." Mina said jokingly.

Unknowing to them, they had started to sweat.

"We should keep moving. We have to win after all." Mina said eagerly while walking down their original path.

Aoyama was deflated but still followed while holding his cape which had a slight tear.

As they were walking, they started to sweat more and their breathing became a little haggard.

Mina swiped the sweat off her forehead while fanning herself with her hands.

"Why is so hot in here!" She complained.

Aoyama was the same and even used his cape to fan himself.

Just as she said that; an unbearable wind of heat came flowing through their bodies.

It was so unbearable that they had fallen to their knees while breathing heavily.

Mina figured out this was part of the villains doing so she turned toward Aoyama and said with a haggard breath.

"Aoyama!...*Huff*...Use your naval laser... to make a whole outside...*Huff*...I'll use my acid as well..."

Aoyama was in the worst condition. Due to his armor, he was almost at breaking point as the heat hit him the most.

But he mustered his strength and shot his naval laser at the nearest wall.

Mina did the same and shot her acid so she could melt the concrete of the building. They wanted cool air to breathe in.

As their quirks destroyed part of the wall, they started to feel relief. Only for it to disappear as the outside was a hell of flames.

They couldn't see the sky or anything outside the building. Only Kazuki's flames were visible. It was a prison made of fire that couldn't be broken out of.

Mina and Aoyama couldn't handle the heat anymore as the temperature kept rising. Soon after, their bodies fell over as they passed out from the heat.

In the surveillance room, everyone was quiet.

They all just witnessed the power Kazuki was capable of.

The silence broke as the All Might spoke into a microphone that connected to the training building.

"The Villains Win!"

"Akiyama is so strong. His control over his quirk is extraordinary-ribbit." Asui Tsuyu the frog girl spoke.

"That was so awesome!" Kirishima couldn't help and say.

All Might was smiling as usual as he asked his students a question.

"Now, Now, Young Heroes. Do You Know Who Was The MVP of This Match?"

"Akiyama!" Mostly everyone responded at the same time.

All Might coughed, "Well Yes. But do you know why he was the MVP?"

"Because he defeated them both with his awesome quirk!" Kirishima said.

"Because he was cool-headed throughout the whole match," Iida said while raising his hand high.

"Because he and Momo worked well together-ribbit." Tsuyu said with a finger over her mouth.

All Might sweatdropped as he was bombarded with comments on Kazuki. He then cleared his throat.

"Yes, You are all correct! His quick thinking along with his decisiveness to work well with others is what brought this victory! He also embodied the path of villainy as he showed no mercy toward his opponents in this exercise!"

Tokoyami Fumikage, the one with the head of a black bird spoke.

"I probably would've been far worse if I used my Dark Shadow on him."

Mashirao Ojiro, the student with a tail couldn't help and shiver a bit.

"Between Todoroki's ice or Kazuki flames, I don't know what I want to be at the end of."

Bakugo was biting his lip out of frustration as he kept hearing praises about Kazuki. He didn't know if his explosion quirk would've been able to blow those flames away.

Todoroki was clenching his fist. He didn't know why, but he was angry after watching Kazuki's use of flames.

Back with Kazuki.

Kazuki was still on the fifth floor of the building with Momo. He was going to the exit when he heard her say something.

"Akiyama, your quirk is so amazing." She couldn't help and praise him.

Momo thought it would be difficult to defeat Aoyama and Mina. She never liked underestimating her opponents so she was focused on defending at the time.

"You think so?" Kazuki asked while looking at his hands.

In the beginning, he was excited that he could control a superhuman ability and would train for hours on end. But after training his quirk for almost 3 years, he had gotten used to his power. Especially his 4 main Elements.

Kazuki would only get excited and be joyous when he would unlock a new Element from his hard work. He was getting stronger so it was given.

Momo nodded while holding her hands.

Kazuki then suddenly got one good look at her appearance and could help but ask.

"By the way, what made you choose that as your Hero costume?"

In truth, Kazuki was a little wary. He knew the future would change due to his presence, but he has never met Momo before. So how could this change when he's had no interaction with her before.

But by the looks of it, he wasn't complaining. He enjoyed looking at her appearance. He was a guy after all.

Momo became a little startled. Kazuki was just checking her out right now.

She didn't become embarrassed though. Her family was wealthy and had a high status in society. So she would naturally get looks from many people for her family name and her appearance as well.

Momo didn't know how to respond. Although she was used to getting stares, that was in public. Right here, they were the only ones on this floor. So she was a little uncomfortable.

"U-Um, My parents didn't want my costume to be very revealing. Even though I need my exposed skin to maximize the effectiveness of my quirk, my parents were strict with me." She managed to say.

Kazuki was slightly surprised, 'So that's the reason... I really need to stop thinking like this is an anime. These are real people and not just characters behind a screen...'

Kazuki berated himself.

Even though he was thinking about something different, Kazuki was still staring at Momo.

Momo now became awkward. She didn't know what to do as she stood there.

It was until both of them heard a voice from the speakers that Kazuki stopped staring.

"Young Heroes, It's About Time You've Returned." All Might's loud voice could be heard.

"Damm Kazuki, want to stare any harder..." Kaminari's voice could also be heard.

Momo covered her face as she became embarrassed this time. She just remembered there were cameras everywhere that recorded everything but sound.

She didn't know what her classmates were thinking as they saw the feed.

"Shut it, pervert!" Jiro attacked Kaminari with her earphone jacks. She didn't want her friend to keep being embarrassed.

Kaminari's cry for help was the only thing heard before the microphone was turned off.

Kazuki wasn't embarrassed. He was never a shy boy growing up. But he still stopped staring so hard at Momo. He wasn't even doing it on purpose.

"I-I should go help Mina and Aoyama. They're probably waking up by now." Momo couldn't look at him directly. She then left toward the bottom floors.

Even though she was mature for her age, she was still a self-conscious young lady.

Kazuki sighed, "What's this girl thinking..."

He then decided to leave the building and head back toward the surveillance room. There will still be practice battles taking place before the class ended.
