The door of the room burst open and an angry Chen Ruilong came in. Chen Yue knew that he is in trouble just by seeing the current appearance of his grandfather. He stands up and said with a slight smile on his face, "It is good to see you are doing well this days grandfather"

When Chen Ruilong faces his grandson, the worries that he felt all this time suddenly fade away. But thinking about how this grandson of his suddenly disappears in a whole month, his anger came over him as he screams at Chen Yue, "YOU BASTARD DO YOU KNOW HOW WORRIED I WAS WHEN YOU LEFT!! Chen Yue just stood there facing his grandfather. His face was covered by his grandfather's saliva that was coming out while yelling and screaming in front of him. The middle-aged man who was also in the room was in the corner trying to disappear. He was so scared that he almost turned into a wall.

After Chen Yue and his grandfather left, the news of Chen Yue's return suddenly spread throughout the whole capital. The main cause of the chaos which instilled fear not only to the commoners but also to the nobles was now back to his family. They all sigh in relief as they all know that the chaos has finally ended.

"Brother Chen!!" Chen Yue was greeted by Mei Yin who came running towards him. She was wearing a beautiful red dress, and in her hair was a phoenix hair clip. Chen Yue smiled and opened his arms to welcome the running Mei Yin.

Mei Yin who was running towards her brother Chen immediately turned red when she saw him opens his arms. Without a second thought, she dived into his embrace and hugged him tightly. Because their height is almost just the same with Chen Yue slightly taller. Mei Yin could feel the warm breath of her brother Chen in her ears. Her whole body shuddered as she lay closely on his arms.

"Yin'er did you miss me?" witnessing how Mei Yin acts in front of him. He knew that she was worried about him when he was gone in this month.

"Unn" Mei Yin hearing the intimate voice of her brother Chen, nodded her head softly. She looked up with her blurry eyes and stare at his face as if she was trying to etch his face in her mind.

"Ehem" while Chen Yue and Mei Yin were immersed in their own world. Chen Ruilong cleared his throat, now he knew the reason why Mei Yin acted that way when the engagement between Chen Yue and the second princess circulate around the capital. It seems that Mei Yin has a feeling for his grandson which he only knows right now.

Chen Yue and Mei Yin immediately released each other when they heard the old man cleared his throat. Although Chen Yue didn't feel embarrassed about it, Mei Yin does. She hangs her face down which were glowing bright red.

"If you guys wanted to hug each other, please don't do it in front of our house. Didn't you notice, there are people watching around the two of you. I believe this will definitely spread in the whole capital" Grandpa Chen then glanced at Chen Yue and said, "Come to my study later, we will talk about something"

Watching Grandpa Chen walk away, Mei Yin look around her and saw a small crowd already gathered around them. She stretches her small hands and nudges Chen Yue on his clothes. Seeing the embarrassed action of Mei Yin, Chen Yue smiled and hold her small hands. He then pulls her and follows behind his grandfather.

Upon returning to the mansion, Chen Yue spends some time with Mei Yin. It was clear while they were talking that Mei Yin is displeased about something. When Chen Yue asked what is making her mood that sour. She said that it was because of his engagement with the second princess. Listening to her complaints, Chen Yue just smile and let her continue.

After a couple of hours talking with Mei Yin, Chen Yue goes to his grandfather's study room. When he enters the room, his grandfather was holding a book and reading it. Noticing that Chen Yue was there, Chen Ruilong put down the book and motion his hand to Chen Yue to sit.

"Grandfather, what do you want to talk about?" Chen Yue asked noticing that his grandfather was only staring at him and not saying anything.

Chen Ruilong wake up from his stupor and said, "You manage to become a Qi condensation stage 1 in this one month that you were gone. Although I'm glad about this, it still shows your lack of talent in cultivation. If you only have the same talent at that little lass Mei Yin, that would be good" his grandfather release a sigh as he felt helpless about Chen Yue's talent in cultivation.

"I believe you already know about your engagement with the second princess" Chen Yue nodded his head towards his grandfather indicating that he already knew about it.

If you want I can just ask the emperor to break the engagement as he already said in the beginning that I can do that"
