Long Qi

Inside the residence of the second princess in the imperial palace. The second princess, Long Qi is currently in a bad mood. The reason she was this was because of the engagement between her and Chen Yue who was known as the number one trash on the capital. She couldn't help but curse inside her breath everytime she thought about it.

*knock*

*knock*

"Second princess I have an important news" Long Qi suddenly frowned when she heard a voice outside the door. She directed her gaze towards the door and said, "Come in"

A beautiful young servant opens the door and came in. She was Rong Rong the personal maidservant of the Long Qi. When Rong Rong saw the frown on the second princess face, her heartbeat quickens. She bow respectfully and said, "Second princess I have a news, the young master of the Chen family, Chen Yue has returned in the capital. He is currently at their residence right now"

When Long Qi heard what Rong Rong just said, her expression drastically changes. Just the mention of the name Chen Yue already brought disgust towards her face. Her eyes turned cold and said, "Prepare a carriage for me. We will visit the Chen family now"

"Yes second princess" Rong Rong immediately ran out of the room after nodding her head. As she had been always beside the second princess since she was young, she knew that the second princess will immediately think of visiting as soon as she heard the news of Chen Yue's return. So before she report to the second princess, she already prepared a carriage for her.

Chen Family

Chen Yue was now walking in their family compound. Behind him was the scared Xiao Ke still had her head lowered afraid to look up. In the past month that he was gone, he thought that at least the fear in Xiao Ke's heart would lessen even just for a bit. But it seems that nothing has ever change and she was still the same as before.

While walking in their compound, Chen Yue eventually arrived at the courtyard. At the center of the courtyard, Mei Yin was holding a slim sword practicing her sword techniques. In every move she takes, her fiery red hair would sway and dance into the air. Noticing someone was there, Mei Yin glance at his direction and revealed a beautiful smile.

"Brother Chen what are you doing here? Do you also want to practice?" Mei Yin run towards Chen Yue and asked gently. Her forehead is covered in sweat and her red clothes were sticking at her skin because of sweat.

Staring at Mei Yin right now, Chen Yue was speechless. Her sweaty appearance didn't reduce her beauty even a little bit. It even makes her more attractive and alluring at the same time. He could even smell the intoxicating fragrance coming out of her body. His hear beats rapidly as he stares intently at her figure.

"B...brother Chen please don't stare at me too much. It is making me feel embarrassed" although she was feeling shy and her face is red. Mei Yin still felt quite happy and satisfied inside her heart. She had been waiting for this moment to come. The moment when her Brother Chen would take notice of her.

"Oh, ha ha ha sorry about that. I just though that you look very beautiful" Chen Yue laugh and said with a straight face. There was no embarrassment on his face, because there is no need to be feel embarrassed about. What he said was true and she indeed look really beautiful. Especially right now.

When Mei Yin heard what Chen Yue said, she felt her head stopped working. She stood there dumbly and the hand holding her sword trembles and the sword fell to the ground. The happiness she was feeling in her heart already reach her head and her whole face and neck turned extremely red. Smoke can already be seen coming out of her head.

"Young master Chen, your grandfather is calling you. The second princess arrived and wants to see you" the silent atmosphere was destroyed when a guard came in reporting.

Chen Yue was shocked when he heard that the second princess wanted to see him. But then he remembered about his engagement with her and understood the reason on why she was here. Chen Yue look at Mei Yin and said, "Yin'er I will be going for now. You just continue your practice"

When Mei Yin heard what the guard said, her eyes burned into a fiery light. The woman she hated the most had come here and wanted to see her Brother Chen. Inside her heart, she already claimed her Brother Chen as her partner, and that will never change. So when she saw Chen Yue, turn around to leave she said, "Brother Chen can I follow you"

Chen Yue was slightly surprised by Mei Yin's request, but after thinking for a moment he nodded his head and agreed to her. "Alright, you can come"

Mei Yin beamed in happiness when Chen Yue agreed. She stand beside him and they return side by side.

Inside the Chen Family mansion, the second princess Long Qi were sitting in a chair with a frown on her beautiful face. In front of her was old general Chen who were smilingly drinking a cup of tea. Rong Rong who were standing behind the second princess has a helpless smile on her face.

After several minutes, the door opened and Chen Yue came in with Mei Yin beside him. When Chen Yue came in, he instantly saw a beautiful young lady sitting in front of his grandfather. He immediately realize that this young lady is the second princess. Although he agreed that she was extremely beautiful the same as Mei Yin, the air surrounding the second princess seems cold. Chen Yue then went beside his grandfather and sit.

Mei Yin who was beside Chen Yue already took her seat beside Chen Yue. Then she stares at the second princess who was glaring at Chen Yue with cold ice look. Seeing her eyes, Mei Yin knew that the second princess didn't like her brother Chen so she heave a sigh of relief. But even so, she still feel angry just by staring at the second princess. 'Although you are beautiful, just by looking at you I know that your attitude is not great. Brother Chen will definitely not fall for someone like you'

"So you are Chen Yue, my fiancee" Long Qi stares at Chen Yue with disdain in her eyes. It was clear and evident that she was looking down at this fiancee of hers, "Just because we are engage doesn't mean that I like you. You must know that it was only my father who agreed on this. I will never marry a man as useless as you"

When the second princess talk, she never put anyone in her eyes. Even Chen Ruilong who was casually sitting there was surprised by her words. She was not even putting him in her eyes as she insult his grandson in front of him. His expression immediately darkens and said, "Second princess although I know that you didn't like my grandson must you ever said those words in front of me. Do you not even put this old man in your eyes?"

"Old general Chen, everyone in the capital knows who your grandson is, and what evil deeds he committed. Also, his talent is just trash, if not for your face, do you think I will even come here to talk. I am only here to said one thing, I want my engagement with him to be broken" her words are vicious and even Mei Yin was angered by it.

"Do you think brother Chen likes a woman like you!!" Mei Yin stands up and pointed her finger towards the second princess. Her anger already reach the heavens as her face were red in rage and her chest were heaving up and down.

"Yin'er calm yourself and sit down" Chen Yue said to Mei Yin which nodded her head. Then he stares at the second princess and said, "I never thought that the genius second princess were like this. If I only know your attitude were this bad, i would have already said to my grandfather to break this engagement earlier. But now that you are here, and you are not even giving face to our Chen family, if I didn't agreed to your request you will just create more troubles here. Just make sure you won't regret everything you've done here in the future. Whether it was the breaking of the engagement, of you disrespecting my Chen family"

"Hmmp, do you think that would happen? Regret? You must be dreaming! The breaking of this engagement is the happiest thing that happens in my life!" although the second princess don't know why, but she felt that something is gonna happen in the near future. But even so, she felt extremely happy with the outcome of her visit.

"Grandfather just agree to her and break the engagement" Chen Yue said as he stand up and leave. Mei Yin looking at his leaving back give one angry glance at the second princess before following behind him.

"Okay" old general Chen breathe heavily and agreed. The engagement between his grandson and the second princess didn't even last even a month and it was already broken. But still he felt that it has something about the sudden changes that happened on his grandson. Although he doesn't know what exactly happened after almost being killed in the assassination attempt, he was still glad that his grandson changed.

"Second princess, I will go to the palace later to talk to his majesty about this. So please leave" although old general Chen's expression were full of smiles. The tone on his voice clearly showes his displeasure towards the second princess.

The second princess just stood up and leave with Rong Rong following behind her.
