Hadrix Fey

POV (Ezra)

...

Looking at my closet, I think about what to wear, there's not much variety. So I choose some black cropped pants and a white shirt and pair them with some black shoes.

Simple but elegant.

Now I have to meet my father, and with the memories of his body, I know a little about my father's personality.

He is a strict and cold guy, he only smiles when he achieves something amazing or when my mother is around. But that doesn't mean he's bad, he treats me very well.

As I walk through the halls, I see some fancy paintings that go very well with the modern house.

A few minutes later I was standing outside my father's office. My black hair was slicked back and a couple of strands were falling to the side of my face, I was wearing a white shirt with a couple of unbuttoned buttons leaving most of my chest exposed.

Knocking three times, I waited exactly three seconds before the door opened silently before me. Standing in front of me was a man with short black hair, with black eyes that looked seriously at everything.

Remembering why I came here, I looked at the figure sitting behind the desk. Hadrix Fey and my father in this new world, sat there doing paperwork without even bothering to look up.

A few seconds later, he slowly looked up and put down his pen.

"Anything you need, son?" He asked me as he was still standing there.

I just stood there. Taking a deep breath, I start thinking about every word I'm about to say to him.

Looking my father in the eyes, erect and proud like a true Fey, I began confidently, "Father, I want you to appoint me an assistant. Also, I want to start a dream of mine."

I paused before continuing," I want an assistant who could possibly cover all areas."

Thinking that I would need an assistant who can literally cover all areas, both administrative, and social, and can even handle the more shady jobs.

"I also want to move to Los Angeles, I can finish high school there. I would also like to have my own black card, for all my needs."

A black card is the most exclusive card on the market, as it is aimed at a group of customers who have a high socio-economic level (status, high income).

The black card provides total exclusivity and tranquility anywhere in the world to the customer, some benefits of this card are, acceptance of the card anywhere in the world, have quota ranging from 100 million to 1 billion dollars, access to VIP lounges in international airports, membership and free admission to clubs, theaters, cinemas, among other establishments.

This card will do me a lot of good, more than anything else I need the money.

After I finished, I looked at my father and waited for his response.

"Interesting." He began, leaning back in his chair "Now tell me why should I waste my time helping you?"

Well, at least he's not rejecting me outright.

"Father" I began. Without letting any emotion enter my voice. "I know you see me as the future heir, and in the last week, I have proven my worth and my genius in all the tasks you assigned me. But being a mere heir to one of the largest organizations in the underworld and the great empire my mother built, I don't like it. I want to create something just as big with my own hands if possible" Pausing for a second to catch his breath. "Let me try me 5 years... no, 3 years is enough for me to make a name for myself and create one of the biggest luxury clothing companies. I also want to follow my dream of being a great artist, you know I love music." Finishing my statement I remained silent and waited for my father's decision.

There followed a few minutes of a staring contest between my father and I, and thanks to my old childhood I was a master at it. I would not be defeated so easily.

A faint chuckle was heard coming from my father as he closed his eyes and took a deep breath when he opened his eyes again...

Death...

An immense pressure of what felt like death came rushing towards me.

I couldn't breathe, I felt like I was suffocating, the world was going dark, I felt like I was really going to die any second, or maybe... I already was, my mind just hadn't realized the fact yet.

All I could see were those cold blue eyes staring at me.

It had to be a test. My breathing was getting rougher.

My father wouldn't kill me. Or... would he? The world began to fade and go black.

Shit! He's going to kill me! I began to panic.

No! What little will I had left fought back.

I will not die again! Slowly the world came back into focus.

Still standing proudly in front of my father's desk, a bead of sweat trickled down my cheek.

By hook or by crook, I will become the epitome of strength in this world. My breathing slowly became steady.

Looking into his cold blue eyes once again, I could see for a brief moment a faint glimmer of something... Pride, happiness, and worry. I couldn't tell, but as soon as it came, it disappeared again.

Watching as my father began to smile slightly, I breathed a sigh of relief.

"I will appoint you a very capable assistant, she will help you with practically everything, you will not find another person as capable as her. With your new assistant, I will also give you a black card, and you can leave tomorrow for Los Angeles." After saying that, he focused again on the papers on his desk.

I breathe a sigh of relief once again, and as I am about to close the door to leave I hear my father's voice again.

"Remember you are a Fey, and we if we want something, we take it by hook or by crook."

Letting out a laugh I say, "I'll keep that in mind father" and I close the door, and head to my room to get all the things ready for my trip to Los Angeles.
