Helm Hammer-Hand and Suladan the immortal - Arc rise of the light kingdom

*******

-Talion-

Once I have isolated myself, I take the Palantiri out of my pouch and infuse magic into it to use it. The Palantiri is somewhat special, to use it I have to think of something specific, be it a destination, a person or a place. Moreover, it requires a lot of energy to work and its use drains my magic quickly.

Looking at this stone, I concentrate on the nazgûls, the ring wraiths. I need their precise locations, I must eliminate them and each of them is a force to be recognized, so I must find them separately to get rid of them. After some time, the stone finally shows me each nazgûl, one after the other.

I see that out of the nine nazgûls, seven have stayed in Minas Morgul, but two are present in the region of Seregost, a cold region in the north-east of Mordor.

With this destination in mind, I set off.

*******

Seregost, a fortress located in the mountains of the north east of Mordor. This fortress is built to protect the Mithram Gap. This is a cold, icy region, where many orcs live, and I estimate their strength to be superior to their counterparts, especially Nurn, living in a cold environment like this, they have to get used to it and are therefore probably stronger than usual.

This region includes icy lakes, cold and snowy summits, it's a very contrasted region with Gorgoroth, where it's permanently hot. There are also different species of interesting creatures, including caragor with dense and white fur that hunt in these mountains or goats that are rarer and live at high altitudes.

In this region is the main fortress of the north of Mordor, which is connected by a large road with Barad-dur, the main fortress of Sauron. It also connects by a great road with the allied countries of the east of Mordor. It allows commercial access and the rapid movement of allied troops. It is a kind of gateway that gives access to Mordor via the eastern plains.

It is an important stronghold of Mordor, and I plan in the future to make it mine.

But for the moment I am not in this region for that reason, but to track down two Nazgûls.

Helm Hammerhand and Suladan the immortal, two powerful nazgûls, fallen men with great powers. Their rings were given by Sauron himself in the form of Annatar, lord of gifts.

Arrived at Seregost, it doesn't take me long to detect the evil energy of the nazgûls.

They are not far from an icy lake, and it is difficult to determine the reason of their presence, but that does not have any real importance.

Without further ado, I head towards their location. When I arrive at the frozen lake, I immediately see the Nazgûls standing on the frozen lake, they are preparing a kind of ritual and concentrating their black magic in a black circle. While I determine a plan of attack, I am quickly surprised, they manage to detect me and turn to me before teleporting near me.

"Ranger, you will become one of us, it is futile to resist, join us, hand over the Palantiri" says Helm Hammerhand in a deep voice, followed by Suladan who continues

"We know he is with you, we feel him, we feel his presence, give him to us and we will do no harm to the woman".

'Idril, are they talking about Idril? No, she is safe, it is surely not their objective' without understanding why, and although their speech is completely illogical, I start to worry, Idril is important to me, she is my second and I need her. So I contact her without waiting.

"Idril, IDRIL, are you okay?" then a few seconds later, I hear her soft voice coming from the ring.

"Huh? Talion, yes, I'm fine, what's going on? Are you in trouble? Tell me where you are, I'm preparing the army" Hearing Idril's voice, I'm immediately relieved without really understanding why, I then turn to the nazguls and answer Idril.

"No, it's nothing, don't worry"

" Ok, I finish the preparations and we see ourselves in Nurn " Idril answers before I put an end to the communication, then turning towards the nazgûls a wave of heat takes me, seeing them daring to look down on me, they dare to threaten me, they are just lowly servants who did not have the mental strength to refuse the control of a pathetic man, I am enraged.

"You, servants of evil, you dare to threaten me I see, very well, however you will not leave here alive, Sauron will have to find two new puppets" I boast before running at full speed to one, weapon in hand.

Striking at very high speed several times, the nazgûls parries the blows, then disappears, the other nazgûls emerges behind me with an hammer and strikes in full power on my back trying to destabilize me, his hammer overflowing with black magic.

I teleport behind him to avoid the blow and hit him once in the back, before he disappears again leaving room for the other one who goes into a frenzy, swinging his sword in quick succession.

But it is without counting on my dexterity, I manage to return the blows easily, then taking advantage of a light pause in its movement, I jump back, bend my bow and shoot in the feet of the Nazgûls who is frozen on the spot.

Using {Spectral Assassinations} I create two doubles that impale the Nazgûls on each side causing him to scream in pain. Trying to finish this first nazgûls, I appear in front of him ready to seize him and dominate him.

But the second one prevents me from doing so, hitting me heavily and forcing me to dodge him, his hammer grazing me by a few millimeters, this diversion leaves time for the injured nazgûls to withdraw to his ally's side.

The two side by side try to talk with me again, but I don't care about their vain manipulation and I appear in front of them while pushing great quantities of magic in my hands that I redirect in the ground in a maddening crash.

This has the effect of freezing the two Nazgûls on the spot who are struggling with the ice using their black magic. One of them uses his power and makes ghouls appear which run towards my direction. The other one supports him by firing a black magic spell, trying to hit me from a distance.

I simply dodge their attack by jumping in the air, then I shoot arrows at the ghouls killing them before running towards the nazgûls again. Seeing me coming at high speed the nazgûls strike with their weapons loaded with black magic in my direction anticipating my movement and releasing a powerful shock wave.

I break each shockwave with my sword flying in the air and then hit the nazgûls with the same power as before freezing them once again, they were about to free themselves.

Then I teleport behind the two and pierce them with my blade in quick succession. Here I try a risky move, I can't afford to absorb one after the other, if the nazgûls gets free and hits me while absorbing the other, it could be fatal.

But, if I absorb both at the same time, they might be powerful enough to resist. But I remain confident in myself and take the gamble anyway, so I put my hands on each one and shout "Submit!" in a spectral voice.

-Third POV-

Following this word and the beginning of the absorption, a strange meteorological phenomenon occurs, the clouds turn on themselves more and more quickly and form a vortex in the sky. From this vortex black and white lightning appears and hits the ground frequently.

The sky darkens and night drives out the day, the ever present sun cannot light up the darkness of the sky. All the evil energy contained in each nazgûls directly affects the environment, the ice gains a black tint while the plants rot. Small animals living in the area flee the zone.

Talion absorbing the two nazgûls sees his powers increase visibly, he becomes more powerful, his reserves of magic grow, his strength increases tenfold, new knowledge appears in his brain, diverse use of magic, new ways of fighting, Suladan's sword art become his, refining his own skills. The knowledge of Helm's hammer expands his knowledge. He saw their lives, their past, their decline under the power of the ring, the animosity that inhabits them.

After a while, the shaking Nazgûls collapse on themselves and gradually disappear, leaving behind a Talion stronger than ever. With their disappearance, the weather phenomenon fades away, giving way to a clear sky, however marks of the conflict remain and will remain in the region for ages to come.
