"DON'T MAKE ME SAY IT AGAIN, PUT YOUR HANDS UP IN THE AIR AND FACE YOUR BACK TOWARDS US, IF YOU DON'T COMPLY THEN WE ARE AUTHORISED TO SHOOT!" Jiang Yixin shouted into the megaphone.

Jiang Yixin was recently tipped off that a suspicious figure had recently kidnapped the Princess of the Leighton family near one of the restaurants she would usually dine at, and although she was initially surprised that a Princess had been kidnapped in China since this didn't happen during her previous life, she knew that this was an extremely severe case nevertheless, so she hurriedly mobilized the entire police force and got into contact with some state authorities in order to confirm it.

When she first arrived and saw the masked figure repeatedly beating up Ye Fan, she was happy and even hoped for the masked figure to finish Ye Fan off, however after seeing and confirming that the Princess had indeed been kidnapped, she knew that she couldn't wait any longer and had to rescue back the Princess as soon as possible.

If they manage to fail to rescue the Princess back, then there would be a ton of diplomatic problems and conflicts between China and one of the royal families in the western world, which will not only cause a lot of extra problems for China itself, but as well as indirectly harm the Kuangge family.

"..." Ronald didn't say anything but raised both of his hands in the air while slowly turning his back towards Jiang Yixin while eyeing out the Princess who was still shivering in fear staring at Ronald.

"Now slowly step back and move closer to us, and don't make any sudden movements or else we'll shoot." Jiang Yixin wanted to apprehend the masked figure and neutralize the threat before rushing over to the Princess's side.

However, even though Jiang Yixin ordered the masked figure to slowly step back to move closer to them, the masked figure still stood at his exact location and didn't bother even slightly moving.

"Listen to what she is telling you to do and mo- FUCK SHOOT HIM!" Before one of the other officers could finish his sentence, the masked figure suddenly dashed forward straight towards Princess Sophia leaving behind a trail of his afterimages.

And before any of the police officers could even react fast enough, the masked figure had already managed to get right behind her and held her up right in front of him.

"Stop! Don't shoot!" Jiang Yixin was absolutely shocked by the masked figure's speed and she hurriedly shouted to all of the police officers.

Although she had figured that the masked figure was incredibly powerful just by the fact that he could manage to beat Ye Fan to a bloody pulp, she had assumed that the masked figure would've still complied with her orders since he had a ton of pistols, semi-automatics, and even some automatic weapons pointed at him.

But clearly with the speed he possesses, she knew that it would be nearly impossible to shoot him down.

'Is this the butterfly effect I've heard of?' Jiang Yixin looked disdainfully at Ye Fan who was currently still currently conscious on the ground from the corner of her eyes, and couldn't help but think to herself.

She knew that in her previous life, Ye Fan had not even once suffered ever since he had came back to China, and not only that but he had completely decimated anything and anyone who tried to block his path.

But now in this life, not even two weeks ever since Ye Fan had came back from overseas, he's been completely beaten up and has been on the verge of dying twice now.

Obviously, although Jiang Yixin was happy about this since she knew that he wouldn't be able to do anything to Ronald, she still couldn't help but think to herself who and where this masked figure had been in the previous life.

However, even though she was curious about what the objective of the masked figure was, she knew that she had to prioritize saving the Princess first.

"If you don't tell your comrades to move out of the way right now, then the Princess gets it." Ronald grabbed a broken piece of shattered glass on the ground and held it up against the Princess's neck.

Although Ronald knew that he could easily take on the entire team of police officers right now, he wanted to show them how dire the situation was.

All of the police officers didn't know what to do, and slowly turned their heads to Jiang Yixin awaiting for her next orders.

"We promise to not chase after you and let you walk away from the current situation right now, however you have to hand over the Princess first." Jiang Yixin made a deal to the masked figure, she knew that even if she wanted to apprehend the masked figure now, it was going to be nearly impossible, and besides, if possible she didn't want to cause too much bloodshed anyways.

"Walk away? Oh please, do you really think I'm concerned about getting hit by some bullet? My only goal here is to finish the job that my client gave to me."

"What does your client want from the Leighton family?" Jiang Yixin knew that she had just gotten valuable intel from the masked man, there was clearly a force that had enmity against the Leighton family and decided to hire the masked man in order to kidnap the Princess of the Leighton family and have a leverage against them.

"I don't know and I don't care, however it's pretty obvious that you guys don't plan on letting me go unless if I give up the Princess first, so it seems like I have no other choice..." Ronald then quickly lifted the Princess up and placed her over his shoulders while gripping her legs firmly so she doesn't accidentally fall off.

Afterwards, Ronald quickly dashed towards the group of officers while giving the police officers a chance to see his movement.

The reason why he had decided to slow down his movement was because he wanted to verify something.

Ronald wanted to see how much they valued the Princess's life, and he knew that if they were to start shooting at him, there was a significant chance that one of the bullets would accidentally hit the Princess as well.

However, with that being said, if the police actually decides to shoot at him and somehow a bullet manages to successfully hit him, it wouldn't harm him anyways.

"GUYS DON'T SHOOT! THE PRINCESS IS ON HIS SHOULDER! USE YOUR STUN GUNS TO NEUTRALIZE HIM!" Jiang Yixin knew that if they start shooting at the masked figure, there was going to be a great chance that they'll accidentally hit the Princess as well, so she quickly ordered everyone to pull out the stun guns, fully knowing that a stun gun won't be able to neutralize him.

However, contrary to what Jiang Yixin had ordered for everyone to do, most of the police officers were completely scared and assumed that the masked figure was going to kill them, and so they started blasting bullets at the masked figure.

After hearing the first gunshot echoed inside of the abandoned factory building, Jiang Yixin knew that some of the officers were more concerned about their lives, and she couldn't blame them for deciding to fire away.

So she could only grit her teeth and hope that the worst case scenario doesn't happen.

While as the masked figure was completely dodging all of the bullets with ease while still moderately heading towards them, just as Jiang Yixin assumed that the worst case scenario was about to happen, what the masked figure did next surprised her.

Just as the masked figure was about a few meters away from the closest police officer, all of a sudden he jumped right over the entire group of officers that was blocking the entrance of the building and went through the window that was above the entrance.

"He's escaped! Why are you guys just standing there completely speechless? Hurry up and notify all of the police officers that are currently surrounding the premises to capture him!" Jiang Yixin was aware that even though the worst case scenario hadn't occur, at least not yet, the Princess was still being held as a hostage and if they don't do something about it quickly, there will be some heavy consequences.

After all of the officers inside the abandoned factory building quickly came back to their senses after witnessing a human being jump over 10 meters, everyone quickly rushed out and gathered information about where the masked figure had wondered off to.

A few minutes later after Jiang Yixin had called an ambulance for Ye Fan although she didn't want to, and had a chat with some of the police officers outside, she concluded that the masked man had ran off into a nearby forest.

'Sorry Ronald, although I was planning on spending some time with you today, for the sake of our future together, I'll have to postpone it until I get everything sorted out.'
