38 Rescue Mission (4)

Right after Ye Fan had arrived to the doors of the abandoned factory buildings, he took a deep breath and collected his thoughts for a moment before sliding the doors open.

The moment he slid open the doors wide open and walked inside the abandoned factory, he saw two figures at the other end of the factory building.

The first figure he saw was completely tied up with duck tape covered over her mouth... that was the one he had to rescue, Princess Sophia.

And the second figure... was a masked man wearing a white baseball cap with both of his hands inside of his pockets.

Although the masked figure was just standing there staring at him and hadn't done anything yet, Ye Fan's gut instinct was screaming at him to run away from him as fast as possible.

This was when Ye Fan confirmed that the masked figure infront of him...

Was indeed a Grandmaster.

"Well well well, look who finally decided to show up in order to play as a hero wannabe, welcome." Ronald slowly started to walk closer to Ye Fan with both of his hands inside of his pocket still after voicing out his words.

"Why did you kidnap the Princess of the Leighton family?" Ye Fan asked in a slightly respectful tone, although Ye Fan was arrogant most of the time, he knew that he couldn't be arrogant right now not only because he was currently in China without any other strong forces backing him up besides Iris, but also because his arrogance came naturally because all of the opponents he's faced before was significantly weaker than him.

If they were supposedly fighting overseas instead, with all of the influence and background Ye Fan had, he knew that he would be able to take down this Grandmaster.

"Why? Well let's just say that someone had paid me an enormous amount of cash in order to lure you out and kill you, Ye Fan." Ronald said in a ominous voice

"What? How much money does someone have to pay in order to convince a Grandmaster to personally go and target someone?" Ye Fan was shocked when he heard that the Grandmaster infront of him was a paid hitman, even Masters alone would cost billions of dollars just to protect someone for a few months, and it would cost even more to hire them to kill an extremely influential figure since both their reputation and life was on the line.

"Well that doesn't really matter now, does it? What only matters right now is that I'm about to kill you." Right after Ronald had finished announcing his words in a mocking tone, he suddenly sprinted lightning fast towards Ye Fan.

"SHI-" Before Ye Fan could even react to the masked man suddenly appearing right infront of him, he felt something like a massive bulldozer suddenly hit his chest, causing him to completely fly away from the opposite direction of the masked man and all the way to the other side of the building.

BOOM!

Right after Ye Fan hit his back against the wall of the abandoned factory, he vomited out a lot of blood from his mouth.

*Huff huff* Coupled with the fact that he was already injured prior to this fight, Ye Fan was extremely tired right now and had trouble breathing, and not only that but he couldn't even feel or move his entire body right now.

'This is how strong Grandmasters are? How is this possible?' Ye Fan looked at the masked figure with fear in his eyes.

Not once has he seen his own teacher from overseas even move as quickly as the masked figure infront of him... and yet his teacher was actually also considered a Grandmaster.

Ye Fan started to subconciously compare the masked man that was currently staring at him menacingly to be up to par with his Sect Master.

"Haha, it seems like the god of war I've kept hearing about overseas was just all talk and no action... how pathetic." Ronald laughed hysterically and slowly started to walk menacingly towards Ye Fan's direction again.

'FUCK! COME ON BODY! MOVE!' Ye Fan gritted his teeth and tried his hardest to make his body move, however no matter how hard he tried, it just wouldn't listen.

"Your resistance is futile. Just quietly surrender and accept your fate, then maybe that way I can give you a painless death." After Ronald arrived right infront of Ye Fan again, he formed his hands into a fist.

However, just right before Ronald was about to consecutively punch Ye Fan to make him suffer, Ye Fan's jade pendant started to glow both around his neck and beneath his shirt.

Then afterwards, the glowing jade pendant started to completely heal all of Ye Fan's injuries within a matter of seconds, and then enhanced Ye Fan's strength and his five senses significantly before the glowing jade pendant started to slowly dim away its lights until it returned back to its original state.

Throughout the whole process, Ye Fan was extremely surprised and didn't know how to react, this jade pendant was given to him by his teacher and he was forced to wear it at all times.

At the time, he didn't understand why his teacher forced him to wear the jade pendant at all times, but now he understood why.

Ye Fan could feel that his strength and all five of his senses was upgraded to the extreme, and he knew that he had just reached the realm of a Grandmaster now.

Ronald wasn't surprised by Ye Fan's sudden breakthrough in strength, after all, no matter what kind of dangerous situations the protagonist was in, the protagonist would always come out of the situation completely alive and even stronger than ever.

Stupid plot armor.

"Don't just stand there, where did all of your confidence go? Come at me." Ye Fan said in a mocking tone and gestured the masked man to come at him.

With Ye Fan's unique fighting technique, coupled with the fact that Ye Fan had the strength of a Grandmaster now, he was absolutely confident that he could take down the masked man infront of him now without breaking a sweat.

"I'm not sure how you all of a sudden managed to recover back to full health, however that doesn't change the fact that you're still going to die in my hands." Ronald wanted to sound like a clueless villain who didn't know that the protagonist had just gained a massive power boost.

However, that doesn't change the fact that he's still going to kick Ye Fan's ass.

So Ronald rushed up infront of Ye Fan again, this time slowing down in order for Ye Fan to see his movements and allow Ye Fan to get a hit on him first.

Ye Fan saw an opportunity to get a clean hit on the masked figure's face and didn't let this opportunity go to waste.

BANG!

Right after Ye Fan landed a clean strike on the masked figure's face, Ye Fan thought that the masked figure was going to get knocked back and be completely surprised and awe of his strength.

However, the masked figure didn't even get pushed backed at the slightest and was still standing right infront of Ye Fan.

"How pathetic." Before Ye Fan could even take his fist off of Ronald's mask, Ronald punched him in his stomach, causing Ye Fan to fall down on the floor with both of his hands clutching onto his stomach.

Ronald looked at Ye Fan who was on the floor in complete agony, and couldn't help but shake his head.

'Like I've said before, not even your plot armor will be able to save you from the beating you're about to receive.'
