"Don't make me ask again, someone better tell me what had happened here." Seeing that nobody answered Li Wanruo, she spoke in a harsher tone.
The temperature in the entire auction house decreased by a couple of degrees after hearing Li Wanruo speak up again, but still nobody dared to speak up and only secretly glared at Ronald while blaming him for the trouble he's caused in the auction house.
"Miss Wanruo, I can explain. So what happened was-" Before Ye Fan could start explaining what had happened, he was suddenly interrupted.
"Shut up, did I ask you?" Li Wanruo was giving Ye Fan a cold death glare which looked as if she wanted him to disappear completely from her sights.
Ye Fan was stunned, didn't she just ask for someone to explain it to her?
Why is it that the moment he decided to speak up, Li Wanruo looked at him as if she had encountered an enemy that held a grudge for throughout her entire life?
Even though he knew about Li Wanruo's overall attitude towards almost everyone she has interacted with her entire life from the information he collected about her, he was pretty sure she wouldn't be this harsh on someone she just met.
Everyone else currently present at the auction house seemed like they had been used to it already, after all it was Li Wanruo they're talking about here.
"You, tell me what's going on here." Li Wanruo pointed at Iris who she knew was disguised as a maid. She wanted to ask Iris what had happened in order to get her to speak up first and then counterattack her statement and show Ronald how cruel Iris truly is.
Li Wanruo also didn't want to show or let Ronald see her cruel side, so she could only deal with Iris this way.
"I accidentally spilled water on this gentleman after I slipped and fell down. I'm the one at fault here, not him. I'm sorry Miss Wanruo, but if you want to blame someone, please blame me instead!" Iris hurriedly explained and bowed her head towards Ronald.
Even though she was considered one of the strongest killers overseas, she was relatively weaker compared to Li Wanruo in a direct confrontation at the moment.
She had been rebirthed back just yesterday and didn't have any time to start cultivating yet, and she was aware that Li Wanruo had a short temperament, so all she could do at the moment was to take the blame for Ronald and hope that the storm can pass before anything major happens.
Everyone in the auction house witnessing this scene unfold including Ronald and Ye Fan was stunned.
Even if she had accidentally tripped and fell, Ronald was clearly bullying and harassing the maid, shouldn't she at least try and defend herself, but not only did she not do that, but she also stood up for him?
Ye Fan on the other hand didn't understand, this wasn't what they had originally planned out beforehand, why is she making it sound like Ronald was the victim here?
Ronald was the most stunned out of everyone in this auction hall, he was well damn sure that this wasn't what happened in the original plot.
'NO! I SHOULD'VE SEEN IT COMING! WHICH BASTARD CAUSED THE PLOT TO FUCK UP THIS TIME?' Ronald was completely enraged, how come the plot keeps deviating time and time again? There definitely has to be an outside source or third party that's messing with him, but even if he wanted to think about who or what was causing it to deviate, that's not what he should be worrying about right now.
His biggest concern at the moment was how he was going to be able to reverse this situation and make it so he seemed liked the bad guy and make the plot restore back to its original state.
Suddenly, Ronald realized something, although the situation may seem dire for him at the moment, as long as he ends up provoking Li Wanruo and making her hate him right now, wouldn't he eventually complete his goal of pulling hatred from the heroines, put Ye Fan under the spotlight, and get kicked out from the auction house?
Yes, how did he have not think about that before?
Since Li Wanruo came out much earlier than intended, couldn't he just finish this plot right here and now?
'Hahaha, even though the plot has became a bit weird I can leave this shitty place much earlier now.' Ronald patted himself in the back, not only will he end up fixing the plot, but he can also end it much faster and go home without having to lounge lazily in the auction house.
The plot going slightly astray for once actually ended up benefiting him.
"I don't care if this lowly maid apologizes infront of me, however I still want her to pay the full price for my suit, and as for you Miss Wanruo, how dare you manage your staffs like this?"
Just as everyone thought it couldn't get any worse, after hearing Ronald's remarks, everyone became even more extremely horrified.
Although everyone usually made fun of Ronald for being a complete idiot, has he actually gone completely nuts?
Does he perhaps need to go see a mental institution?
Not only had he caused trouble inside of the auction house, but also dared to scold Li Wanruo on the way she manages her staffs?
Maybe if Ronald had offended anyone else, it would've been okay, but he clearly offended the wrong person today.
Perhaps maybe they were going to actually witness Ronald get executed right infront of the public infront of their very own eyes.
Iris, however, was clenching her fist to the point where it looked like the bones in her knuckles were popping out and she couldn't help but become extremely nervous and worried, not to herself, but to Ronald.
However even through all that, she still couldn't help but think to herself how kind Ronald truly was.
Iris knew that the only reason Ronald acted like this to begin with was because he wanted Li Wanruo to think that he was a villain in order for him to take the blame for her instead.
Even though Iris knew Ronald was strong, she doesn't know how strong Ronald currently is right now in this life, and so she had a determined look and slowly moved her hand over to the handle of one of the knife she had in between her stockings while secretly glaring at Li Wanruo.
Even if she ends up sacrificing herself and ends up getting killed along the process, she has to make sure with absolute certainty that Ronald makes it out of this auction house and back to his house alive.
However, just before anything serious started to occur, Li Wanruo started laughing.
"Miss Li, are you laughing at me right now? How dare you laugh at me! You think that just because you have the Li family standing behind you that you can do whatever you want?" Ronald was absolutely certain that he had succeeded in offending Li Wanruo and so he spoke in a more provocative tone in order to outrage her even more.
Contrary to what Ronald looked like on the surface, right now he was actually secretly thanking Li Wanruo in his heart for being an actual normal heroine and allowing him to leave early from this shitty plot.
After everyone else heard about Ronald's comment, everyone had also confirmed their suspicion about Ronald, this wasn't even a matter of being a complete idiot at this point, Ronald was definitely a lunatic and needs to be put in a mental institution after this if he somehow actually makes it out alive today.
Just as everyone thought Li Wanruo's next move was going to be something extremely brutal...
"I'm sorry for everything that my subordinates has caused you, Young Master Kuangge. I promise to you that I will educate them better next time." Li Wanruo politely bowed down and apologized.
Everyone in the auction house was petrified.
Not once had they ever seen anyone in the Wanruo family apologized or even bowed down to anyone, let alone the eldest lady of the Wanruo family.
On the other hand, Ronald was having a mental breakdown.
Just as he thought that he was able to leave the auction house soon, a sudden plot twist came.
'...'
'Are you fucking kidding me right now?'
'I JUST WANT TO FINISH THIS FUCKING PLOT AND GO HOME, WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME RIGHT NOW?'
'GOD FUCKING DAMN IT!'
