27 Auction (2)

The stage where the auction will take place was clearly visible from the VIP lounge. There was still half an hour left till the auction began. A rather attractive woman carrying a tray cart entered Chu Xuan's room. She was dressed as a maid, and her dress bore the logo of the auction house. She was obviously the staff member assigned to the room.

Chu Xuan received a respectful bow from the female waitress, who then enquired, "Sir, would you want to drink anything?"

Chu Xuan simply said, "I would have a glass of Pint Noir," after taking a casual look at the selection of beverages. As the maid was going to serve him and pour a glass of the red wine, she unexpectedly slipped, causing the glass and the liquid to fall on Chu Xuan. He wore a light colored suit so the wine stains could be seen clearly.

The very next moment his expression turned gloomy, Chu Xuan yelled at the maid, "Lowly maid do you even realize how much this suit simply costs!". The clothing worn by Chu Xuan is custom crafted and quite pricey. With the money from the outfit, a middle-class family could subsist for a whole year.

The maid immediately went into a frenzy because she couldn't believe she had made such a simple error. She was aware that the VIP room guests were notable individuals who wouldn't be amenable to being provoked.

"I apologize greatly, sir. I'll bring some cleaning supplies immediately". His subsequent statements caused her to sink into deep despair as he clutched her hand and wouldn't let her leave, despite her attempts to apologize for spilling the wine.

"This custom-made outfit costs 500,000 syli and is of the highest quality. Do not even consider leaving without paying for it." The sound of Chu Xuan's voice was audible to virtually everyone in the vicinity of his room.

After hearing this, the maid's face darkened immediately. She came from a lower-class working background. She puts in a lot of effort each day to pay her debts. The conditions in her home weren't great either. Her yearly salary didn't even come close to a quarter of it, let alone paying such a significant sum.

The maid stutter-replied, "h-huh," before instantly breaking down in tears and falling on her knees "I come from a low-income household, sir. I have to find a way to cover my father's medical expenses while he is also in the hospital. I don't have this much amount of money."

[Sigh, I don't want to do this but I have no option either.]

[I hope she doesn't get too traumatized by it.]

Chu Xuan grinned when he heard this. The maid felt as though the Devil was staring at her when he smiled, saying, "If you can't pay, simply be my slave and I will consider this to have never happened." The maid was surprised to hear this and made an effort to beg him, but he refused.

Lin Hao entered Chu Xuan's room just as the maid was about to give up hope by shouting, "What do you think you are doing Chu Xuan forcing a poor maid to be your slave?" loudly enough for everyone to hear.

Chu Xuan appeared to be admiring a fool as he turned his attention from the maid to Lin Hao. "Who are you to criticize what I do? My suit was wrecked by this maid, therefore she must make amends in some way. If not, she is welcome to serve me in bed as payment." he simple stated.

"You are straying too far. How many of these outfits do you own? You force her to do something she clearly cannot because you know she cannot afford it." Lin Hao said giving a stern look to him.

"Why don't you just pay for her instead, if you want to pretend so much? Oh, I completely forgot how can a person like you have such an amount." Chu Xuan stated in jest. The maid, who had a slender optimism that was quickly dashed by hearing this, had the same reaction. Lin Hao simply smiled to himself.

[Now that you've come to act like the issue wasn't your fault, tsk tsk.]

[How do you think the maid slipped? Simple it was Azalea who tripped her based on your instructions.]

Lin Hao was thrilled because he knew this was his chance to play along. He was about to pull out his Black American Expressway card, which has no set spending cap and was only issued to 50 people worldwide. In order to make a good impression on the young miss of the auction house, he planned to face-slap Chu Xuan and win the support of the maid.

"What's going on over here?" The sound attracted the attention of Lin Hao and Chu Xuan.

A stunningly attractive woman came into view. She wore a scarlet dress with a high slit and high heels and had long, black, silky hair and yellow eyes. She had a slim figure which could make many models back to shame. Many people wearing dresses with auction house insignia followed the woman.

She was supposed to arrive after Lin Hao slapped me, but she showed there early. Chu Xuan scowled as he considered this, yet he was still pleased to see her.

The woman was another one of the heroines, Hua Qing Si. She came from a family of ancient martial artist. She had a very profound cultivation at a young age. Naturally she was very arrogant and ruthless. She was after all the young miss of the Hua family.

"Don't make me ask again, someone better tell me fast." Hua Qing Si glared at everyone in the room as she spoke in a harsher tone.

They all turned to stare at Chu Xuan while remaining silent. Upon observing this, Lin Hao took the initiative to clarify, "Miss Hua, so what happened was that " He told her everything that had happened, including how he was going to make the payment in her place.

"Do you have anything to say?" Hua Qing Si stared angrily at Lin Hao before directing her attention to Chu Xuan.

Chu Xuan said indignantly and with conceit "Hua Qing Si don't think you being from the Hua family can save this worthless maid. She must pay because she damaged my suit. If she can't she has to serve me."

[Hahaha, She has a short fuse and will soon blow.]

As Hua Qing Si glanced at Chu Xuan, her fists clenched and her face trembled with rage. When Lin Hao saw this, he was internally quite thrilled since he was aware that while being attractive, this woman had a short fuse and a fiery temperament.

Even though Chu Xuan was the victim here, Hua Qing Si would never permit her staff to be abused, and his request was excessive. Nobody who has ever spoken to her so haughtily has ever had a happy ending.

But neither of the two expected what actually transpired. When she was in a more composed state, she asked Lin Hao, "You said you were going to pay for her?"

When she said, "Yes, how could I allow someone do such wrong in front of me?" Lin Hao immediately became ecstatic. Lin Hao believed that what he did was right.

"All right, I'll let you pay for her." She said nonchalantly. "You can stand up now; someone else will take your position here.", she said as she turned to walk away and noticed the maid kneeling down in silence.

"However, little miss, I " The maid began to speak, but Hua Qing Si interrupted her by demanding, "What? Wasn't this man supposed to cover your expenses? After saying "thank you," return to your task."

After stating this, she immediately exited the room, leaving everyone in a state of confusion.
