Becoming A Bandit

A young man ran through the woods, sweat dripping from his forehead and a frightened look on his face.

'No way! There's an actual monster! I have to get out of here!' He thought as he ran through the forest, adrenaline pumping through him.

Eventually he became tired once again and decided to rest, he found a tree and climbed up.

He recalled looking at that strange monster devouring some sort of meat on the ground, sending shivers down his spine.

'It looked like a person that was blended up and molded back into a humanoid shape, there's no way that thing is human, or atleast not anymore.'

He took out his phone, he immediately went to his messaging app and told his family what was going on.

Even after a few minutes no one answered. Seeing this, he called 911 and whispered what was going on.

But no one would believe such a unbelievable story, the operator hung up and left him there.

Suddenly he smelled a foul scent and could feel something breathing on him. 'What the–'

"AAAHHHHHHHHHHH" A loud scream of pain echoed through the dark and quiet forest.

Divine Continents, Northern Continent, Treacherous Region, Evil Bandit's hideout.

"Boss? Bosssss, wake up!" One of the many bandits in the cave shook another who seemed to be sleeping on a throne made of stone.

The man woke up, looked around, then gained a perplexed look on his face.

'Where am I? Who are you guys?' Is what he wanted to say, but he wasn't able to say it. A sudden pain appeared in his head, he dropped to the ground and clutched his head tightly.

"GOD DAMN IT!" As the pain went away, fist sized holes appeared in the stone below him. Many foreign memories invaded his mind.

After relieving them, he immediately had to act like the person he now was otherwise he'd be in for trouble. He decided he'd figure things out later.

He was now Shi Hu, a notorious bandit group leader who has committed many crimes, he was also decently powerful, on par with 3 elders of a third-rate sect.

"Get me some water." Shi Hu said as he got back up and sat back on the throne. Seeing the scene and the anger of their boss, most of the bandit's backs were straighter than a ruler.

The bandit that Shi Hu had spoken too spoke while stuttering: "Y- yes Boss Hu! I will get it right away!" He scrambled away to get some water right after.

Shi Hu looked at the rows of bandits in front of him, previously the original body had called everyone here to tell them to get ready to wage war on a nearby sect, but now he had other plans.

Currently their hideout was small and could barely fit everyone, the cave they were in could definitely be expanded and the ores inside could be harvested.

Shi Hu cleared his throat and grabbed the cup of water that the bandit to his left had brought him.

Shii Hu needed something to distract the bandits with for now, he noticed the hideout was pretty small so he knew what to say.

"Today I have brought you all here to expand our little base. Currently our living situation is as good as being a poor civillian."

Some mutters could be heard from the bandits, a few of them spoke up:

"Boss Hu, how do we do that? Are we gonna raid someone's sect?" Said one of the bandits.

Another one stood up and asked, "Or are we gonna literally expand our home?"

Shi Hu stood up and went outside, he had it in his memory bit he wanted a better look.

At this moment their hideout was carved into a mountain like a secret base from a popular modern game about building.

With his knowledge it'd be possible to create a better living space in there.

He brought the bandits to each wall and carefully instructed what to do, each one was given a sword to do it with since there were no pickaxes.

In this world there was cultivation, the current power Shi Hu had was at the 6th stage of the Black Warrior realm, that meant he could easily destroy half a forest with his full power.

The bandits he commanded were at the mid to late staged of the Yellow Warrior realm, that meant they could each put a hole through a tree with their fingers.

Carving stone was no issue to them so they did what Shi Hu said and started the plan to expand.

As they did, Shi Hu went back to his room, it was spacious but it was made out of stone with only the furniture being normal.

He sat on his bed and thought over what he would do.

'I've distracted them for now, would they be able to realize im.not their Boss Hu or whatever' He asked himself.

Once he started to think about his actual plans, an orb of light came out of his head and created a flat rectangle in front of him.

Shi Hu looked at it and thought it was a hologram, "What the?"

It displayed some information to Shi Hu, surprising him.

'It's cool, unfortunately it's just displaying info, nothing that'll help me.' He sighed and looked at it some more.

Shi Hu looked at it in interest before saying, "Open."

Suddenly the system panel created more of itself, each of them displaying different items that are claimable.

Shi Hu's jaws dropped ad he saw the rewards. The grades of items and weapons were: yellow, black, earth, heaven, ancient, immortal.

Most third-rate sects don't have a earth grade sword since they are very rare, it would be worth round 50,000 taels of silver and that's just the base price.

Dimension rings have an individual space inside of them used for storing things, the one he received had 50 meters by 50 meters of space, with 1000 taels of silver inside. It would be worth around 3000 taels+1000 from the one inside.

The real treasure is the their's string, it was at the Heaven tier which was something found rarely even in second-rate sects.

It was an artifact, which meant its power grew with the host. The thief's thread was a special artifact, it wasn't a regular weapon.

It was a thread that could be hardened and sharpened by the users spiritual essence, which is basically qi.

It could also be lengthened infinitely as long as the user had the strength for it. It could be strong enough to slice through mountains or it could be cut with scissors, it all depended on the user.

Shi Hu immediately claimed all the rewards, a redish sword, a nice looking ring, and a silver thread all fell put of thin air onto his lap.
