1 Day 1

Jiang Li woke up to the sound of a moving carriage. His head felt like it had been kicked by a donkey and he could feel the throbbing pain as he grimaced in pain. He struggled to open his eyes and observed his surroundings. He was in a confined space surrounded by black wooden planks. There were also a few young men and women dressed in ancient robes sitting together. Some of them looked at him gloatingly, while others completely ignored him.

As he struggled to get up, he felt a sharp pain in his mind. It was as if his intracranial pressure had suddenly increased. Accompanied by a pain that felt like his brain was about to explode, many unfamiliar memories of someone's life flashed through his mind like a revolving door. Jiang Li's legs gave way, his eyes rolled back, and he fainted again.

When he woke up, he realized that he had transmigrated into another world, similar to the setting of ancient times often seen in dramas and novels. Here, there were real immortals. Coincidentally, his current body was also called Jiang Li, the son of a martial arts family.

Half a month ago, during a test, the original body's luck was very good, and he was checked to have cultivation aptitude, also known as spiritual root. This was the key to cultivating in this world and being accepted into a cultivation sect.

Jiang Li was on a carriage heading towards the cultivation sect, but he could not shake off the feeling that something was off. As he tried to make sense of the memories and information flooding his mind, he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. He couldn't quite put his finger on what it was, but he knew that something was different about him.

As he sat there, lost in thought, he suddenly noticed something strange. He realized that he could analyze things in a way he never could before. It was as if his mind had been given a new ability, one that allowed him to see the world in a different light.

He closed his eyes and tried to focus on the sound of the carriage wheels. As he listened, he could feel something stirring inside of him. It was as if he could sense the weight of the carriage, the movement of the wheels, and even the pressure of the water beneath them.

He opened his eyes and looked around, trying to understand what was happening to him. It was then that he realized that he had the ability to turn his observations into knowledge. He could analyze things and turn them into new skills and abilities.

He thought back to the memory of an animal stepping on top of water and how it moved so gracefully. He could feel the muscles in his legs start to move and he found himself mimicking the animal's movements. He felt a sense of power and control he had never felt before.

Jiang Li couldn't help but smile, he knew that this power was both a gift and a curse. He didn't know the origin of this power or its limitations, but he knew that it could be a powerful tool for him in this new world. He just needed to be careful and use it wisely, for there was much that could go wrong.

He sat back and let the memories and information continue to flood his mind, knowing that with each new piece of knowledge, he was one step closer to understanding this new power and the world he had been thrown into.

Jiang Li tried to keep a low profile as he practiced the move he had learned from the memory of the animal stepping on water. He knew that showing too much talent in this new world could attract unwanted attention and even danger. However, as he was practicing, the other passengers on the carriage couldn't help but notice his strange movements.

"What is he doing? Is he trying to learn martial arts on his own?" one of them scoffed.

"He probably doesn't have the qualifications to be going to the same sect as us," another chimed in.

Jiang Li ignored their taunts and continued to focus on his training. He didn't want to get into an altercation with them, but he also didn't want to be underestimated.

Just as the teasing was getting out of hand, a teacher who was escorting them on the journey spoke up. "If you don't shut up, I'll break your legs," he warned in a stern voice.

Jiang Li let out a sigh of relief, grateful for the teacher's intervention. He knew that he needed to be careful in this new world, and he didn't want to draw too much attention to himself. He would continue to practice in secret, and perhaps one day, he would be able to show off his true mastery of martial arts without fear of being targeted.

After several days of travel, the carriage finally arrived at the sect, and Jiang Li stepped out to take in the sight. The sect was divided into two sections: the outer sect and the inner sect. Jiang Li was assigned to the outer sect, which was not as grandiose as the inner sect. He could see from afar that the inner sect was very grandiose, with tall buildings and lush gardens. He couldn't help but feel a twinge of disappointment. He knew that access to the inner sect was limited, and only the most talented and powerful cultivators were allowed in.

Jiang Li was taken to the registration office where he received a token that would allow him to enter the sect's grounds. He was then assigned to a house in the outer sect, which was in a state of disrepair. The roof leaked and the walls were crumbling. Jiang Li couldn't help but feel a sense of disappointment as he looked around. He knew that his new home would be a far cry from the grandeur of the inner sect.

Jiang Li spent the next few days familiarizing himself with the sect and the people in it. He quickly realized that the outer sect was looked down upon by the inner sect members, and he knew that he had to work twice as hard to catch up with others, as his current body was very weak.
