Seige(2)( Volume 5 Chapter 2)

Duke-"My brave soldier today marks the 200th year when the Royal family of the Linval kingdom handed over the management of the fort to the House Daleinwold at that time when my great grandfather was just an Earl, his majesty at that time asked him to defend this fort with only his hundred feudal knights when the enemies were in thousands. People said it was impossible, they said the royal family wanted to subdue the newly rising earl family but my great grandfather took it differently he took it as honour and a symbol of the faith of the Royal family on him and the House Daleinwold. With his few hundred knights, he survived the incoming attack and created the legend of the fort. The Invincible Wayne Fort the fortress that never fell. my great grandfather was promoted to Duke and it is because of him that House Daleinwold is one of the only four duke houses in the entire Linval kingdom and today I want to tell you, that we will continue his legacy and make sure the fortress never falls for the next two hundred years to come."

Crowd-" All hail the Duke Axon Daleinwold."

Crowd-" Long live the kingdom"

Cheers ran out from his speech and I didn't want to mention but the charisma of leader could be seen in him.

I am from Earth so I had a set mindset of noble being greedy and useless only throwing off their authority among the commoner and even if teg greedy part may be true for him but I don't think a leader with charisma like this could be useless and his presence although not deadly like the goddess or that assassin look pretty intimidating nevertheless.

The duke gave his speech and was coming down from the stage waving his hands to the crowd of people cheering and form what it looks like is going on a tour to check the state of the fort and its residents which meant a perfect chance for me to act.

So what spell will I use to destroy the fort must be the question of the hour and the answer to that is....none.

I don't need to use spells to directly attack the fort and I am pretty sure I can surely destroy a wall or two and still escape unscathed there may be capable and strong people besides the duke but I am confident in my running speed but I don't want to that because any third class villain could also do that and that's I believe what would the common way of doing things and if I am going to bring ruin to this invincible fort Wayne at least I will do it in my own way.

The security of the knights of the inner section has lightened as many of them had to escort the duke in his tour which made my slipping into the fortified mansion easier, I had done some research on the duke Axon and came to know about a strange hobby of his that he enjoyed gladiator fights surely the kingdom had many Colosseums where slaves fight for money and freedom but their weapons were blunt and the fight was done with the entertainment aspect in mind and was mostly scripted but what he enjoyed was a real fight and fight to the death and for that he bought slave illegal and had a large number of them.

Let me tell you about Demihumans they are the races which speak the language of the races or the language of the humans to be exact and aren't humans

Six Demi-Humans.

This was the title of the six demi-human tribes with the closest relation with the 6 major magic systems.

Dwarves, with the deepest connection with <Fire>.

Elves, who were intimate with <Water>.

Cait Sith, sworn friends with the <Wind>.

Goblins, the kin of the <Earth>.

Sprites, the children of <Light>.

Shades, who grew in the <Darkness>.

Of course, other than these there were many more diverse demi-human tribes and clans, but these six were the most famous.

And if you are thinking about why I am giving a crash course on demihumans it is so because I am currently in a prison in the fortified fortress which has thousand of those mentioned demihumans.

The duke Axon being the battle junky he is running an underground battle arena of slaved demihumans who may or may not be captured but consists majority of criminal slaves. he forced them to fight them to death there which was supposed to be illegal according to the law of the kingdom but is allowed as some money earned in betting is given to the Royal Family and

they don't use human which would bring them the wrath of the church which accepts and helps all but are most favourable to humans.

Inside the prison were many chained demihumans but I couldn't pity them as even though they were forced to fight to the death as slaves and I didn't like slavery as someone being from the slave free Earth.

Majority of them were criminal slaves and most have commended horrific crimes to become one but it is true that I will help them as I am kind and I will help them by giving them their most desired freedom. I went to each cell one by one liberating the prisoners. Instead of thanking me they were grinning among themselves and left to the place I believe what would be the armoury of the fortress. if they are useless they may serve as a distraction and if they are useful they may act as rebellion, either way, I don't believe any of them would survive this because they are just a part of my plan. as I had unlocked all the cells and the criminal slaves had also released there brethren and left. I could hear a sobbing sound.

as I was going near the source at the last cell in the deeper part of the prison there was probably a girl weeping. The strange thing about that was that she was the only she in the whole prison each and every one of those criminal slaves was a man. I couldn't see her figure properly as it was pretty dark but form the high pitch voice I could assume it was a girl.

I opened the cell by breaking the lock and what in front of me was a chained girl with black hair like my original form of Valor but she had an extra pair of ears which looked like that of dog and she had a black tail.

Dog girl -" sob...sob....Who are you? mister."

Death Lord-" Just your everyday Avenger."
